This was my first visit because I graduated from AC in 1994 and it opened in 98. It's a little confusing at first due to the layout, but once inside, you're in for a great time. As you can read in my other reviews, finding consistently good restaurants in the Sherman/Denison area has been remarkably difficult. But I keep trying, keeping as much away from the chains as I can, really wanting to support local. So when I drove by Cellarman's, I had to look up the menu. It's dubbed an American Pub and the menu is loaded with examples of that. I didn't attend during the weekend, so it wasn't packed like I've read, but the food, the service, the ambiance and the overall experience were better than I've received at most restaurants in this area. All the food was hot, fresh and delicious. The service was very attentive too. At this point, my biggest compliment I can give a Sherman/Denison restaurant is, "I will eat there again." And, believe me, it's been difficult to say that at most restaurants in this area. Cellarman's easily achieved that. read more

I'm only giving 1 star because of the horrible appetizer. The pizza was delicious, I'd give that 5 stars. But whoever serves chewy dry wrinkles up jalapeños and then burned them should be reprimanded. I want my $10 back!!!! read more

What a super cool place!!! Reminds me of a genuine Irish pub. The food menu has a great selection and the drink and beer menu too!! We enjoyed the goat cheese crostini...I enjoyed the sautéed onions, balsamic glaze, honey and of course the goat cheese. I want more goat cheese!!! Haha...my friend and I split the GIGANTIC chicken fried steak. It was the size of the plate. Food was hot, drinks were nice and cold...service was friendly and quick. Bathroom was clean as well. Overall a great place, I would like access to WiFi in order to access the QR code menu easier. But a paper menu was brought out since I couldn't access the QR code, which I would rather a paper menu anyway. We went here Thursday night for dinner. The parking lot was jammed packed which is a good indication of good food and/or drinks. Walk in and seat yourself they do not have a hostess. Shortly after we were seated a waitress came over to welcome us and provide food and drink menus. We had shrimp and chips and fish and chips which were both pretty good! They have plenty of daily drink specials for well and beer drinkers. Next time we're taking a Lyft there so we can both enjoy the drink specials. read more

Service was great, but the place is so noisy, it was hard to enjoy ourselves. The chef salad was good except for the giant chunks of red onions. I asked for the Spud with no bacon. The order I said was repeated back, for a baked potato with no bacon. I wanted a side of chili. No chili with the order On it was a giant piece of bacon along with ton of bacon bits. I wasn't going to complain but this is the second time they did this order. I don't need people messing with my food after I ask for a remake. I've seen people mess with food in the industry after complaints for a remake so it's not a urban myth. It looks like a joke. It's a baked potato. I even got there late to get it. It wasn't rushed to be made. It didn't look that busy for Sunday. I know how this town drinks. This is the second time they messed up this order. It's not funny when somebody doesn't want bacon. I don't understand. I worked in restaurants and went to culinary school. I guess I need to put in a application. The spud. No bacon. No jalapenos. Extra sour cream. That's it. I'll say this review in person. It's a simple order. All I wanted was a simple order. It's not saying I want the Spud but just the potato skin and the fixing with only two jalapenos and five individual pieces of bacon. It takes time to bake a potato. I thought this place would be on point. I lost faith in them and I'll be those anyone people to tell others about how this potato cannot be made by this 500 year old restaurant. Are the workers 500 years old? Am I being petty? It's Sunday, so Have respect to each order like you're cooking for your own family. That was my Motto when I get grease burns in the face from the fryer when I get twenty orders for fries in ten minutes. I drop ice cold fries, because they didn't want to blanch ten buckets of hand cut fries daily, in the fryer and suffer the popping. And if the workers don't like cooking. Get out of the kitchen. It pains me to give this review, but it is long overdue. I have been eating here since they opened their doors. The last 3-4 times we have been here, there have been guests out of control, yelling, pushing, cursing. Three weeks ago we had just ordered our first drink on a Sunday at 5:00. There was a table so loud and pushing one another a guest fell into a nearby table. On another recent occasion, they were playing inappropriate rap music at 6:30 on a Sunday and we witnessed one family leave. Tonight, a group of about 6 came in and we're so loud they disturbed the entire restaurant at 5:00 on a Sunday. We, along with four other guests, asked the bar manager to give them a warning. She replied they were leaving. Then, they were served another round of shots. We will not be back for a very long time, if at all. The quality of food does not outweigh the disruption of peace in dining. read more

Been coming here for years with friends and family, but the last six months has been bad. First it was the service, but tonight we ordered out and the food was not even eatable. All hit the trash. Great beers. Food can be dialed up a notch. Burger despite being ordered medium rare was murdered. Way overdone. Buns were awesome but the lettuce and tomato were not fresh. Guinness cake was dry as hell and not fresh. Onion rings were off the hook. Turkey melt was OK but like the burger ingredients were not fresh enough.
