So I called Spectrum to set up service and they told me that I just have to say that I rent a room and I need a new connection. I told the guy on the phone when I called Spectrum, I want strictly Internet I'm not going to change my phone nor am I going to buy TV. I told him if he kept going on and on I was gonna hang up on him and that's exactly what I did. So I came here in person and told them what I was told, that I would just have to get my own connection And that I would have it set up as I rent a room. She said no you can't make any changes to the account because you're not the account holder. I explained to her that I have nothing to do with my landlord and I would need a new connection. I don't pay his bills he doesn't pay my bills and we are not affiliated. I said that I need a new connection as in a new router. She said she can't do that unless my landlord comes in person with his ID. Screw that. I told her that she should call someone higher than her to verify that this is what I was told and she said she can't do it.
