    The Tiramisu
    Jim R.

Read in a social media site that this place has good tiramisu. The misses loves tiramisu so a road trip was in order. Went on a Saturday night and had reservations- was a couple empty spots but with it being a small place I would probably recommend. Here is what we liked: * The tiramisu- ordered it as our appetizer as we wanted to make sure we had room. As an appetizer it was delicious, seriously as a dessert it is one of the best I've had. Really good. * Our waiter Donavan was a solid good guy. Attentive, sense of humor and made the visit fun. * the Limoncello was absolutely like a lemon meringue pie in a shot glass. Have had many store bought versions that were eh, this is house made an a delight to the taste buds. * We shared a couple small plates that were plenty for serving size. * Chicken Parmesan had a good size chicken patty with a light coating and crisp however let's talk about the angel hair pasta and sauce that comes with it. We literally had to paper, rock, scissors to determine who got to lick the plate clean. * Mushroom Gnocchi small plate was perfect to sample and it had a good amount of mushroom pieces and it looked like it was pan fried. Super good. * Carrot cake also one of our favorites. This however is served warm and they add icing as you order. Game changer Here's what we thought could be better: * Just a little chilly when we arrived. Misses was reluctant to take her jacket off. Thermostat on the wall said 64. By the end of dinner it was fine. Overall this place is now our favorite Italian restaurant and we want to make the hour drive back to try most of the dishes. Good service and great food makes for a definite repeat visit.

Small Italian restaurant right downtown. Was Mother's Day and didn't have a reservation but they had room at the bar. Small issue with daughter's food but was rectified and we LOVED the food! Service was excellent and we'd go back next time we are in the area.

The meatballs were amazing. Their new chief was friendly and made some amazing dinners for our table. Highly suggest the chicken parmesan.

Excellent meals and service. I like the small plates. I had the salmon, others had cheese ravioli, ziti, and Alfredo. All were delicious!

The building itself is very quaint and the decor beautiful, but the food....NO WAY! I didn't think it would be so challenging to get cocktails and pasta right. To start, we waited forever for our drinks. My pomegranate martini tasted like kombucha, and my fiancé's old fashioned had fashionless...no bitters , no flavor. Let's just say...it was a rough start. We started with the calamari, which tasted like it had freezer burn. I ordered a chicken dish with prosciutto and pasta. The entire entrée was just odd. It was severed cold and the chicken was tough. My fiancé had the linguine with seafood and the entire dish was floating in an unidentifiable liquid .....it was so runny! Needless to say, we didn't want to take our left overs home! This was a very disappointing experience. One and done for us!

The cocktails are stunning, the food (whether brunch or dinner) is consistently memorable, and apparently every plate is so beautiful that I feel compelled to photograph it. Beyond the food, the service is always exceptional. The staff strikes that perfect balance of polished and warm, making every visit feel like a special occasion. And then there's the atmosphere. The abundant natural light, thoughtful seasonal décor, and the undeniable gravitas of a beautifully restored former bank create an experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. The Ledger is absolutely worthy of being a destination restaurant for celebrations and milestones. But the biggest compliment I can give it is this: we don't save it only for special occasions. Whenever we're nearby, we make a point to stop because the food, drinks, and experience are just that good and the seasonal specials never stay as long as you'd hope. And of course, the speakeasy downstairs is always the perfect end to the night.

The G.O.A.T., Fat-sar and truffles were all underwhelming for me. Their tomahawk steaks are huge, table next to us got two cut up table side. I am too tired to cook so we explored several new dining options. This being one of them. The weather here is glorious. Gentle breeze, not too humid and about 80°, which is far from the high 90s. I would be experiencing at home. I have been enjoying the mocktails I've been trying so I also ordered one here. It was also watermelon based and very good. We sat out on the patio and after I moved out of the direct sun it was a very comfortable. Taylor was our server and was great -giving us plenty of time and some good suggestions. My nephew, who loves Bavarian style pretzels, ordered that for an appetizer this evening not only was it huge, but it came with three different items to dip it in! Cheese, Jalapeño Cream Cheese, and Cinnamon Butter! Each one had been freshly made and whipped and was very good. The pretzel was as late and fluffy as a Bavarian pretzel could be and was nice and warm so the perfect item for dipping in the above mentioned delicious dips! The nephew ordered Chicken Parmesan and also ordered some Roasted Parmesan crunchy Potatoes as his side, I ordered the Pecan Crusted Chicken Breast over a lovely Green Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette on the side. Both of our entries were delicious and my nephews Parmesan crusted roasted potatoes were also very good. We each admitted we would definitely order them a second time and maybe even a third!! It was very pleasant dining on the patio. Our server Taylor was very attentive and checked on us frequently, ensuring we had everything we needed. This place was very busy, essentially packed and obviously a very popular place for Friday night diners! We could understand why and we would definitely like to come back!!

There is an entrance for just the restaurant which makes it easier to enter. There is also close parking next to it. I had no wait on a Friday evening, which I'm sure isn't common, but I was also there about1 hour 30 minute - 2 hours to closing so it could be why. I was still given great service and a wonderful cooked dish. I ordered a mocktail (virgin spring in wing) that had was supposed to have smashed strawberries. I barely tasted the strawberry (I did not have some in the drink) as the soda water overpowered everything thing else. I probably should have said something, but I didn't. If I order next time I will. There were many great things on the menu, but I opted for the bone in pork chop. While I waited I did ask if they had bread service and they have corn bread. First I was like "hmmmm idk". Once it came to the table I loved it. I usually don't butter my corn bread, but I tried their butter with it and I enjoyed the pairing. It was perfectly cooked well enough how pork should be, but still tender so it wasn't dry. It had this whiskey sweet fruity glaze over it which was delicious. I would have preferred it on the side, but that's just a personal preference. The green beans weren't soggy, they had a slight crisp to them. A great flavor. I opted out of the loaded baked potato and just got a plain with butter , sour cream and chives. Overall for what I ordered I didn't think the price to be too unreasonable. However, this place can get pricy with other things on the menu. Their menu might also change because I seen photos of this place and those items weren't on the menu. I would come here again for a dinner alone, with my spouse and even with friends.
