I have been going to George's since they opened somewhere around ten years ago. This place hands down has the best burgers in the County or even the state. Other places opened up in the last decade and they aren't even playing the same game, there not even on the same playing field. What's even more amazing is that it has stayed so consistently good for ten years. They have even maintained a large portion of the staff from there own launch many years ago. The fries are an excellent mix of crunchy and flavorful. On top of that they are one of the only places to have good keto alternatives, which they have maintained by using ingredients that are already used in pre existing recipes. There side veggies are excellent in there own right too and are a great choice for anyone trying to maintain a healthier lifestyle while eating out. There breakfast omelettes are always an excellent choice as well and there hash browns have also maintained a great crunch. Everything about this place I love. The food is great. The staff is excellent and to keep a restaurant running this well consistently for somewhere around ten years is an achievement, not just in the food industry, but in the spirit of human kind. The egg was cooked to perfection, and the amount of ham and cheese and onions (not the frozen diced ones) and the thin layer of hash browns were perfect and not overwhelming which sometimes takes over the taste of the omelette. It was fast and warm and they plated the pancakes separately; an ideal presentation when you're opposed to mixing ketchup and syrup. Not the worst food, but a lot to be desired. Had the fish and chips priced at $8.99. It came with a cup of soup, vegetable, roll, fish and fries. Fish appeared to be from a frozen box. Fish was extremely over cooked, batter very hard and crunchy. I don't think I would ever order dinner there again. My son had a cheeseburger which looked good. Service was so so. I wanted to update my review from a vegetarian standpoint. Since becoming a vegetarian, I sometimes find it difficult to find good, healthy, vegetarian options at restaurants. I am delighted to have discovered George's spinach and feta omelet! Yum!!! The spinach is fresh and the eggs taste amazing! They are fresh, light and fluffy. This is the best coney type diner in the area. We walked in, say ourselves, and it was busy but, not packed. For an appetizer we had the saganaki. It was great. I thought it was better then Pegasus in Greek town. My husband ordered the turkey, bacon, swiss, wrap and it was huge and good. I ordered the blue cheese harvest salad with Michigan cherries, walnuts, romaine lettuce, crumbled blue cheese, and house dressing which is a raspberry vinaigrette that was wonderful. I added chicken to it. The prices were reasonable. ..especially with the potion size. Plus, as a bonus the waitress Heather I asked her name she was so hospitable and attentive. Our drinks never ran out, food on time, and gave us suggestions that were her favorite since this was our first time. I loved how she joked with the seniors/regulars, knew their name, and helped with anything they needed.
