We are on vacation in Emerald Isle. We went out to our car after eating dinner, and it wouldn't start. After a few nice folks trying to help us, we still couldn't get it started. We called AAA, and had it towed to Cedar Point Tire. They had it fixed quickly the next day. Thankfully an easy fix, and VERY affordable. When we were stranded, our daughter ran 4.5 miles to get her car to pick us up(elderly parents with us). We noticed her brakes sounded awful like metal on metal. So they're getting her brakes fixed up properly for us too. I need to add that our boat is with us down on the dock in the water. We needed our vehicle to tow the boat home. They saved us A LOT of worry and money. We definitely will use them in the future, hopefully in better circumstances though. It's great having someone you can trust when you're in a sticky situation. This place is incredible! I had my oil changed and new tires installed before we headed out for a week's vacation in Emerald Isle. On the way down we heard a loud thumping noise when going over 50 MPH. No warning lights provided the cause of the problem. We felt like it was the carriage liner, but couldn't be sure. Took it to CP Tire and we had the problem solved in less than 2 hours. When the oil was changed before we left for our trip, the local mechanic forgot to secure the liner. CPT gave us two options, they could easily and safely secure the liner with zip ties until we returned home, or order the new part and repair it. We chose the zip ties. Got a flat tire while vacationing in the area. Stopped in to get it fixed on a Saturday morning. These guys were extremely busy but fit me in and had me out in about an hour. This included repairing the tire, remounting on the truck and returning the spare to its normal storage location. Listening to the two gentlemen at the service counter provide timely and precise communications to their customers, including explaining their findings on maintenance requests, showed me how much these guys understand customer service and customer loyalty. This was the best mechanical repair facility interactions I have had (and heard) in my entire 54 years of life. Great Job!!!! read more

AWESOME experience with Cedar Point Tire (CPT)! Long story short, I was headed to the beach and an alert popped up on my truck saying to check right front tire immediately. Wife searched the nearest tire center - I called CPT at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon, and the lady I talked with worked me in and was ready for me when I arrived. The service tech diagnosed the problem immediately, fixed the weight/balance of the tire, and I was on my way within 30 minutes. The shop was super clean, well organized, and they had great popcorn in the waiting area In the future, CPT will be my "go-to" for anything tire related in Carteret County. read more

I go out of my way to come to Cedar Point Tire. The staff is friendly,knowledgeable and always polite. I have had oil changes and tire repair done so far. There are times where I had to wait awhile to get my car in or make an appointment a week or more in advance. It didn't matter because they have fair prices, they don't hassle you to get more out of you and they are upfront about appointments and prices. Recommended to get my flat fixed there by Gray's Texaco towing in Morehead. Cedar Point Tire was very professional, reasonable, and courteous. It's extremely busy so appointments are weeks off but they fixed my flat in a couple of hours after we dropped it off, while we toured the local state park. We were nervous about whether we needed a new tire etc. but they unmounted the tire, patched from inside, told us that plugging would void the warranty on the almost-new tire. Less than $20 for a tire patch on vacation is amazing. I fully expected a $100 bill and a full day without car. Instead I dropped it off before golf, and it was done before I was finished golfing. The owner even gave some recommendations for good courses in the area. Highly recommend. read more
