My 16 year was in an accident on 8/2/24. I immediately called Allstate and opened a claim. I have…read morethe claim number to my daughter and told her to have the car towed to a collision center. This tow company said no unless she paid $400. I said, we have insurance with an open claim and AAA towing, tow it to a collision center (I was out of state). It went to the tow yard. On 8/3 I went in person and emptied the car, they took a photo of my license and registration. I asked again to have the car towed to a collision center. This tow company had me complete paperwork to release the car to Allstate for them to arrange the movement to the collision center. Then I get a notice in the mail that the tow company put a lien on the car. Why not bill Allstate who you have the information for and claim number? Or better yet, why not tow the car straight to the collision center as requested? I feel like this company is scamming my 16 year old at this point. I get you need to make a $, but she's a kid and we told you the car insurance info, claim info at pick up and that we have AAA. She's not even at fault.

Upon entering the yard I did the mistake of walking over to my car without "asking" for permission. The lot "yard" staff here almost immediately hostile and overbearing acting as if I was an immediate threat to "?" idk driving off whith clearly a totaled un-drivable vehicle. Not to mention there was an SMPD motorcycle officer in uniform inside the yard having a conversation with whom seemed to be the owner. Clearly there was no need for the yard staff to act as hostile and rude as they did. The lady in the office was helpful and not as rude as everyone else in this towing place. Awful experience.

Another driver crashed into her. My daughters car needed picking up, she is in Santa Barbara at school and I am in Orange County, California. Gloria never called me back to help guide me through the process of how I need to pick up the car, even though her staff said she would call me back. I had never had to deal with such a circumstance, uninsured, drunk driver hitting my daughter's car. Today I was hit with the $6,000 invoice for storage and towing , formwhich I called her and actually this time she did talk to me, I asked why she never called me back and now this $6,000 bill. She said, it isn't her problem, it is my problem, you should have known what you needed to do and then hung up on me. It's why i requested twice For her to call me to help me with the process back in November. Gloria, thank you for your understanding. Good job making easy money on this for yourself. Very very very poor customer experience and I guess that's how you make easy money. She said she sold the debt to a collections agency. Not her problem. I too am in business for myself, and you know what I do......I compromise with the innocent and let them know I will buy back some of that debt to make it easier for you.
