My car was involved in an accident and needed to have the front end fixed. While it took some time to get the parts in, things were fine. We brought the car in on 6/10 and when I brought the car in I asked the person who checked us in - how long it would take to get the work done and when to expect to pick it up as we would be paying for part of the rental car. Joy told us that the car would be ready by 6/17 and that's what they communicated to Enterprise. So, when I didn't get a phone call from Classic I was concerned. Since we got NO communication from them at all. Classic told us they would reach out to us on the status of the car, and let us know if the car needed to be kept longer or could be picked up early. We got neither. We didn't get a call for an update on how the fix was going, we didn't get an update on if the car could be picked up earlier nor did we get a call to find out if the car needed to be kept longer. Classic also didn't notify State Farm our insurance company, nor did they let Enterprise know either. I am fully disabled and usually have dr appointments weekly, some I have to wait for weeks or months to get into due to the lack of specialists here in our state. So I was growing concerned. Then on 6/22 Classic called late in the afternoon saying that the car was done and that we could come and pick it up. Never mind that my husband was driving the car! Plus the next day I had several dr appointments that I had to reschedule because I didn't want to incur any further charges for the rental. I called State Farm to see if they could call classic to cover the 5 day time difference from when they told me it would be done. (They did NOT say it was an estimated day.) State Farm called Classic and said that they put in the "information" on the repairs and that the date I was given was an estimate and refused to cover $30 in the rental cost. Never mind that I also lost my dr appointments that I had been waiting for since they dropped the pick up date on my lap at the last second. Not only did Classic not apologize for the lack of communication but they did not own up for their mistake. I feel like Classic is just in it to collect the insurance money and give nothing more. We were treated horribly and with no apology made it worse. If you are involved in an accident use another body shop. Oh and State Farm tried to use the war in Ukraine and the fact that China is trying to take over Taiwan as an excuse for the lack of communication from Classic. Please. That is not right. read more

Have taken our family card here over the years and will continue to do so. Location - if you live in central Oahu this Pearl City shop will be convenient for you, located in the Pearl City industrial area on the edge of PC just before Waipahu. Service - Estimator Tim (has been there since I first started using Classic around 1990ish) is friendly and professional. Joey, one of the owners who also works in the office is very friendly, informative, and helpful. She recommended I get my car repair covered by insurance, that the increase in premiums may be less than I think and she was right! She made sure I knew about Enterprise Rental next door and that they would have the car there on the day I brought in my car to be repaired. (Didn't use them this time but they provided a car just as stated previously.) It's very convenient, since other shops can't always do this. She was very informative about expecting a long lead time time for parts (standard now - happened at two other locations my hubby had to use for his car when he got hit from behind. Each of the other driver's insurance has different shops that we had to go to). She also let me know the technicians work on commission and don't get paid until the job is done so they will work hard to get the job done quickly. However, she's just a bit too chatty both on the phone and in person. Took up a little too much of my time unnecessarily. But I guess over communication in this instance is good? Only thing is I had to call for a status on parts because after the two to three weeks Tim the estimator gave me, (which was a surprise since that hasn't been my experience since the pandemic for my hubby's car), no one called. That's when Joey explained it takes up to eight weeks now days, depending on the situation. (My car is very old, probably harder to get parts.) I did get a call to give me an update on the parts when only a partial shipment arrived, and once all the parts were in I got the call. Car was ready one day earlier than estimated. However because the number they called from didn't "show" as Classic I didn't take the call and didn't see the VM until too late. My bad, but I advise businesses to set up their phone systems to show their business name on all their lines if possible since so many of us get scam and junk calls now days. I also got an email from my insurance to let me know the job was completed, once Classic contacted them. Car looked great and was clean when I went to pick it up. The new fender was nicely aligned and the paint color match was perfect. It was lunch time so I did have to wait a few minutes because the one person still in the office was on the phone. I did expect that since it was lunch time so it wasn't a surprise. (There's usually two or three in the office.) She did come out as soon as she got off the phone. They text you a survey link a day or two after, so you can let them know how they did. I think that's a good indication they care. Having had to take hubby's case elsewhere a couple of times in the last few years to different shops (because we used the other driver's insurance to get our car repaired due to it being their fault), I think Classic still does a decent job in every aspect of getting your car repaired. read more

They completely low balled the appraisal. I Showed the guy there my cracked taillight he goes "oh well just polish out those scratches". I told him it was cracked and you could clearly see the crack down the side. Well months later water and condensation got into that taillight it now has 2 inches of water inside. I Have special sequence light back there that blinks and that was 150 and now the whole thing is shorted out. They took the ladys side that hit me and backed into my car as I was driving through the parking lot. Shes a lier and so are they. It wvas well over $700 in damages not including that broken taillight that they just blew off and acted like it wasn't broken. DO NOT go here! read more

Writing this review for my fiancé who had a TERRIBLE experience with Classic Bodyworks. He had to get his car fixed bc of an incident so his insurance recommended this place. And of course, he did his research and was very iffy about this place because of the many negative reviews here on Yelp but he wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. He dropped off his car.. and they notified him that it will only take three days to repair the bumper of his car. BUT, they didn't contact him until AFTER the three days to pick up his car which he found off since they told him three days but hey no big deal it happens, places get busy. However, they did mention that they did call him on the third day when the car was done BUT they called the wrong number.. okay that's fine too. Mistakes happen. However, upon picking up his car and closer inspection he noticed not one, not two, but MANY dents/chips on his car. Same with what the other Yelp reviewers has mentioned for this place. He went back to the shop, asked how this happened and the son of the owner said it's because of "wear". Mind you, my fiancé just got his car brand new not even 2 years yet. So, it can't be a "wear and tear". Even with older cars, that just won't happen right unless something were to be scratched against it and what not. It won't just magically appear. During their conversation, the son of the owner tried to make up excuses. But my fiancé knows that before he dropped of his car the car did not have any of those scratches. A simple "I'm sorry, let me see if I can do anything about it" would have lightened the mood. BUT, the son of the owner said.. and I quote "I can't do this right now, I have other things to do" and proceeded to walk away. WALK AWAY. No apology, no "let me get someone else to help you". Apparently he was toooooo busy to help my fiancé with the concerns of his car. Is this how professionalism is, in this place? Extremely baffled, frustrated and just mind blown at the experience here at Classic Bodywork's. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Pro tip for anybody who dares to step into this shop: Please, please take photos of your EVERY surface of your car before you drop it off. I had a great experience with Classic Bodyworks. Jo, the part owner, was very informative and helpful. When I dropped my car off for repairs she introduced me to the tech named Brannan, who worked on my car. Brannan just happened to have the same car as me and was able to give me great tips and info regarding my car. He also gave me an extra seatbelt adapter to use when I drive my dog around, which stops the annoying seat belt alarm from going off. I would recommend them for collision repairs, esp. for European or newer models. read more

Had my van repaired here and it was an amazing experience. The van was parked at home until the parts came in. I guess because their lot is filled with cars that they currently need to work on. This was understandable because otherwise, my car would just be sitting in their lot and technician would have to move it in and out play Tetris. And I expressed to them that we have three kids and the eight passenger van was only with van that can accommodate the entire family so I asked him to help me out to fit me in to do a rush job so that way I can get the van out as fast and as soon as possible. The lady in front was super helpful, felt comfortable to ask any questions. Tim, the estimator was on point with his estimate, quotes be about $300 off from the initial estimate. I think that's pretty good by the time they finished the repair. Communicated through the whole process was great and responsive! I hear them all over the radio on the Christian Chanel also. Would not recommend! They created more damage in repairing my truck. They over sprayed clear coat on one side of the cab and hit the other cab side with a orbital sander. Clearly the result of careless work. I also had to take the truck back twice to get them to fix damage they missed. If you value your vehicle I'd take it else where. Brought. My car in for repair on May 14 and picked up on May 22. It started to be a very nice transaction with Tim checking me in. I showed him some minor dents I had on the car as I was thinking of fixing it, but decided not to because it would have cost me more, plus he suggested their someone who can do it without doing body, like dent repair guy. Shelly did a great job with calling for parts right away as the car was scheduled for shipping. Here is how it gets NARLY! I picked up the car on Tuesday morning. The replacement that they did was perfect. However, when I was checking the car into a facility for change oil and tinting, I noticed an over spray of something on the pillar trimmings on the same side they did the work on. Tried wiping it off but it was sticky. I was advised by the technician who checked me in to take a picture and let Classic Bodywork know about to, which I did. I spoke to Shelly about it on the morning of weds May 23. I noticed it because I detail the car at least every other week. The car was at the maintenance and tinting ship for two days. On the third day, car was picked up and parked, which made this a Friday. On Saturday morning I washed the car. I noticed a cluster of dents on the driver front fender by the head light. I thought it was rain drops at first so I wiped it again what I saw was a bunch of dents indicative of someone pounding on it. This is the same side that they did the work on and they had to match the fender color with the new door. It looks like someone put a towel over it and pounded the fender in, the problem is whatever they used went through and created dimples of dents. Those were explained to Shelly and today my nephew brought it over since I am already in the mainland. May 30: my nephew brings it in and they stick to the story that is rock chips just like the one on the front. That is a BUNCH OF BS! The worst part, Tim gets on the phone with me and disregards what I was saying and says "well it's rock chips like the ones on your front" and gives the phone back to my nephew like he didn't care and didn't want to hear it. I showed him Tim all the dents I wanted fix when I checked the car in, did not show him those dents because it was never there in the first place. To think I was impressed since they were Mercedes Benz certified body shop! What a fake certification as it didn't show their workmanship let alone the overall service and how Tim handled this. Very very disappointed and upset with this experience with them. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME TO THIS SHOP UNLESS YOU WNAT OTHER PARTS OF YOUR CAR DAMAGE AND THEM DISREGARDING THEM AND SHOWED NOTHIG TO RECOMMEND IT BUT TO MAKE IT SHINY or Buff it! I was very sketch on taking my vehicle since it was recommended by my insurance. Once my insurance did the evaluation my car was in the shop within a week. The owner is very sweet she took the time to explain the process. There were other issues that was not accident related and they called to see if I wanted it fix, for an additional price of course. Early this year I got into a minor rearender accident which pushed my back bumper out of line and messed a few other things. Thanks to Geico and Classic Body works I got everything taken care of, no stress!!! First I needed to do an accident assessment with a Geico representative which they do at classic body work. If you're looking for good customer service from the estimator DO NOT go here. The estimator was so disrespectful and sassy when I just asked a simple question. As someone who has 40+ years in this field he missed something in the estimate so when I came to pick up my car I ended up having to leave it again. I wasn't upset with the fact that something was missed I know accidents happen and everyone is human however you can control how you talk to someone. Especially to customers. Brought in 2 vehicles - first was a work truck with a damaged hood. Tim gave us a prompt estimate. They scheduled the work about 2 weeks out then got us our truck back within 3 days. Everything on the hood was like new and matched the truck perfectly. The second was a mini-van my dad backed into in our parking lot. Let me just say the owner woman, Joey, is so sweet & understanding. But the other woman who normally are at the front desk are horrible at there job. My first appointment (on December 5)to get an estimate of the damage done I showed up 15 mins early but still had to wait almost 2 hours to be seen... BECAUSE Shelley the one who helped up forgot to tell the geico worker who did the estimate we were here. He only figured it out cause he walked into the waiting room to see if the man after me came cause he thought I was a no call no show appointment, so he ended up behind on his appointments me that day because of her. Anyway after that everything was fine, they made my appointment to get it fixed, & get me a rent a car. I showed up, I happened to get a new phone w/new number for Christmas. So when I went to drop off my car, I gave Shelley my new number first I seen her write it down, I gave it to the fat enterprise man that assigned my rent a car TWICE. He told me it would take about 3-5 days. So I'm waiting, 5 days past it's now January 11 (Friday) my most busiest day of the week. I got home at 430pm from everything I had to do, so I decide to call them to check on my car. Sean (the owners son) answers, after giving so much attitude, blaming me for them not being able to get a hold of me telling me if I don't get there today I will get charged for the rent a car but they close at 5 I live 30 mins away already when there's no traffic. I get off the phone with this rude ass at about 4:45 the last thing he says "well if you come today someone will probably be here till 530 or 6" so I speed my ass there going almost 70 praying to God I don't get a ticket, the whole time I'm driving I have my daughter on the phone with geico (they are amazing, so on it. I love them, I've been with them for over 20 years) I pull up where I met Joey she's so sweet, she did help me calm down, make me laugh. It so happens they took my number down wrong they were off by one number. But they also did have my email, which they could've reached me by, since they have sent me multiple emails before this appointment (I check my email pretty much every hour) they fixed my car well, they just need to work on customer service, I can't give them more than 2 stars even if they did a good job and the owner did apologize and made me feel better the stress Sean put on me trying to get there was just way to much. He tried to pretend he wasn't being a complete ass in front of his mom but I'm sorry, I'm too old to be spoken too like that and will not stand for it, I hope they can get there office workers more put together, and teach how to be friendlier. Where to start... I was hoping to leave a rave review because of a past experience, but this is beginning to be a nightmare. I was scheduled to drop off my car for repair on Tuesday 7/15/2014, but unfortunately I was involved in another accident on Wednesday 7/9. My car was no longer driveable, so after calling insurance and Classic, the OK was given to tow it there. Friday 7/11, Classic now tells us they won't repair my vehicle at all. I now have to tow it away at our expense. Bad customer service. BEWARE, they will try to total-loss your vehicle, then after you receive your settlement, the car will be repaired and sold for profit. DO NOT COME HERE! Short story: THEIR WORK ISN'T THAT GREAT! I had to bring my car back numerous times to be repainted! And it's still not fixed! Long story: So I was rear ended and since this shop is certified to do body work on Mercedes I was referred by my insurance, Allstate, to get my car fix here. My first repairs took over 3 weeks. But I had to bring my car a couple more times, because I FOUND MORE FLAWS TO THEIR BODY WORK.. This shop is located in the Pearl City industrial, more towards the end near LifeTouch, not at all hard to find with their huge sign displayed. Their staffs were all lovely and very friendly, especially the office ladies. They did a good job for fixing my rear bumper and all the other damages, except for a few small details. Upon picking up my car the first time they fixed it I noticed what looks like someone's hair, that was still left or fell when they painted it it leaving a tiny lump. I brought it to one of their workers, Jorge, attention, and told me that I would have to bring my car back again or leave it to get it repainted because they wasn't able to buffer it out. And would take another 1-2 days. When already my car was held back one day because it didn't pass quality control. But obviously their workers aren't too detail oriented, otherwise that would not have passed quality control. After picking up my car a second time, they fixed the lump on my bumper in a day and provided me with a rental, in which they did a good job. But my brother-in-law, who does body work for Honda Windward, looked at the work they did, and what do you know he finds a few more flaws that I missed too. Their were more lumps on my side panel (that they of course painted) and chips on the side of my trunk hood that wasn't even fixed. SO, brought in my car a third time. They buffed out the lumps on the side panel, but couldn't do anything about the chips on the side of my trunk hood until Tim looked at it. So Jorge took pictures of it. IN WHICH THEY STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN BACK TO ME!!! Very unprofessional! So I gave up because its on the side of the hood, not visible to the naked eyes anyways... But still fixing it would be ideal if they ever got back to me... Overall, I expected a lot from this shop especially for all their awards posted in their office, one including being an "elite certified" for body works on Mercedes, but now that I read all the bad reviews and from my experience, would I go back to do future body works, probably not. But in life of course not everyone is going to be perfect, but yes their workers need to be more detail oriented. If they caught the flaws from the get go or simply just did the job right the first time, I wouldn't of had to keep on returning. read more

I bought a brand spankin'-new VW Passat, and after only two short weeks someone hit my car in a parking lot and ran. They apparently dragged their bumper along the driver side of my car leaving scrapes and paint all the way across until crushing in my bumper. I was furious. A friend of a friend who works at Classic Bodyworks referred me to the shop, raving about how amazing they are. I found out they are a USAA-recommended shop, so I went for it. Everything from the first minute I arrived at their shop was fantastic. The place was wide open and soooo clean (I commented that it looked like a hospital), everyone was extra kind, the estimate was quick, and they uploaded information to my insurance for me. They have an Enterprise Rent-A-Car office right there on site, so dropping off and driving off couldn't be easier. I was told the car would be in the shop for about 7-8 days... no kidding, it was done in 3. So, how'd the car look? Like new! I was extremely happy with the job, and since they warranty their work, I was able to drive off worry-free knowing that if anything goes wrong with the repair I could just take it back to them. I wouldn't change a thing about the experience... I can't thing of anything to improve. Geico referred us here. Someone smashed my rear bumper on my Prius. They ordered all the parts and took a week for repair on my rear bumper and trunk and latch mechanism. Everything was super smooth. Car looks brand new. On top of that they detailed my car inside and out, pretty dope. And they are affiliated with enterprise so I was able to leave my rental with them when I picked up my car. I had two cars repaired at Classic BodyWorks, an Infiniti M37 and a Mazda 3. Unless you knew something about body repair you would not be able to tell that the cars where in accidents. My Infiniti was pretty much new and they restored her to like new. Although I did go through with a microscope to check for blemishes and found only a few minor ones just cause I looked in places you normally wouldn't but they were happy to touch them up. My Mazda back end looked like new, matched paint perfectly as well as ensure that other parts of the care are looking good. I had scratches on my windshield and they buffed it out, they took care of the car beyond what they needed to so bonus points to service.
