Absolutely Beautiful Arrangement. I am always somewhat wary of purchasing flowers from vendors I'm not familiar with as I have been burned in the past. I told the lady on the phone I wanted fresh flowers in a glass vase, what I wanted to spend. I explained that I didn't want a bunch of filler flowers. I also told her of the horrible flowers I got the previous year from Scheriville Florist. She said you don't need to worry about a thing, she would do a beautiful arrangement for me and she surely did. I could not have been happier with the outcome. Personalized service and products win every time! I wasn't impressed by the generic FTD arrangements offered on the website, so I decided to call the florist directly- and am very glad I did. I emailed a few "golf memorial" pictures I'd seen online and provided a budget, but asked them to "just make something nice." They created a beautiful and unique display- including a little keepsake statue. There was no comparison to the items listed by FTD- especially for the price point. Oh am I so glad I can review them on Yelp! My family has gone to Cedar Lake florist for years, and they do gorgeous funeral flowers and casket sprays (my Papa's funeral was so beautiful). But I digress, in addition to that, what I really want to talk about is how with only a one week notice, they were able to put together a gorgeous cascading bridal bouquet for me, that was unique and gorgeous. My husband and I wanted some wedding photos taken back home in Indiana and it was only natural I'd need a bouquet, which also worked out perfectly since we also did another reception the next day. The bouquet was so unique and so perfect, I keep forgetting to call and ask about what flowers they used because as per usual, cedar lake florist always uses the most unique flowers I've ever seen, which is probably why Me and my family love them so much, it's not run of the mill. Marilyn and her staff at Cedar Lake Florists created the most beautiful wedding bouquet and floral arrangements for my wedding. I had no idea what I wanted. I explained what types and colors of flowers I liked and they created the most beautiful bouquet for me to match my dresses. She even helped me pick out a card basket (a repurposed bird cage) that she wrapped in tulle which was just beautiful. I have NEVER done this in my life, and when I called them with a budget in mind, not only was Cedar Lake Florist able to provide a plentiful amount of options within my price range, but they helped me through each decision. After going through the options, I put my faith in Cedar Lake florist to make the best arrangement possible based on my budget, and left it in their hands. Not only did Cedar Lake insure that the arrangement made it to the funeral home coordinating visitation and funeral - but they made the best and most beautiful arrangement of the day (according to guests of the funeral and family members). Cedar Lake Florist provided all the flowers for my son's wedding and reception. It was a large bridal party, 20 attendants including the flower girl and ring bearer. All of their bouquets were beautiful and the brides was exquisite! The flowers and centerpieces at the church and reception were gorgeous! The owners and staff of Cedar Lake Florist were both friendly and professional, They took great care in making sure that all the flowers were perfect for our son's special day. I wish I didn't have to give a star but that's the minimum. I made an appointment with the owner to get a price quote on my wedding flowers. The meeting went great she understood exactly what I wanted. The owner stated she had to double check on some prices on a specific item and would call me during the week. My mother and I left feeling confident that we found our wedding florist.... the up coming week went by and still haven't heard from the owner. The following week I figured I would call and see if she had gotten the final amount. She forgot who I was and had no recollection of meeting with me. I nicely reminded her who I was and what I wanted. when she rudely replied that she has been way to busy dealing with other stuff that she hasn't gotten to my price quote yet. When I asked her when does she think she can get that quote she replied she was going on vacation and will not work on anything until she gets back. That was the last time I heard from her. It's been a month and still haven't heard anything. I am beyond disgusted with her establishment. I strongly suggest going somewhere else. read more
