Let me start by saying my first visit with this doctor was amazing…read more However all interactions after this were not with the doctor and instead with office staff. --- I had to contact the office multiple times for lab and x ray results but dismissed this as a fluke --- For my follow up visit, where I needed to talk about my medication management and current pain levels I was denied access to care due to my need for ADA parking which was limited due to construction and damage in the parking garage. I tried for two weeks to make a complaint to corporate and they have not returned any of my calls to ensure that I have what is needed medically for my care. They couldn't even pretend to resolve it by saying if I pay this unfair fee I can be seen right away ---- I arrived 20 minutes early but was unable to locate handicap-accessible parking to fit my vehicle due to construction and blocked spaces in the nearby garages. While searching for parking, I called the office around 10:00 a.m. to inform them of my situation and ask whether I could still be seen by being worked in or did they want me to reschedule. I was transferred between three different call center representatives before finally connecting with someone. I have attached a photo I took today because I had to return to this same building to see another provider. The spots are still blocked off and not van accessible to allow for access for a person in a wheelchair like my son. By the time I found a parking spot at 10:20 am, I was told not to come in by the call center staff and that I would be charged a no-show fee, despite being on the phone with their call center for over 20 minutes trying to get help. At no point did I attempt to miss the appointment, I was actively trying to attend and communicate with the office because this is important for me to try to get a handle on my own health care. I explicitly asked them to put me through to the office and verify that I could not be seen. I was told no one answered the phone and also that they answered and said no... contradicting what the office manager later said. When the office manager, Jasmine Jackson, contacted me the following day, she stated that the office would have been able to see me had the call center communicated that I was waiting outside, but I was told not to come in by them even though I explicitly asked to be seen multiple times. Jasmine went further to blame me, suggesting that I should have parked in a lot a few blocks away behind a Tiffany's store. I am not familiar with the area, and I chose the two garages nearest the building and then street parking, because I was concerned about my ability to walk farther with my adult son, who has limited mobility and is difficult to push in a wheelchair, especially given my own back and extremity pain that limits my ablity to walk long distances. I also spoke with Kelly in the business office and Stacey in the call center, both of whom said they would follow up with me regarding this issue. Neither has contacted me as promised, demonstrating a continued lack of responsiveness from the office. I am concerned now that I have been abandoned for care because they are prioritizing this no show fee for an appointment I begged to attend as soon as I figured out how to safely get my son and I inside over my actual health status, knowing my medical condition impacts a vulnerable person who relies on my care.

When clients were transferred to Corewood from another provider there was no organized support offered and no significant changes to the disorganization and lack of follow up in sight. It became too difficult to reach anyone, to get clarity on procedures or figure out forms that weren't working, and then also finding billing errors and getting shifted around or given wrong information. I felt on my own and as if Corewood never saw these things as real problems. They had many reasons & explanations which I understood at the time, but I got tired of trying to accept struggling on my own to get simple things you would need and that you are paying for.

My guess is probably limited because it's Chevy Chase and they wanted a place with parking. Connecticut Ave can be...difficult, and this office is not near a metro. The parking in the back can also get crowded, and could be cheaper. So ultimately I deduct one star because it could have been a little more accessible, even to patients with cars. But the staff (especially the lab staff) is excellent and you can expect a similar experience as other offices.

Dr. Guansing spent about 20 minutes with me, no rushing, figured out the issue and sent me on my way. My experiences with One Medical are always like this and it was the same at the Bethesda and Pike and Rose facilities also.

I chose Dr. Timothy Lee as my pcp and also see NP Michelle Patterson regularly for wellness checks. I also saw Dr. Jillian Noyes once when the others were not available for a last minute rush appointment. I've been so happy with every member of the health care team who has treated me. I feel like the team spends more time with patients than at my previous practice. Bloodwork, prescription refills, referrals to specialists, follow up...it's all done quickly. The staff is friendly, the offices are clean and fresh, and it's all a nice place to go. It never feels hectic. And of course, the app makes it easy to schedule appointments. I'm very glad I made the move. I have neighbors who see other health care practitioners at this office and are equally happy with their care.

But--I lost my primary care MD 5 years ago, so started calling practices, GW MFA, etc., a year ago to find a new MD. Forget about it. I started calling again recently, hoping there were doctors available. Nope. There is NOTHING out there--I had estimates of waiting times of several MONTHS for an appointment with an MD. No one offered an appointment with an NP or a PA. A few places wouldn't even put me on for a wait list appointment! It's dire. I had no choice but to sign up at One Medical, which btw was recommended by two friends with high standards for doctors. There is another potential issue, that it's only general practice, no specialists. But they do a lot of the requisite tests, blood tests, etc. I already have my specialists, so it's not a problem for me. And my PA is excellent. She is pretty young, but very well trained, very smart, and responsive. And you can tell she likes her job! More good things about Farragut Square OneMed. I"ve been several times since joining a few months ago, and I've NEVER had a wait. The front desk folks, the techs, the medical professionals? All excellent, very personable, and polite. What a change from some other DC medical practices! They take insurance--and if you're not insured, they will figure it out. Also, they are so tech forward, everything is very easy to accomplish, and not stressful. No waiting on hold! Again, what a change. Anyway, if you need a primary care MD, and can't find anyone, give one of these practices a try. If you don't like them, you can leave.

A more traditional doctor, I could call and ask to be seen same day. But no one answers messages on the app anymore. I'm trying to switch practices but no one will answer me through the app how to cancel my membership. If you are looking for premium care and service, this is definitely not it anymore. PS: do yourself a favor and sort the comments by "newest first" -- you can pinpoint exactly when things went downhill. All the positive reviews are over a year old.

The PCP I saw had excellent bedside manner and was very thorough. I have no complaints about the doctor or the medical care I received. However, I would not recommend the staff member who was drawing blood in the morning. Before we started, I specifically explained that I am not good with needles and that my veins can be difficult to find. I asked for someone experienced with difficult blood draws so the process could be done with as few complications as possible. Unfortunately, she was unable to locate my vein. She inserted the needle where the vein was not and then attempted to reposition the needle under my skin to find it. It felt like a blindfolded dart competition. I immediately asked her to stop and politely requested another person to draw my blood. I was told there was no one else available at that time. I returned the following morning hoping someone different would be available, but the same person was there, and I was told no one else would be available until 10 a.m. I understand that difficult blood draws happen, and I don't expect every attempt to be perfect. But when a patient specifically communicates that they have difficult veins and anxiety around needles, I believe that concern should be taken seriously and an experienced person should be available when possible. I'm sharing this because I would not want someone else who has difficulty with blood draws to have the same experience. The office and PCP were excellent. My concern is specifically with the blood-draw experience and morning staffing.
