I trusted them to work on my 71 Chevelle. Transmission leak and radiator issue. They couldn't find a replacement radiator so I purchased one. The transmission they should have never touched; even they have a sign up that states they work on them they have very limited experience. Luis is nice but the technicians he employs are inexperienced. At the end all I heard was I should take the transmission to a transmission shop even though I paid for a "repair" and my car was too customized so they couldn't really work on it. Originally took my truck there asking for a full diagnostic had a couple issues fixed and still got charged the fee for that when normally the fee is waved when you fix the issue I asked for my hoses and belts to be checked during the two week service they had my truck nothing was checked I paid 2200 for a radiator and and replacement of the shift solenoid when my radiator never had a leak nor did my truck over heat prior to taking it here after leaving my truck started making a loud noise sounded like a belt issue I immediately called the owner and told him he said to bring it back so I had to take off another day off work to come back down here when I live in Bloomington for him to say another 200 dollars to replace it when I asked for all the belts ands hoses to originally be replaced prior to leaving I would not do business here this is highway robbery and dishonest business there's no way I should be responsible for someone's negligence during the time they were supposed to fix my trucks issues I asked stated several times the stuff I wanted fixed only to end up now with more issues and wanting me to dish out more money don't waste ur time here unless you like to be overly charged and not have your vehicle serviced properly a true honest mechanic would know he should fix the issue that he caused by his negligence especially after receiving so much money for work that wasn't done correctly read more

I'll start with the positive. Luis is a very friendly gentleman and the work performed met my expectations. However, I did not receive calls confirming the work was done. As a result, my car was there for over a week longer than it should have been. Despite the contention that calls were made, cell phones don't lie and track every incoming call answered or not. In addition, my final bill was an additional 50% higher ($740) than what I was quoted ($530) with no explanation as to why. I would suggest getting a quote in writing detailing the cost and the time expected for completion. I will say that part of the delay was blamed on not getting a part in a timely manner. But, this does not excuse the lack of communication. They are a good shop, just make sure that you get details in writing. read more

My husband brings the truck to Luis for service. The last time we were here they were suppose to change a spark pluge# 3 but a different one was change not the one they were suppose to change. The engine light kept coming out. We took it in twice and nothing was done and they still charges so much for this job. My husband trusted them with his truck. So my husband when in and talked to Luis about the situation. You would think that as a owner of a business you would do anything to keep your customer happy but he didn't.He did not say anything to my husband or tried to repair the situation. They fixed my fuel pump and my car broke down again months later. It was the fuel pump again but they fixed it for free since it was under warranty. Of course they may not be the cheapest in town, but quality, honesty and integrity does come with a price, but we've still always found them to be competitive. Most important to us is the extensive knowledge of problem solving to diagnosis most any repair issue a vehicle might encounter. The shop is clean, professional with a friendly staff and have large customer base built on repeat clients. Frankly, I'm puzzled by some of the negative reviews posted as Ed and Luis are always upfront about what they are going to do and the related costs prior to work being performed. Sure there are times they discover additional parts that require repair, but that's their expertise to make sure vehicles are road safe and that no further damage/wear is caused which might create a more costly problem further down the road. Well this is my first time getting a Smog Test done on my vehicle and I'm actually glad I came to this location that is down the road from my house. The customer service is outstanding. I haven't got the gentleman's name yet but he is about 35-40years of age. Well the smog test only took about 20 minutes and with labor fee everything came out to about 60.00 with the certificate being sent directly to the DMV and yourself having a copy in your email and mail as well. I'm very happy with the checkup and work they did on my car. I hadn't had my car looked at in about 3 years (apart from oil changes, etc.), so I brought in my baby expecting the worst. They looked her over and listed out the work that could be done. Nothing major was needed, just a new car battery, some filters changed, wheel alignment, etc. They described the work they were gonna do and how much each cost (no surprises!). Bate and switch. Robert took car in just to have ignition cylinder replaced and new key programmed. Estimate went from "I'll perform the job for you at the best rate possible" probably about $500 for ignition cylinder and labor then ordering the entire ignition assembly which of course cost twice as much. The estimate went then went from $1200 to $1700. Neither of the estimates were signed but Luis claims verbal okay was given for both estimates and "I record phone conversations." I think recording is illegal in CA but even so he wouldn't share the recordings when asked. Held Robert's car hostage until he paid $1200 for the up-sell in parts. Has a AAA certification displayed but not sure that really means anything for consumer protection. Checking with AAA now. Watch out for this business. Takes advantage of people. My update to Owner's response- Despite a very detailed justification cum sales spun response to my earlier review, the bottom line is you will be fed the jargon and get ripped off, find out at your own expense. The car is 14 yrs old and has 200k miles on it, it was stalled on the road and was towed to their shop, what can you do under the circumstances except agree to all that they come up with. Yeah sure, it needs an OEM part costing $485, except it available for $285 at this link (the remanufactured part is only $91) http://www.carpartswareh... The car is functional again but there is no guarantee that it will not require another vaunted OEM part, using this OEM replacement philosophy the car would end up costing 4 times its value. The part can literally be swapped out by loosening four screws next to the air filter chamber for which the labor was $85 besides the diagnostics of $120, even dealerships waive the diagnostics charge if you get the work done there, talk about a stealership. The car belongs to my son who works at a pizza chain and tries to pay his way through college. I offered them an opportunity to redress our dissatisfaction at the overcharging not by undermining the integrity of review process, I was not about to retract what I had said before but add that in the interest of customer satisfaction they compensate through a store coupon, but since they decided not to, they can keep the money, we will keep our business and our good will. You find out for yourself. Luis is the best! i took my car to the Acura dealership & they kept it for 3 weeks & couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I took it to another mechanic & it still gave me problems. I finally gave up & took it to center cities automotive & they figured it out in less than 2 days. They are super straight & don't "add extra repairs" like most mechanics do. They explain everything in full detail and are really professional and nice. I will definitely go back if I ever need anything done to my car. ladies beware took my truck in because one of my water hoses bursted, this guy louise was so nice and charming asked him to run my truck through the computer charged me like $95 and asked if he could fix my truck he did not all he did was change some hoses and he charged me $!,520.98 for water hoses really who does that, people bring their car to you trusting you are going to do the right thing all you do is rip people off, you're lucky i did not sue your ass, just dont have the time to waste on that, but dont forget karma is a bitch! ladies dont let this jokester rip you off like he did me. read more
