I absolutely love this place, it's a place i ALWAYS recommend to all of my friends, and never stop talking about. The hookah is above average, and the food and drinks just keep getting better. I went in with a friend to get some knafeh (a dessert) and the three people in the front didn't even acknowledge us. My friend asked the server if that was the knafeh...no response, she didn't even look up from the screen. The two guys were just standing there doing absolutely nothing. This one random lady came in the door and they said hello to her while we are just standing there and started a conversation about the knafeh. She decided to buy the ENTIRE dish and we said that we were there for the knafeh too so hopefully they can make both of us happy....well the guy goes to the back and gets a to-go container to put the entire knafeh for her and we are literally just standing watching the whole thing. Good food and good hookah. They usually have Arabic music playing at a moderate level and large screens for games, etc. They have a very broad menu selection- my friends liked their food, mine was good except it was a bit colder than I would have liked. The service was surprisingly really good so It made up for the cold food. I'm sure if I said something the server would've warmed it up for me! I would go back, and would also recommend this place to a friend. My only feedback to the management is to make sure the food is a tad bit warmer! read more

Lets start from the main entrance. Not the nicest front door but once u enter the cafe, the smell of food is good! Then u take a seat at the lounge. Seatings are comfortable and alot of tvs and screens to watch football/soccer or even esport. Staff were the nicest person ive met. Didnt get his name but he's sure remember us from the last visit. We ordered Gyro Plate with fries and Kafta Plate with rice. It was a lovely meal. Just a suggestion, a touch of salt would not hurt (this is just my preference). Ambience was cool with a lot of customer hangout to satisfy their shisha cravings. Overall this is a place to revisit for middle eastern food. read more

Ok, so I've given this place several tries and each time they have failed in providing a "decent" hookah. I've gone as far as even bringing up the issue of the hookah drying out and burning too quick to the manager twice. Although I was assured that the hookah will not burn as quick and lose its flavor, the exact opposite happened. This time the hookah lasted about 80 minutes before it was dead. On the positive side, the ambiance is nice and the charcoal guys come fairly quick. But the most important part of your visit here is the problem... the hookah. Save your money, go somewhere where they know how to make a hookah. BTW, I came here with two different friends on two separate occasions and they even laughed at how poor the hookah is. read more

Looks like a good environment for having some hookah with friends - but, totally inept communication and kitchen. Came in with a friend that is allergic to egg - we were told there's no egg in our food order. Itching and nausea started immediately after eating. I raised this with our waitress, two kitchen staff, and another lady that jumped in (manager? . Watch how this absurdity went down. They insisted there is no egg in the meal. I asked the group of staff what the sauce was. It's garlic mayonnaise. I told them mayo has egg in it. Not this one they say, no egg. I insist. And request deeper research. They come back and say don't worry it's only egg white. Are you kidding me?!! It's very simple. You serve something we consume and we have the right to know what we're eating. When your staff lacks knowledge they need to say "I don't know" - our entire evening and following day were ruined by intense pain and violent sickness. We are all lucky the diner didn't eat further than the first bite...an ER visit with intubation would've been needed to ward off death. Allergies are serious. Trust is critical. read more

I have come here over the years and let me just say, when this place first opened up it was great. But as they started getting more traffic they stopped caring and their hookah is just horrible at this point. They put in no effort in making it. Every time I smoke their hookah I feel SICK TO MY STOMACH. And I get so dizzy. It is not worth your money, unless you wanna pay to feel sick. You are better off making your own hookah at home. The service itself is not great, their are only 2 or 3 respectful people that work there. If I want to go smoke hookah - I never immediately think to go to this place but lately I have ended up here a lot - mostly because of its location being next to Mosaic. I don't remember ever having any real issues except they take forever with the coco nara goals and one of the hookah guys is really rude. You can tell he just doesn't want to be there and treats everyone that way as well. I have had their food one time and it wasn't bad, nothing special. I've been coming to Cedars since they opened. It's a place to go with friends, to study, or for a chill date. The music is typically Lebanese, but it's not loud enough that it drowns out conversations. Customers tend be between the ages of 20-35; you'll even see families for traditional Lebanese food. Their menu ranges: you can order a traditional shawarma sandwich (best in VA) or a play between American and Lebanese like the cedar special sub. I'm a fan of their desserts. They have Oreo milkshakes, Nutella milkshakes, a variety of fruit smoothies, macaroons, baklava, and fruit cocktails. The cocktail is by far the best. They top it with freshly made qashta (cream). When I come to study I ordered an iced coffee. Their barista can make any drink I ask, whether it's a Carmel macchiato or a frappe. The place has improved a lot since it first opened. A lot more spacious, bigger menu, more seating. It keeps getting better. read more

Adding to the fact, their hookas are great, as they properly clean them up and don't serve the same hookah with different flavors to different people, which changes how your hookah tastes when ordered. Overall, great service to both Full timers and first timers here. I especially recommend ordering the shish tawook(Lebanese style with garlic, fries, and pickles) and the fattoush salad.
