Overall, not really impressed by the sauce (slightly too sweet), the crust (floppy and dry), but the cheese covered the pizza well. The pizza didn't really have anything notable about it, so I probably wouldn't order that again. The fries had ham-like bacon the day that I ordered, with wayy too much swiss and cheddar cheese so they tasted kind of out of sorts. Unfortunately the food has really gone downhill. I've been a customer for 15 years. Lately the food has arrived overcooked, under seasoned, orders incorrect and taking an hour to get. Tonight I specified to omit two allergens from my husband's gyro platter. They were included in abundance. When I spoke with the store, I was told my request wasn't heard (despite the fact I repeated it twice) and they could do nothing. No replacement offered, no partial refund. I ended up giving my spouse half my food. He's a diabetic with specific needs in addition to certain food allergies. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told they were unavailable. The other day, we found a menu at our front door for Fishtown Pizza so we decided to try it for delivery last night. We called and ordered from them directly as we have had the WORST experience with Grub Hub, time after time. When I called and placed the order, the girl repeated it to me but it was pretty clear thru the call that she was either doing something else or talking to someone else while she was taking my order. It was really no biggie until we got our order. The order did arrive on time but when we took it upstairs and opened up the bag, I noticed that the mushroom cheesesteak that I ordered was actually a chicken cheesesteak. Normally, I wouldn't have minded nor would have called back but I was realllyyyyyy having a craving for a cheesesteak. I immediately closed up the container and called. The woman who took my call, verified that it was put into the system as a mushroom chicken cheesesteak and asked me to please hold onto it and she would send the correct sandwich out. About 25 minutes later, the correct sandwich showed up. I handed the driver the incorrect sandwich and he told me to keep it and handed me back $1 (I guess for the difference in price or the mess up) I tried to give it back to him but he wouldn't accept. Now to the food ... the mozzarella fries with added bacon were really good and they did give you a decent amount to share. My boyfriend's cheesesteak hoagie was enjoyable for him and when I got my cheesesteak, it was pretty good, too. It wasn't very greasy, had a significant amount of meat, and the bread was very fresh. I wouldn't give it a 5 star for overall taste a quality, more like a 4, however, I am giving a 5 star rating for the customer service. I also have to say, I ate half of the incorrect sandwich for breakfast today (chicken cheesesteak) and it was good. The slices taste different then the actual pies... and my family is obsessed with the slices!!! the chicken cheesesteaks are not made with that frozen meat it's fresh chicken and it's soooo yummy!! For pizza, this wouldn't be my first choice. For cheese steaks and hoagies, it's up there on my list of favorites. Friday night, I ordered a turkey & cheese hoagie with lettuce, sweet peppers, pickles and mayo, a side of macaroni salad and small order of curly cheese fries. I accidentally ate the cheese fries and had to leave the hoagie in the fridge to enjoy later. The hoagie, which was Saturday's lunch, was loaded with turkey and cheese. I had to scoop off the lettuce because it had started to brown, as well as the sweet peppers which had begun to lose their flavor. The pickles however, were delicious! Fishtown pizza delivers their cheese steaks, hoagies and French fries in Styrofoam containers. I have never received a non-pizza order that was banged up or smashed. Moved to NoLibs a few months ago and STILL looking for our go-to pizza place! Tried Fishtown Pizza last night and were not super impressed. Pizza was OK definitely doughy, though they didn't skimp on the toppings and the sauce was good. My roommates wrap was super cheesy some might think that is a good thing but she wasn't too happy with it. The hoagies did look good, and were huge, these got a thumbs up, lots of the toppings requested and stuffed. They really are generous with the portions at least. This pizza sucks but it didn't kill me and it's close to my apartment, that's how I came up with two stars The pizza is definitely "thicker and doughier" as the other review mentioned. I'd call it spongy and I find a lot of pizza in Philadelphia to have it is freaking horrible. Granted I'm from NY originally so my standard might be higher. I got a veggie and plain back in February and I'd have to be in quite the pinch to order from there again. I haven't had their heros, yes heros, not hoagies, again I'm from NY, so I can't speak to their quality or lack thereof. alright this place needs an updated review. I go here pretty often because it's nearby my place and the quality of food is always consistent. It's easily the friendliest of the local pizza haunts that Girard Ave has to offer, and most generous in terms of portions and things like that. The pizza here is Greek-style and the option to order a personal size pie is cheap and great to share with a friend. I really like the breaded chicken breasts that are... most likely not frozen or at least don't taste frozen. Excellent food! Best wings I've had in Philly! I ordered the 12 piece buffalo wings, and it lasted me 3 meals... Huge wings. Their gyro platter is also very good! Comes with fries and coleslaw. We have been getting food delivered from Fishtown Pizza for many years (on average 2x per month) and have enjoyed the food, until recently. My husband usually gets the chicken wings, and LOVES them. Tonight he got the wings again and was happy. About a month ago we ordered pizza THIN AND CRISPY. It was NOT crispy at all, but soggy. And tonight I ordered a BLT with CRISPY bacon, and the bacon was NOT CRISPY at all and looked and tasted like it didn't even touch the heat. I had to put it in the toaster over myself to cook it!
