This hotel should be burned to the ground and replaced with a campsite and a 24 hour bowling alley; either of which would provide a better night's rest. Sticky, smells like bug spray, and there is no elevator. The lighting was horrible, probably to mask the dirt, but you know it's dirty because you can feel yourself sticking to things. The smell in particular was a problem, and made me wonder what type of cancer this place would give me. It permeated everything, I even dreamed of working at a toxic waste facility. In fairness this was the cheapest room available within 50 miles after 9PM, but it was still $125, and it was absolutely horrible. I have never said good things about this part of NY, and I would suspect some level of corruption for these high prices and poor sanity standards.

A note - if you have never stayed in a Microtel, these rooms are very small and will really only comfortably sleep 2 people who don't mind sleeping in the same bed, and POSSIBLY a small child (like under age 5). Otherwise, look elsewhere - you will be very uncomfortable. It's just the concept of the hotel line. Each room has a queen bed and a single window-seat type bed that will not really fit an adult. Everything was as it should be - clean room/bathroom, free WiFi, decent TV options. This property is quite close to the highway so there is some freeway noise but it didn't bother us. It is plopped between two residential areas and feels safe. There was free breakfast in the morning but we did not partake, as we were more interested in finding a Tim Horton's nearby :o) Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Met our needs just fine, and at $50 I'm not sure you could find much better.

An OK choice to stay for the night. Beats sleeping in the car. Many hotels in the Niagara and Buffalo area were booked with flyers who were delayed due to Hurricane Irene. Apparantly a top rated hotel in Tonawanda according to TripAdvisor.

The mattress I slept on was stiff, not good for more than a night or two. The smoke detector was missing from my room, just the capped wires hanging. The bathroom shower never fully turned off and the room coffee maker wasn't cleaned out (found cobwebs and the former pod in it). The room itself needed care, and has largely gone un-updated since the 90s. And the "included breakfast" is two cereal options, instant oatmeal, and prepackaged pastries. There was a $50 room security deposit which is paid via cash or card and is refunded after the room is inspected on your last visit. However it wasn't initially made clear to me that's what it was and I needed clarification from another desk clerk. I think for myself I would pay a bit more per night and stay somewhere else.

I had to sleep with open window since the air condition did not help at all. My bathroom sink was broke off the wall and heal up with a piece of 2x4. The food was good. However, they did not replenish the food quickly at all and seemed a bit out of sorts. I had a romaine leaf in a champagne flute with some very good Caesar dressing for a salad. A Nice beef carving station. Pasta that I could not eat as it wasnt gluten free but they did have things marked very nicely.Gluten free which I really appreciate. There is no potato or vegetable offering. So I just had a lettuce leaf and 2 thin slices of beef (ebough for a slider sammie), a small scoop of goat cheese topped with some beets which was super yummy but no crackers or anything with it. Andd could not eat the dessert. The bartenders were super nice and took very good care of us. I would say go and try it and ask about where to park if u plan on a med sized event. And make sure there is enough food and ask about dietary restrictions.

The space is set up and decorated beautifully! So many different spots to take pictures or just hang out. And then the actual banquet area was very spacious and looked very elegant with the string lights, tablecloths and cloth napkins. Everyone who walked in couldn't believe how great the space was. The food was also fantastic! We just had a regular dinner buffet with baked chicken, roast beef and sides, but everything was very tasty! The star of the meal was the chef selection of mini desserts! Everyone raved about it and everything was absolutely delicious! I could have eaten those lemon bars all weekend. The thing that put everything over the top was the courtyard. Everyone did not see it as soon as they came in but once they did venture outside, no one wanted to come back in. Good thing the program part of the banquet was already over. We took wonderful pictures. The fire pit was lit, and everyone just wanted to stay for as long as possible. I only wish we could have stayed past 10. The only downside was the A/V. But i think if you are bringing your own speakers and things, it would be fine. All in all, I would absolutely, unquestionably refer this space to anyone looking to have an event. We had around 120 people, and we were in the larger room, but even the smaller room looked great when I peeked in.

The breakfast was your standard options - waffle maker, cold food items, oatmeal, eggs, bacon and coffee area. The biggest issue I had was 1) they need to do better job of cleaning, especially in the bathroom. Found lot of pieces of long hair that I ended up removing myself using the wipes that were in the room and 2) the mini fridge was iceberg that's been growing lol. It was melting and the water was gathering around the base of the fridge. Overall, enjoyed the stay, comfortable bed, which is important.

Probably one of the worst Marriott Fairfield Inn I have ever stayed…read more Let's list them: 1) slow check-in 2) security lock in room is sawed off 3) no "do not disturb" sign. Today when we asked for towels, instead of knocking, they just used the key and opened the door and let themselves in. Good thing I wasn't naked or doing the nastys. Since the security door is sawed off, there is no way of stopping any one from coming into our room at night while we are asleep. 4) they asked how many travelers when I booked the room, yet they gave us two sets of towels instead of 3 sets 5) dirty. Stains here stains there 6) gym: most disgusting gym I've seen for a Marriott or Fairfield Inn. The photos are self explanatory, it's bad. It's set at 82 degrees, nothing is wiped, mopped, cleaned or refilled. It's a hotbed for nasty germs and diseases. 7) Pool, my kid was very excited about the pool until we went to see it, even with the door closed, from the outside, our eyes started to sting from the strong odor oozing out of the pool room. The water looked thick, reeks of strong chemicals. The pool is only short of having bubbles coming out it like the tar swamps of the Jurassic era. 8) lack of staffs, from evening time to night time, no one is at the front desk, they see you when they see you. Just stand there and wait, not even a bell to ring. The only reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1 is because the staffs were nice. If I wasn't a gold elite Marriott member, this hotel would make me never want to stay at any Marriott hotels.
