The suck factor was off the charts my first few sessions, I was on the edge of rage quitting more than once, but I stuck with it out of sheer bloodymindedness and glad I did. Chris and all his coaches are next level. They remember all of their clients' progress and difficulties and work with us to keep us safe while still challenging us. They circulate during sessions, pointing out where we're doing great and where (and more importantly, HOW) we can improve. They're incredibly supportive and understanding. The equipment and facilities are maintained in top condition. I've yet to see anything broken or dirty. I wish they had a changing/locker room, but it's a small place so I can see why they don't. Bottom line: if you're looking a great group workout experience, GO TO BFT.

He raved how good Allan was and how he's used him for over a year with amazing results. Dude used words like body transformation. I've only been going to Allan for a few months now, and I'm extremely pleased too. Every training session with him leaves me a little sore a day or two later in the best possible way. Add to that, I am getting stronger. Clothes are fitting better and my wife likes the "stud factor" in my fitness and muscle mass. They make it extremely difficult to cancel memberships, they hardly ever have anyone working at the gym, so any questions are not answered. When trying to discuss options on cancellation or turning off auto renewal they claim to not be able to help. They become defensive and abrasive, my wife and I have been trying to contact their billing department for months on end. No responses. Literally feels like an absolute scam. Do not go to this gym! It's expensive, zero customer service and honestly not enough equipment. They don't deserve your hard earned money. Take the cheaper option of EŌS if you need 24/7 gyms. Take Mountainside if you're looking for better quality, and good customer service. Absolutely ridiculous and frustrating to have to give so much money to this horrible company.

I went in weighing about 148 (I'm 5'9'')... and, I lost 18 pounds in about two months. (Keep in mind, I did absolutely NO working out on my own... So the results are ALL thanks to Kevin). I also built arm and stomach muscle I'd never seen on myself before. On top of that, I changed my eating habits based on Kevin's recommendation... and I will be a Paleo 'dieter' for life. Turns out, grains were the root of my stomach problems... I am a person who absolutely hates working out. I won't go to the gym on my own. But Kevin keeps your sessions to about 30 minutes... and he varies the exercises to keep things interesting. Kettle bells are awesome. I feel like those give you the biggest results for the least amount of work. He also incorporates barbells, sledge hammers/tires (my fave!), etc. Kevin also offers bootcamp classes on top of your one-on-one sessions. I have not tried one of these, but it's certainly a nice bonus for anybody who wants to squeeze in an extra workout. I've worked with a Lifetime fitness trainer in the past, and let me tell you... they don't even compare to Kevin. Plus, they're at least twice as expensive. I highly recommend giving Body Focus Fitness a try. I'm a changed person because of this place!!!

But dude... this is the best workout in Phoenix, and definetly the best I have ever done for myself. The workout is different every day. Your trainer will create exercises for you to complete that will target groups of muscles to work together rather than just one repetitive gym machine motion. You will use different kinds of props to keep you distracted from the task at hand, such as dumbbells, kettlebells, ropes, tires, sledgehammers, pull up bars, and your own pathetic, grunting ass. Is it difficult? Absolutely! It will kick your ass from start to finish! But it's over faster than you think, and the combination of strength training + cardio keeps your metabolism humming for hours. A 20 year old groin injury had reduced my center splits mobility from over 180 degrees to about 95 degrees with pain and extreme tightness in my right adductor. Over the years I tried PT, dry needling, scraping, daily stretching, fascia blasting, massage, rest & ice, fascial stretch therapy etc with little to no lasting gains and a couple re-injuries. I was completely discouraged and had accepted my fate when Skye was recommended to me. Big claims were made and I didn't honestly buy that she could fix what I believed was irreparable internal scar tissue. She would do a muscle test and say "see how much stronger you are on this side?" And I would reply, "it feels like you're just pushing harder." She gave me crazy homework that solidified my view the whole practice was kooky. However, I had purchased a 3-pack of sessions and promised myself I would do what she told me to the letter to see if it made a difference. At the beginning of my 2nd session I was discouraged and mentioned it was probably just scar tissue anyway. She challenged me and said, "Ok, maybe it's scar tissue. But if it is, WHY is your brain still protecting your adductor with scar tissue? Your body should have absorbed most of that years ago. We have to figure out how and why your compensating and protecting and fix your brain." Well that's clearly a paraphrase, but you get the drift. I felt like an idiot doing what she told me to do and I won't even try to explain the methods to her madness. I will say this: the woman knows her anatomy and was able to accurately predict what motions would give me SUDDEN and DRAMATIC flexibility improvements. This started happening in my second session and I was legitimately stammering. Not only did it give immense relief to my adductor she instantly fixed shoulder pain that i thought was a rotator cuff injury. After 5 total sessions, minimal homework (a couple minutes a day), and NO STRETCHING I had regained about 90% of my previous teenage mobility. These were instantaneous, painless gains that I maintained through my "homework." At that point Skye recommended a wonderful woman named Cyndi who is some kind of scar whisperer. A couple of sessions with her and I'm now back to 100% mobility with no pain or tightness. I've since sent several friends and family members to see Skye and Cyndi regarding old debilitating injuries and they have been just as amazed with their results. I have never had such a perspective shifting experience and I now recommend my "voodoo doctor" wholeheartedly. If you have an old injury or chronic pain that should have resolved a long time ago - go see her!! It's life changing!
