After dropping my car off, I received an electronic invoice with a cost estimate and detail of services. You have to electronically accept or decline the services on the invoice before they start working on the car. This is super helpful and transparent. While inspecting my car during the oil change, they discovered my car needed additional work. They sent an updated invoice with the estimated cost and details of the recommended additional work, as well as pictures. Same thing, you have to accept or decline before they proceed. I really appreciate the transparency and good customer service here.

Because it was not initially clear what code was causing the check engine light, I had to drive the car long distances after each repair was made, until eventually the check engine light stayed off. I called Dave's Auto each morning to ask for help with diagnosing and repairing the car, each time they would tell me yes, I could bring the car in that morning. I would show up within 20 minutes only to be told they could not take my car and to come back again the next day. In order to get the work done in a timely way with better communication, I ended up taking the car to other mechanics for diagnosis and repair. In June when the repairs were finally completed and all was set for reinspection, I called Dave's Auto to ask them to reinspect my car. They told me their machine was broken and to call back the next day. When I called back again, I was told the machine would not be repaired until after my 60-day period was over. Since their machine was broken and they were not able to provide the standard free reinspection, I asked them if they would give me a refund for the original inspection they did, and they said no. While some of their customer service was good, some of it was unhelpful or rude, and overall they did not resolve my problem or communicate effectively.

Our truck started experiencing weird transmission issues that were quickly becoming major damage issues. Dealer was first thought but I knew it would be super expensive just take a look and access damages. After a quick shop around in area I came across several mechanics that serviced Jeep transmission and sent out requests for an appointment. Cars R Us responded with a phone call and an appointment. I called back explained my issues and they had an idea of what was going on with my problems, I had researched before hand and they were spot on! Dropped off truck next day and had it evaluated by end of day with a plan and service plan. Next morning got a full cost estimate and was blown away by the professionalism and honest assessment They gave me. Felt comfortable with assessment and agreed to work. Took them late morning into early afternoon and got call back when done. Picked up car ready for summer weekend. He explained clearly what work was done and showed old parts that needed replacing, even giving decent assessment on what to expect and possible future wear and tear on transmission. That afternoon we took off to Harwich port out on cape and put the old buggy through the rigors of cape traffic, So Far So Good!! Plus one day of a typical Boston trafficked commute I can happily write this review knowing Mike his fellow mechanics at Cars R us did an incredible job for a great price and Reliable work!
