I really like that the wines are estate grown and naturally made, so yes...you kind of never know what you are going to get. A certain style will be very different here from one vintage to the next. We went as a group of five and wine tasted both reds and whites and had dinner. The ambiance is wonderful-- peaceful, beautiful, overlooking the vineyards and a barn. Service was very good even though our server couldn't tell us much about the vineyard and wasn't sure what varietals they grow there, so we looked it up and found it on google. The wines from the tasting were a little hit or miss. We liked two from the white tasting (one was actually a suprisingly good rose) and two from the reds. The collective favorite was the Ranch House red and I'd recommend simply ordering a glass of that rather than doing the $30 tasting flight of six. The food was also a little hit or miss. My husband found his ribeye to be the perfect temperature but overly fatty (translation, the grill was not hot enough). My father in law got the burger and felt it was excellent. The rest of us got the shrimp pasta and felt it was excellent too. Be sure to try the bread as an appetizer-- the local artisan butter will make you want to give up store-bought butter for the rest of your life. Overall, this is a great choice for a nice dinner out. There was live music playing and it made for a wonderful evening out. Ideal for a date, anniversary, or family dinner. We will definitely be back.

We ordered the charcuterie board and the bread and cheese plate as well. They were okay, but still paired nicely with the wines. The highlight, though, was the view. It was absolutely stunning and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Between the wine, the atmosphere, and the scenery, we had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.

We decided to follow through on the adventure, as we jumped into the car, dropped the top, and headed down a winding road toward the property. Upon arrival, I was thrilled to find the parking area was paved and the winery appeared to be new, perched atop a valley overlooking trees, vines, and green farmland. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owner and staff with friendly smiles. After a brief explanation from the owner, we selected two tasting flights and took a seat outside to enjoy the view. Flight 1: 2024 Pinot Grigio, 2023 Rose, 2021 Red Blend, 2023 Muscat. Flight 2: 2023 Teroldego (Distant cousin of Syrah), 2022 Merlot, 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2021 Red Blend. The property was rustic yet modern, resembling a family room, living room, bar, and dining room, with a spacious outdoor entertainment area for all to enjoy, featuring sofas, coffee tables with fire pits, and end tables. Other seating options included picnic tables and beach chairs, perched at different levels along the cliff overlooking the vines and valleys below. On this particular day, it was quite windy, which made the outdoor option a bit chilly. This winery has food vendors, but allows patrons to bring food for on-site consumption. Overall, the experience was nice and relaxing, with gentle music playing in the background, allowing for pleasant conversations without the bar atmosphere typically found at wineries in Temecula. The wine was nice and refreshing, as we sipped and enjoyed the prosciutto, cheese, fruit, and chips we brought along. Adobe Hill is a definite return in the near future, having checked all of my favorable boxes.

The…read moreowners, Jim & Judy, were the most gracious and generous hosts, both pouring and giving us the history of the wine and their winery. We tried 12 of approximately 18 selections. Some notables included: a '16 Vermentino, '13 Barbera, '13 "Zintastic" Zinfandel, '13 Renegade, '13 Reserve Syrah, '13 Redemption, '13 Petite Sirah, and a "Petite Sweetie" (Petite Sirah dessert wine). My wife enjoyed everything and I had high scores on eight. We ended up purchasing four bottles to add to our collection, including a '13 Tempranillo and a '14 Malbec, which were not available for tasting, but based on everything else Jim made, I'm sure we'll love. They waived the tasting fee due to our purchase of four bottles (very generous). It's an adventure to drive to this out-of-the-way property, but the views of the surrounding hills and wines are well worth it. Only slightly negative comment I have is that parking is very limited and it's a steep climb from the parking area to the tasting room. I've wanted to visit this location since before Covid but never got around to it. Finally this year a friend and I were trying to visit as many museums as possible during San Diego Museum Month (February) and when I told him about it he was totally in. I knew from the website that the collection was large but didn't know what to expect. We walked in and bought tickets. The gentleman at the counter was helpful and explained how the museum and the wine tasting worked. He led us over the entrance to the cars and told us about the main building and then told us how to get to the two outbuildings that were part of the tour. The main building has the wine tasting, seating, kitchen, and bathroom. There were some cool artifacts in the building. We were both so impressed by what we saw. THEN...we walked down the path to the garage and our minds were blown! BLOWN! There was some seriously spectacular history in that garage. The cars and the collected fridges, radios, toys, and other items housed there. When we walked up to the third building we were once again stunned at the beauty of the cars and bikes and such there. I would never be able to pick out a favourite because there were just too many treasures. I've been to the museum three times this year because once I mention it to someone they insist on checking it out and I would never say no. The wine tasting was a lot of fun too. They have different types seasonally and all of the wine we drank was pretty good. I bought a couple of bottles. You can bring your own snacks and nibbles to go with your wine. Go. Visit. Check out. NOT JUST CARS An interesting collection of mostly…read moreconvertible cars and other Americana and collectibles (i.e. Vintage TVs, appliances, radios, Barbie dolls, etc.), housed in three separate structures in a winery setting. PRICE TO ENTER When you first enter, you will be in a gift shop/entry area where you pay at the desk. The cost was $14 per adult in April 2026. (Discounts offered for seniors, military and kids). IT NEEDS A REFRESH Overall, I felt the museum needed a bit of a refresh and rebrand. It's tired, dated and a little clumsy and cluttered. The items in the gift shop look like they've been there for decades. There are odd pieces of furniture lying around nestled between the cars along with cardboard stand-ups of Marilyin Monroe and dated photographs. The descriptive signage next to the cars are on the floor and wordy, hard to read. There was dust, dirt and cobwebs in display cabinets. It felt like someone had collected all this stuff, put it on display and then forgot about it. The cars and their paintwork were in great condition and paintwork was dust-free and shiny. It would have been nice to have learned about the owner or the story behind the collection, but we weren't given any brochures and there weren't any docents to ask. BARBIE COLLECTION In one building there's a small room with a large collection of boxed Barbie dolls from years past with a few Barbie cars as well. Again, it all looked a little tired and forgotten. WINE BY THE GLASS OR TASTING We didn't stick around for wine or wine tasting, but there were people there enjoying the patio and live music. There's a refrigerator with charcuterie and cold drinks available for purchase. The vineyards were pretty with roses and benches dotted around. Picnic tables are available out front. Their web site is one page, not terribly informative and again, could do with an update and refresh. Parking is complimentary.
