I purchased my first Specialized road bike from John and Dave in 2015 to do the Seattle to Portland ride. These guys have a great selection, super friendly and honest. I only take my bikes here for tune ups and with the amount of times I ride, it's usually just once a year. This year I'm doing STP again, and recently purchased a bike online as availability is scarce in stores due to supply chain, etc. Took the bike to center Cycle to get it built. Sure enough, Dave the owner was there and usually is. He made me feel great about the bike I purchased even though I didn't get it from them. These guys had my bike ready in less than 2 hours. You won't be sorry by going to Center Cycle in Renton.

I've been frequenting this shop for a few years now. The owner Dave is always there and will always make sure you are well taken care of. You will not find a larger selection of bikes in stock, which is really nice! Most importantly, this is an LBS that is owned and operated by an outstanding member of the community.

We're back again to Center Cycle, after looking online we found that I am in need of a helmet and some more information; one can only learn so much from YouTube. Looking through the helmet section one is met with a mass difficulty of: choice, style, and protection. After trying on helmet after helmet I was torn between two Specialized helmets and decided to go with a more simple style as opposed to one that was more glossy. This ultimately was the Specialized Align Helmet (with MIPS technology)-which stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System. Essentially this helps in a crash so when your head hits the ground and your head begins to shear or move to one side, it helps limit the blow. An added feature with this is the option to add ANGI, which is an added safety feature for those who bike alone or out in the back country to let loved ones know they've hit their head and need help (providing a set of coordinates and distance traveled if enabled by the user). Happy with my decision with some assistance from Jacob as well as my Dad, I felt confident in my purchase selection (as most helmets are good for three years). While at the store, my Dad got the bike of his dreams a 2020 Specialized Roll Elite Limited (with a PNW twist), with style and eye catching detail he was sold. As one could probably tell I may have a little bit of the "newbie" itch, in terms of bicycle riding. Perhaps I may come back here to get some apparel. I am happy to promote this business and have increased my rating to five stars-keep up the great work Center Cycle and you'll continue to receive 5 stars from me.

Sticker price shows $130. Receipt shows $150...makes sense.

Should have known better giving this place a chance again but they were the only place with the saddle I needed for an evening ride in stock as my other bike was in the shop. Photo shows sticker price and receipt price do not align. Again, awkward vibe and oddly uncomfortable sales associates to interact with. The sales associate actually recommended a women's saddle which I thought about getting, just a bit pricey...but when he said it's designed for "soft tissue" he gave me a weird look and said "whatever that means for women"...

Best and largest bike shop in Seattle! Staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, helpful and easy to work with! I got my bike here a year ago and just ordered and picked up a bike rack today! They even assembled and installed the hitch rack for me! check this place out and you will not be disappointed!

This Giant Sedona ST bike from Center Cycle is so comfortable, you'll want to ride all day long!

Her bike arrived unassembled and I needed to try to get this Put together as quickly as possible. She was very accommodating and told me to bring the bike in and they would get it taken care of for me. Drove in on my lunch hour and Kim got me in right away. She went to work on the bike herself and was able to get everything taken care of in under an hour. Outstanding and amazing service and very friendly and easy to deal with. The salesperson was finishing up with another customer. I was then promptly ignored as other customers walked in the door and he started talking to them (despite the fact that I was standing right in front of the salesperson). I was actually interested in getting a new floor pump. I was waiting for the sales guy to stop even for just as second to say, "are you doing okay?", but nope. I guess I didn't rate for whatever reason. Perceived fitness level, income....? I checked out the floor pumps. They didn't seem to be particularly well made, although the Dual Charger gets good reviews online. No reaction from the sales person as he dealt with other people and ignored me. I heard guys in the back, service area, talking, talking, talking. Did the one sales guy holler to the back and get someone to come out since he apparently can only deal with one customer at a time? Nope. I started to make my way out but stopped to look at the shoes that had clearance signage, but couldn't actually get at them because they were blocked by multiples bikes still in boxes shoved up against the shoe display. One more chance for anyone in the store to try to sell me something. I didn't even get a "thanks for stopping in". This is a real shame. A Trek was the first "real" bike I bought with my own money as a teenager. I have fond memories of Trek. I'm just getting back into cycling again. I actually have money to spend at this stage of my life. The single most important thing you can do in retail is acknowledge and greet the customer. And as the saying goes, you only have one chance to make a first impression. I bought a pump elsewhere, as well as some jerseys and shorts. (Full disclosure: if I seem a little harsh, I worked in bicycle and outdoor retail for 10 years, as a tech, service manager and store manager. I used to be quite passionate about cycling, hence I have opinions.)
