    Breakfast humor

The food here is very good. Every time I come it never fails. The waitresses here are always on top of things never leaving you waiting for service. This time around I got the homemade corn beef hash delicious!!! No waiting long and food comes out fresh and hot mmmmmmm! This establishment is small but it feels like home. The atmosphere is like being at a family member's house. I will be a regular enjoy this place very much.

Such a cute little spot. The decor inside is very homey and classically American. Actually the whole establishment screams American breakfast nook and I love that. They were fairly busy when we went. We were seated promptly and served soon after. The portions are very good, and filling. The food was very good too! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, the powdered sugar on top was great. The star of the show was definitely the home fries though. They were legit cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. My boyfriend had the corn beef hash and he quite enjoyed it! Could only split the bill 2 ways which I can see being a problem for bigger parties...but great spot, little pricy. Great great will come again.

To start, my rating is purely on the eggs benedict hash special my husband got me via take out this morning. I didn't have any other dishes and was not there in person to comment on the service. I AM willing to try it again in hopes that I will be happier with other items. In regards to my actual food, I was not impressed. While the price is reasonable, I wasn't a fan of the hash (a bit bland for my personal taste) and found the hollandaise sauce to be very watery. The eggs were cooked well, though, and the potatoes were pretty average (I've had better, I've had worse). Again, I hope to have a better experience next time

This is a great spot! Great little hole in the wall breakfast spot right in the center of town! Good food & coffee!! The menu was not extremely overwhelming but had just enough options for everyone! My husband had the hearty breakfast (2 thick slices of French toast, 2 slices of bacon , 2 eggs, and potatoes)with an extra side of bacon. He had his potatoes cooked a little well done due to his preferences, he got his eggs over medium and they were cooked to perfection. The French toast was thick and was very tasty only downside was that they did not provide fresh syrup they provided packets of syrup. I had the vanilla yogurt with fruit and granola. The fruit was very fresh and the yogurt was cold! I also had a side of scrambled eggs which were fluffy and cooked perfectly. The service was fast and professional. Our waitress was sweet and on top of everything. The restaurant is clean and appealing. There is just enough seating and even a bar style seating area. You can see your food being cooked right in front of you! Such a great place to go on a weekend with your significant other, family or on your own!

We love breakfast and even though we have several favorites that we frequent, from time to time we'll branch out and look for something new. We were planning to do some Sunday morning shopping in Wallingford, so we took to Yelp to find a breakfast spot. Yelp brought us to Center Street Luncheonette, and we weren't disappointed! We have been twice now, and it's already in our top 3 for breakfast spots. When you walk in, it's warm and cozy. Cute decorations, friendly staff. A wide selection of standard breakfast items and some specials. It was clinched for me when the homemade corned beef hash was actually good! Fresh corned beef, good ratio of meat to potatoes. And they can handle cooking that, and bacon, extra crispy as we ordered it! It's sort of amazing how so many places have a hard time with that. We've tried blueberry pancakes (well, pancake, singular...one very large, very filling blueberry pancake!!), breakfast sandwiches, french toast special, pumpkin muffin, corned beef hash, and bacon. Everything was tasty and fresh. I can't wait to try more of the items on the menu!! Whenever we're in the area for breakfast, we will definitely be going back to Center Street Luncheonette!!

Decided to try a new breakfast spot and so please we did! Great environment. It feels like you are just having a big family breakfast. The ladies behind the counter are a well-oiled machine and consistently Interacting with customers. Had the spicy sausage queen omelette special this morning. Everything was well cooked and flavorful. Coffee never ran out which is a breakfast spot must. Will be back!

Mediterranean omlette with roasted peppers and well done home Fries. Yum!! Absolutely ridiculous how good this is

Craving a beef on weck, all suggested Vinny's Deli in Wallingford Ct…read more A Beef on Weck is a sandwich consisting of thinly sliced, rare roast beef, some horseradish sauce, a little au jus, served on a warmed and toasted bun, topped with caraway seeds amongst other spices. This is a sandwich that originated in Buffalo, New York, that I had the honor of eating on a regular basis when I worked in Buffalo. When this sandwich is prepared correctly, not too many types of sandwiches can top this. So expectations were high going to Vinny's Deli. And there it was on the menu, the all nighter # 54, in its glory, the beef on weck. The order was placed for two of them, as my friend Rick joined me for lunch. He never had one and was really looking forward to what he exactly was getting into. I also ordered storemade potato salad, and one of those famous oatmeal raisin cookies. I also had a lime ricky soda, and my friend had a root beer. These sodas were specially made for Vinny's and were presented so well. The total for this order of two sandwiches potato salad cookie and two sodas came to $38. I left a 15% tip. The food arrived, and let me tell you this beef on weck was simply amazing. Warm sliced roast beef that just melted in my mouth and pulled apart so easy, accompanied by just the right amount of horseradish sauce, on a slightly toasted and warmed bun. This was perfection. This was love. The potato salad which was store made also was delicious, and I liked it because it didn't have onions in it. This was on point. The two made for a store sodas were absolutely delicious. I loved that lime ricky, as it was a great choice. Now for the co-star... you must get the oatmeal raisin cookie for dessert. This was probably the best cookie of this nature I've ever had; so soft, so delicious, so made with love. Located on Center Street in Wallingford, Vinny's is easy to find, and parking is a breeze Seating is extremely limited. I think there were only four or five tables in there. Most were in there just to get the food and run, also known as takeout. This is a can't miss for sandwiches. I saw they had extensive other choices, but come for the star, the roast beef. I really enjoyed my visit here, it was local, the vibe was really cool and friendly, and the place was really clean. I noticed an ice cream store attached, which looked very inviting. I think I would stop there after having lunch here next time. Thanks to Vinny's, I really enjoyed my visit and I look forward to returning again in the near future. A few of my foodie friends put me on game regarding this place that's about a 25-minute drive for me, but always so worth it. Here's why I love it so much! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set in the center of Wallingford a little off of the main drag of Center Street is this humble gem. You can park on the street for free if there's space or in the plaza parking lot right up the block from them. Once in the door you're welcomed by several smiling faces and that makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE! This place is predominately made for takeout. There are no physical tables, but you certainly can pop a squat on the benches near the back of the restaurant if you'd like. Service: There isn't necessarily table service since all you do is order at the counter and wait until your name is called, but the people there are so sweet, soft and will just make your day! They're also full of personality and their social media posts are super funny. Lol. Food: I've had several things from their menu here including the Backyard BBQ Sandwich, Savannah Wrap, Vegan BBQ Mac & Jack Bowl, The Hungry Slope, BCB, Roast Beef and more! These are some of the highest quality, made-with-love sandwiches, tastiest, creative sandwiches around! I just love how every several months they change the menu up introducing new flavors for the season so you never know what you're gonna get! Of course the favorites stay on the menu! Value: These sandwiches aren't cheap, but you have to pay for quality. Expect to spend between $11.00 and $15.00 here for a good meal. Then add on whatever else for drinks or sides, but it's worth it. In conclusion, I love this place, I just wish they were closer AND that they were opened on weekends, but they keep the hours tight to allow their employees to have lives. I give them even more respect for that! Check this place out soon!

I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.
