Sean was very patient with questions and my suggested modifications, and was very quick with responses - both before and during the installation. Price wasn't the lowest, but was far from the highest of the quotes we got, and there was no hard sell (unlike a few others). The crew was quick and very courteous, and did a great job of cleaning up everything before they left. They even asked if they could cut a few inches off of a fence door that had been scraping the ground for ages to ensure it cleared the turf cleanly!

It's rare to find such high-quality work at such a fair price, and it immediately set them apart. Communication was also top-notch. Any questions I had were answered quickly, and they kept me informed every step of the way, which made the whole experience stress-free. As for the installation itself--absolutely flawless. It's obvious that they care more about getting the job done right than getting it done quickly. They spent a couple extra days on our yard because we had extreme gopher damage. They went out of their way to re-sand and retamp the yard to ensure that the turf would remain flat and smooth. If they skipped that step, I could've expected sinking turf within a few months. They care deeply about their clients and do a really good job making themselves available. I can't recommend this business enough. Lastly, I love how much they encourage me to reach back out in the event I have any future issues. I am extremely confident that if I need anything fixed they would be back asap to do so.

We opted for the MSI putting turf with fringe pet turf as we have a dog and maintenance would be easier. They were able to get us quickly scheduled and got it done in just one day. They took care of excavating the original grass, digging out a few inches of dirt, covered it with a weed prevention layer, then filled it in with gravel and leveled it out. Then they were able to install our putting green design we discussed with beautiful curved edges. We had a water drain running underneath already and they were able to connect to it to help with water drainage in case of heavy rain. Overall, we absolutely loved the end result and spend so much more time in our backyard practicing our putts and even short chipping from a nearby mat. With less maintenance and noticeably less bugs we even have movie nights here and the turf has held up well. Worth the money and long term investment as we got more usable space for the family with rates below the average costs in LA.

After having some very bad experiences with contractors during our home remodel, I became extremely cautious about hiring anyone, practically ptsd. Finding someone honest, knowledgeable, and dependable is not easy. From the very first meeting with Sep, I knew I was dealing with someone who actually does this for a living and takes pride in his work. Sep speaks clear English (important very important, native speaker, believe me), took the time to explain every step of the process, answered all of my questions patiently, and made thoughtful suggestions that I hadn't even considered (like leaving the border for example, I wanted to leave but he suggested to remove). At no point did I feel pressured. Instead, I felt educated and confident in the decisions we were making. By the end of our first meeting, I trusted him completely. He even suggested to get more quotes but I did not feel a need to. He absolutely impressed me. He is very PERSONAL and has extremely well disposition. He brought samples the fist estimate meeting! Helped me narrow it down, asked questions I even did not think about. I had tree guys giving me estimates but my daughter after meeting Sep said "no no no comparison Mom, he is the guy, the unicorn tells me he is the guy" During the process the crew encountered the problem that stump from the dead tree was not removed even though I paid the other company to remove it! It was not done! Sep immediately reacted found a company, called them and they came within 2 hours to remove the huge dead stump. Sep's crew did amazing work, hauled everything away, cleaned up the entire area, and then transformed our backyard with beautiful artificial turf. The amount of work they completed was incredible. During the project I was honestly nervous because the yard looked like a construction zone, but they knew exactly what they were doing. The finished result exceeded my expectations. Our backyard looks larger, cleaner, and so much more inviting. It completely transformed the space. What impressed me most was the professionalism, communication, and attention to detail from start to finish. They showed up when they said they would, worked hard, kept me informed, and genuinely cared about the quality of the final result. I told Sep that I would like to do it asap, he understood and scheduled me immediately. I had contractors coming for quote and then disappearing, or even worse, starting the job and disappearing! So I cannot stress it enough that dealing with Sep was absolutely exceptional! Being absolutely new to remodeling process I noticed how contractors take advantage and I clearly see it when they do it, this is not the case with Sep. And I am very grateful for that! After everything we've been through with other contractors, I can honestly say I would never go to anyone else for landscaping or grass work. It is such a relief to finally find someone I can trust. Because I had a poor experience with another turf company years ago, I did a ton of research on which product would be the most ideal for my needs, and this time I found Cocoturf and met it's proprietor, Olivier. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish. I called as a cold lead just after finding the website, explained my needs, and Olivier came out to meet me, see the main project, brought a ton of samples, and made the perfect recommendation for my needs. He's a great guy, I felt that he cared about the product that he sold me, and he's extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of turf. He communicates very clearly, doesn't waste time (I love that), and delivers what he promises. My two jobs were pretty small, but he treated me like I was a $30k customer. That stood out to me. Install day came, and while I had different crews for each project, they did a phenomenal job with the install. Shout out to Jose and Carlos, the foremen for my jobs. Jose even drove an hour, one-way, on his day off, to fix a minor issue that I was too dumb to fix myself. Both our front and backyard were atrocious. After having dinner in West Adams, we noticed a landscaping office next door. We wanted to work with a local business that also worked with local nurseries and decided to get a quote with Green Grounds. They put me in touch with Guillermo, who I think is the boss. He came by and gave us a reasonable quote for the front yard and fencing around the back. I'd say it's definitely not the cheapest quote but i found it reasonable for the amount of work we were going to do. We weren't ready yet for the backyard but wanted to at least get the front done. We ended up getting a quote for: - dry scape front yard - fencing removal and replacement - plants - gravel - lighting - watering drip system - iron reinforced pavers for driveway It was a lot of work and on the hottest day of the year, their crew showed up with about 8 people to get work done quickly. We were shocked at just how quick things were! In addition, Guillermo did a great job communicating with us, suggesting certain plants and designs, etc. We met him at a local nursery to walk through and pick out plants. He is a walking plant encyclopedia. Show him a plant, he knows exactly what it is! He brought us samples of gravel and were able to choose right away what we wanted for our yard. In a short 5 days, our front yard was brand new and our jenky fence was a secure wooden fence with swinging gate to the backyard access. Not only was the quality of work excellent, but the short amount of time it took them was extremely impressive. We really wanted them to return to do our backyard. Again, we got a quote - this time it was going to be more extensive - leveling the backyard - french drain to divert water away from structures - demo and removal of existing weeds and uglies - plants, trees, privacy hedges, gravel - artificial turf - pavers (with artificial turf in between pavers) - Watering drip system - lighting - decking update to accommodate for land removal - fencing update to accommodate for land removal - laying down brick in a small area This was definitely a lot of work. I initially wanted to see if we could get LA County to give us some rebate money but we did not qualify. this delayed us signing up and submitting our deposit for about a month. However, after finally committing to the project and submitting our $1K deposit, unfortunately by that time Green Grounds had a bunch of other projects. They weren't able to get to ours until 2 months later. it was a long wait but ultimately, it was absolutely worth it! Again, the crew came out - this time on the coldest day! 8-10 people for demo, excavation, pavers, plants, etc. It was a massive project and they completed it in 6 days! I am so happy with the result. I am also extremely impressed with Green Grounds - their work quality, ethic, and professionalism. At the end of it, they even cleaned up my front yard and made it look brand new again! Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a some professional landscaping.

We decided to clean up the area so we could host an important family event, and our search led to Gio and his team. He responded quickly, and we discussed what we were looking for in re-purposing the rear 1/3 of our property. He described his vision and methods, and provided a very reasonable quote. We decided to move forward, and we left it up to him to provide and plant what was needed to create a perfect space that was both functional for entertainment and really pleasant to just relax and enjoy. Gio and his team did not disappoint. He met (and exceeded) our expectations, and stuck to the schedule and budget. And he didn't just create planter areas and new lawn, he also installed a paver walkway to match our existing patio stones. When he was finished with the original scope, he offered to maintain the rear yard to make sure our investment (and his hard work) would continue to look as good as the day he finished. He is not a typical "mow-blow-& go" gardening service. When he and his team arrive, they look around, see whatever needs care and attention, make everything right, and leave every inch of the yard neatly trimmed and clean. Guy shows up to my house a full hour early while I'm at work still. He gave me a 2-4pm window and comes at 1pm. 3. I try to find a time to reschedule (there's no emergency here thankfully) and he says it's 1000 dollars plus the repair to come on a Sunday. 4. Says photos will be taken down like in the past. Clearly this isn't the first time. There are a lot of companies to choose from please pick someone else.

This is the second time we've used AAL, and once again, we're very happy with their work. After our first project of ripping out concrete, adding some drought tolerant sod, and building a beautiful redwood fence, we decided to add a custom made treehouse/clubhouse on our retaining wall, to make the most use of our space. We came up with the idea and they really helped us refine it, giving great suggestions for the design and details. It turned out better than we imagined and the kids love it. We didn't pull the trigger with them until a year later. At that point, we had reduced the scope of the project and so they gave us a new estimate that nearly doubled the price. They told us it was because of price increases over the year. But the reality, as we found out, is that they didn't estimate the price well. Elvia didn't fully read the plans. That was a red flag, but we were excited about the yard, and we knew the other estimates, so we went with it. Most of the process of getting the work done was great. They were done sooner than expected. There were still a few issues. One issue was with fruit trees. They were planting one lime and two oranges, even though we asked for a lime, an orange and a lemon. Elvia tried to convince us that lime and lemon were the same, so we didn't need a lemon; we should just stick with two oranges. We had to insist because, obviously, they aren't the same. The other issue was with the turf. We wanted turf that was more pet-friendly. Elvia told us she would show us some samples before they installed the turf. That never happened. The roll they had didn't appear new. It seemed like a leftover from another job. So they just installed it. We let it go because it was nice. Then, during the walk-through, the turf didn't look great at the time, but we were told that it would be fixed by the end of the day. It wasn't. We could see all the jagged seams. It was coming up in parts, and they were light on the infill, so all the turf was lying down. One small section was three different pieces put together with the blades of the turf, all going in different directions. We had asked for stabilized DG, and in the back after it dried out, it was clear that it wasn't installed well. There were patches that were just dirt. To their credit, they came and rectified it. However, the turf is still subpar. I wouldn't recommend them for turf at all. And the DG is not stabilized. It is poorly graded, and water pools around our garage. When we brought that up, Elvia suggested that they put in a French drain. Which, of course, would be an uncharge. Keep in mind that stabilized DG is almost as solid as concrete, and if graded right, water will flow away from structures, which should be the case with all grading. That's why it's done. So they wouldn't fix that. During the first rains, a lot of DG washed away, which is always an issue with DG. But this was way more than I'd expect with stabilized DG. The biggest issue we've had since is with the drip irrigation. We did drought-tolerant plants. When they left, Elvia told us to water for 5 minutes per day. This surprised us. We believed that new plants needed more water in the beginning. But we listened; they are the pros. We have a water monitoring system, and for the first few weeks, that 5 minutes was 9 gallons of water. Then, suddenly, after two weeks, it jumped up to 25 gallons. Now, as you can imagine, 25 gallons of water after five minutes of drip is a lot. They disagreed and said there was no issue. When I asked how many emitters they had and the flow rate so I could calculate how much water we should expect, the installer had no idea. He said I just installed it. He doesn't help with that. Then a fungus started growing in areas of the mulch where clearly a lot of water had been pouring out. Yet, they insisted it was no issue. Then Elvia said to wait one week, no watering, and they would come back. It rained early in the week. But now it has been two weeks, and I've heard nothing from them. My plants need water. Five of the ones they planted less than a month ago are already dead. I've had to go through the system myself to figure out the issue. That's when I found that they didn't even use emitters. They use tubing with the emitters built in. Which in and of itself is not an issue if you space the plants out well enough. The issue is that there is so much tubing and so few plants that large swaths of my yard are being watered and no plants are there. This means that weeds and other non-desirable plants are being watered. And the emitters that are close to the plants aren't close enough. So for us to use the drip irrigation, which we set up to save water, we'll be using twice as much as it needs to because we're watering places with no plants just to water the areas that do have plants. It should have had emitters directed at the plants. But they weren't. Now I have to call someone else in to make this drip irrigation truly water-efficient or do it myself because Supergreen has ghosted me. Raul, the owner, will never respond to you. I believe that is mentioned in other comments. So don't even attempt to contact him with issues. My recommendation is to find another company. We wasted $20,000.

She responded to my calls/texts quickly and came a few times to meet with me before work started. The main team that worked on my yard was Elio, Santos and Ricardo. They were here every weekday morning around 7am & was proactive in listening to my directions & following up if they had questions. Overall I was happy with the work they did. My front yard had drought tolerant plants & the back has plants & artificial grass. They also installed the automatic drip system & build my gazebo kit. There were a few days they didn't come because of another job which pushed completion by a week. It was stressful as I was leaving out of town and hoped to enjoy the yard before I left. I think for the reasonable price they charged, they did a good job.

They had to break up hard, compacted dirt to install turf, repair an area of DG and put in a new border all the way around, remove sprinklers and check the drip system. When I looked the next day during daylight, I realized there were a few minor issues. I contacted him and he immediately came back to fix them. They did a great job and were professional throughout!
