Very unprofessional! My wife's car got rear ended, so she decided to take it there (big mistake cuz they sucked last time). They had the car for 1 week and said the car is in metal (meaning body work to them i guess). 2nd week they called and said the same thing. 3rd week same crap again. My wife picked up the car closing time on Friday and they told us that there is still a back ordered part still. We noticed the steering wheel was way off center and there was new dents and scratches along with paint runs. I checked underneath and noticed no undercoating on repairs, just bare metal. All the rims were acid burnt from lazy detailers that use acid to clean wheels. We returned the car on Monday asked about alignment & damages, Iwa said i dont think this car went to alignment, WTF! Well.. long story short we kept getting the car back on Friday closing time, w/ new damage on paint. This kept on happening total time 3 months til we just gave up and said screw it! Worst business place ever. Got into a car accident and went through my insurance to get my car fixed. They recommended Central Body & Paint. After my car was fixed I went to pick it up and did check of my car before paying my deductible. I noticed there was a scratch on my front driver side (that was not there before) which was weird because I was rear ended. I pointed it out to them and they acknowledged they put the scratch on my car (no duh you did....you took picture of my car before you guys started working on it) and wanted to fix it. When I tried to set up another appointment for them to fix their own mistake they never called me back. What I got was, "oh i need to talk to my boss and I'll call you back." Yeah....never got the call back for 2 months. I had to call them again and got, "I'll call you back." Went to get my car fixed by them and they end up putting another scratch on it. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE AND TROUBLE. There are better car shops out there. read more

My brand new (not even a month old) pearl white 2014 Limited Explorer got hit on the passenger backseat door June 28th and I took it to Central Body & Paint shortly thereafter and was told they would set up the work in a couple weeks. I called them to confirm and they tried to push it back four more weeks to begin work until I complained then they finally took it in. After a couple of weeks there I was told they ordered the wrong replacement rim for my low profile tires so I had to wait couple more weeks. After almost two months of having my car and my rental car contract was used up in full they were done. Unfortunately, while their employee drove it out to us they scratched the brand new rim and said they would replace it and call when it arrives. Couple more weeks go by and I call for status and they say they never ordered the new rim and will repair it only but I would need to drop off my car for a two day job to repair a brand new rim they damaged. WTH!!!! The other drivers insurance paid for all my car repair work and Central Body & Paint damaged it again and I don't get a brand new rim?! I get repaired not replaced!!! I should file an insurance claim against them cause this feels like another accident to me! I will never go back there and I will never recommend anyone to go there. When I washed my car after I initially got it back it had masking tape all over the roof and the door panel had dry paint marks. This place was unprofessional at best, they never were gonna call me about the so called replacement rim or their repaired version if I had not contacted them. After getting into an accident which was at no fault of mine, I came over to Central Body and Paint to get work done mainly because it is close to were I live in the Aiea area. It is conveniently located near the harbor business plaza area which is right across from the Waimalu shopping complex in front of Cutter Ford and also next to Best Buy. All I have to say at the moment is, superb and fantastic job by the team at Central Body and Paint. I had a very smooth and satisfying experience from the initial set up appointment to the process of waiting for the repairs to be done. The staff and customer service is great. I appreciated the automated updates about the progress of my vehicle during the repairs. Angela at Enterprise Rent-A-Car was really helpful and the car rental process served extremely convenient. Most of all all the appreciation and gratefulness to the team who did the actual work to my vehicle. They are the real MVPs for getting the job done and making the fixing the damages back to new! I had a vent fall off of the front bumper of my 2012 Subaru WRX, and to my dismay, the replacement part didn't come painted from the factory. So, I had to get it painted. I went to Pearlridge Fender first, as they had done some repair work on a friend's 2012 Subaru WRX, but they turned my business away saying that "the best way to deal with this would be to paint the entire bumper". and that "the final paint job was likely to be a shade lighter or darker from the bumper itself." I wasn't claiming this on my insurance, and I definitely didn't need my entire bumper painted, so they pointed me in the direction of Central Body & Paint. I'm really glad that they did, because it was one of the most painless experiences I've had. They had a quote ready in no time, and told me exactly when it'd be ready. Everyone I had the pleasure of speaking with was very polite, and I felt like they really cared about the quality of their product, and service. They made double sure that they had the right information from me as well, and contacted me via polite email to make sure that the paint code was correct. The part was painted perfectly and it looks exactly like the one that got knocked off of my bumper. I baby my car, and was kinda worried about it looking right when I finally got it put back on. I recently took my vehicle here after being hit by an uninsured driver. There was some body damage to the left rear quarter and apparently some issues with the suspension. I was quoted a price and told it would take 9 days to repair it. Ok, no problem. I declined a rental car as I thought I could get by for a week and a half without one. Ten days go by, then 15. I call in to see what is going on and I am told it was more difficult then they thought and it would just be a few more days. I was told it should be done by the following Friday. I called on Friday and was told it was next in line but wouldn't be done until Monday and someone would call me. Monday came and went with no call. I called on Tuesday and was told it still wasn't done, but....it was next in line. Finally, I received a call the following day asking me if I could pick up my car that afternoon. So it only took 26 days instead of nine. If it was just a time thing, I could get past it but when I show up to pick up my car, there is a new ding on the rear left passenger door that was not there when I brought it in. The bottom engine shield is also falling off now and some of the trim is loose and/or misaligned. To be fair, the body and paint work that was done is pretty good. They did offer for me to leave my vehicle with them and they would repair the issues that they caused but after having left my car with them for almost a month, I refused to leave it any longer. read more

My husband and I felt the Aloha spirit of "treating the customer like family". Central Body & Paint was recommended to us by BMW when the rear bumper of our XI was punctured by a pick-up truck hitch. Rory Jr. inspected the damage, immediately gave us a quote, and prepared the paperwork. Bobbie communicated with us clearly: the insurance responsibility, the part to be ordered, and gave us the next available appointment. On the day of the repair, La did a thorough job inspecting the car to make sure that even the smallest marks are accounted for. We were told that it will be a quick job and after 2 hours, we received a call that the car is ready to be picked up. We were very satisfied with the result! Geico recommended this place to me well I should have never listened, I had a collision and my trunk had to be replaced, I received a call that my car was complete for pick up but still have some small parts on order, so I pick my van up and went home and the fallowing happened. They replaced the trunk and pulled a peace of molding from my van and never put it back so when it rained my truck was soaked with rain water and when I took it back for repair instead of putting the molding back they just plug the hole and sent me home with a roach infested van from being in their shop. So I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Went here for an estimate over a week ago.I was told to go wait and someone would be with me shortly. What exactly is shortly? Not 75 minutes, right? Well that's how long I waited, before finally leaving. Oh, somebody came alright, to help out this lady (who came in way after me) within 15 min. of her getting there. I wasn't so lucky. To add insult to injury, the waiting room is within full view of their office through a huge window. For the whole time I was there, saw MULTIPLE workers walking in and out of that office. A majority of them made eye contact with me through that window, a few of them more than once. Not one of them bothered to come in, and asked if I had been helped. But that didnt stop them from eating or chatting on their cell phones, in full view of me without a damn care in the world. Anybody in this workplace actually do any work, or what? To all of you reading this, save yourself the heartache and dont even bother coming here; service stinks worse than the city and county landfill. read more

My vehicle wouldn't start, I had taken my previous vehicle to Central to have work done on my Chevy blazer and did such a great job that I was hoping they would be able to help me with my Highlander. To my surprise they were able to set up my vehicle to be towed over because it wouldn't start. The staff was willing to assist in having it looked at by their certified mechanic. Once the vehicle went I was informed that my engine was in need to be changed out I was given several options. The mechanic even walked me through the cause of the problem, he took his time to explain to me as I'm not knowledgeable in cars. The new engine was put in. The manager knowing my financial postion is not in the best he had loaned me a vehicle for the time being I really appreciated it because the rental was too expensive for me. I was updated twice a week through the whole process which was a plus for me and less stressful. Once my vehicle was completed I went down and was just so excited to see my vehicle running. They have even cleaned my vehicle. It was such a great expeirence from beginning till the end. My vehicle has been running great in fact better than before. My vehicle was even cleanned which was well needed and made me appreciate my vehicle even more. I have sent a few friends here to get estimates and repairs done here too. read more

My 12 year old jag was restored to perfect condition. it was sideswiped when it was parked on Ala Moana Road in the park. This was my "baby" and bought it with just 2 miles on it. Now twice i have had to have it repaired and twice i have taken it to central body & paint. Each time they have not only done a great job making it look like new - they have done a TERRIFIC JOB making it looked like it came off the showroom. specifically, the paint is matched expertly and connot tell where the damage was; the parts are all original jaguar parts - no scimping; the staff is expert and VERY KNOWLEDGBLE about the estmates, working with the estimator and the insurance company. they handled all of the "back and forth" with the insurance company and estimator, which saved me time i needed to allocate to my business. in fact they did such a great job, when i was driving in waikiki the other day i was stopped at a light and 2 gentlement couldn't help but comment on how great the car looked!. another case of "car envy" - but it goes to show you how central body & paint NOT ONLY did the repairs, BUT ALSO MADE MY CAR LOOK BRAND NEW IN THE PROCESS. i recommend them highly for their SKILLS, PROFESSIONALISM AND FRIENDLY STAFF OF PROFESSIONALS WHO "KNOW HOW TO WORK WITH" ESTIMATORS & INSURANCE COMPANIES. read more

I took my 94 Toyota Supra there to have some minor rust repaired on the back hatch, and just behind the passenger door on the quarter panel. I had originally told them I only wanted it taken down to primer, as I had plans on ordering paint from another company and completing the job myself. However, things fell through, and I ended up having to call to make last-minute changes and have CBP paint-match the hatch. There were more than understanding, and gave me a revised estimate within a few hours. The entire process took about 5 days. During that time, they kept me informed as to every step as it occurred, and approximately when I could receive the final product. Their customer service cell provided absolutely phenomenal communication throughout the week. They notified me the car would be available for pick-up at 3:30pm on Fri, but that they closed at 4:30pm. I wasn't able to make that narrow of a window, and they worked with me to get my car finished earlier by 2:30pm. Once I arrived, I gave a once-over on the car, and the work looked immaculate. The car was completely washed and detailed, with no overspray (like it would have been with a Maaco job), and it looked like it came right off the factory floor. I did notice, however, the spot behind the passenger door hadn't been taken care of. I pointed it out, and they fixed it on the spot, no questions asked. My one and only complaint...and I'm nit-picking here, is that they are not open on Saturdays for customer pick-up. I think that would definitely help, at least with military customers, since most of us can't make it prior to the 4:30 closing time. Overall, I couldn't be happier with their service, and would recommend them to anyone who needs quality repairs done in a timely manner. read more
