Found this place on yelp after searching for a good hamburger to eat at and stumbled across this little hidden gem. It happened to be St. Patty's day and they were having a little special with music, green beer, raffles and of course you can't go wrong with the surrounding food. We got several of the 32oz Heffenwizer beer which was dark green and delish especially on such a nice day like it was. The service was great and everyone there were very friendly. They had bean toss outside to play as well as beer pong. We ended up winning several times at the raffles that included a few cups and some gift cards to Dos Chinos and a gift card to Center Hub that we were not allowed to use on the same day and have to use it on our next visit which only makes us want to go back. There is a good size parking lot with plenty of parking and for a Sunday and for St. Patty's day, it wasn't crowded at all. I would definitely be coming back here every time I'm in Irvine. read more

I am SO glad this plaza opened up close to where I live because it's seriously so boring around here. Like so so boring. I visited the food hall during the soft opening and came again tonight after they had their grand opening. So glad I did! I'll write another review for the food we ordered but the bar deserves a 5-star mention of its own. Our bartender was a young head, maybe mid-to-late-20's, I think his name was Daniel but I was also drunk sooo not sure. But he was awesome. I ordered 2 whisky on the rocks and there's something about their ice that makes it suuuuper smooth and silky (idk, witchcraft or something). My boyfriend ordered 2 old fashioneds as well and they had the same smooth texture. Must be witchcraft. The food here is just a bonus but seriously, do yourself a favor and chill at this bar. We saw him make drinks for other patrons too and everything was done meticulously and with so much attention to detail (in spite of me chatting his ear off). [Update: 2017-0615] Just noticed Jaime's response. Didn't see a notification about it, so that's odd. I appreciate getting a response, so we will give Center Hub another try at some point and will update my review accordingly. [Original Review] I went one time and their service started out good, but when I wanted to get another drink, a group of us were ignored by two staff who were not doing anything but taking to a rich looking bro with a gold watch. Today, we didn't even get drinks, but my two year old daughter climbed up into one of the many open stools around the bar. Female bartender was immediately pretty rude about her not sitting at the bar or even being in the bar area (but those dogs...they're just fine...::eyeroll::) It's as if she thought we either put her there on purpose, or were expecting her to be served? My daughter did that the last time we were there and the staff that day didn't care, and even chatted with her (as much as a two year old can converse with a bartender). Should my daughter have climbed up there? Meh. Probably not. Should today's staff have been a-holes about it? Certainly not. TL;DR: Customer Service is bad. read more

My boyfriend and I always stop by this place before we grab ramen next door. They have all day happy hour on the weekend and we always take advantage of that. Our fav is their $15 mega mojito or $1 draft beer. The bartenders are always quick and entertaining. Today we got a mega mule instead of a mojito, and the bartender let us keep both, which I thought was super nice. This is such a cool spot! It's the bar for Trade Food Court. It seemed like they had some good beers, but I didn't look too closely because I knew I immediately wanted the Ginger Snap, a scotch cocktail. It was delicious! Not too spicy or gingery, it was just the right amount of sweet. It came with a higher candy. I had two. My friend had something close to a whiskey sour and she loved it. We were there earlier this week. Nice selection of on-tap craft beers and fairly good wine selection. Very friendly and accommodating owner/manager on site. We took our chicken from Two Birds there, ordered beer and wine. Had a very pleasant, tasty afternoon. It's a bit of a drive for us, but it turned out to be worth the trip. We want to go back to try others of their craft beers, but I think my wife found a keeper in the wine the manager suggested for her. read more

I'm one of those people who are really indecisive about drink orders. I asked one of the bartenders, Amy, if she could make a whiskey sour type drink but a little sweet with a fruit. She told me about al their fresh fruit options and I chose strawberry. She made a strawberry whiskey sour that was to die for! My new favorite drink. There are small stalls within the vicinity for you to grab some food and a large seating area in the center. Off to the side, you'll find Center Hub. It's a super nice space. A very open air concept that brings in a lot of sunlight and breeziness to the place. You can sit at the bar and watch games on the tv or on the islands and people watch. It's very relax and chill. Not that big of a space. I've seen people work and grab a drink here. They offer some interesting, cute, not so bad cocktails, although I would prefer mine a little stronger.
