While I acknowledge that I mistakenly parked in a short-term parking space, the fee assessed is grossly disproportionate to the service provided. A short-distance tow and less than one hour of storage does not justify an $805 charge. Andrew took the time to patiently explain the entire process, including how vehicle storage would work while we waited for a long-haul transporter. Before a cross-country road trip, I took my diesel truck in for an oil change and paid extra for a general inspection. Since it was a diesel, I specifically asked them to check the fuel filter as well. When they called to let me know the truck was ready, I was told everything looked great. A few days later, while driving about 70 mph near Kingman, Arizona, the engine suddenly died. I had the truck towed to the Chevrolet dealership, where they diagnosed a severely clogged fuel filter as the cause of the breakdown. While inspecting the vehicle, they also showed me the air filter, which was so old it had started to disintegrate. It was packed with leaves and debris and clearly had not been inspected recently. Thankfully, there doesn't appear to be any lasting damage to the truck. However, the breakdown cost me half a day of travel, an unexpected overnight stay in Kingman, a towing bill, and nearly $500 at the Chevrolet dealership to replace the filters and get me back on the road. I understand that one employee's oversight doesn't necessarily reflect an entire business. However, after specifically requesting these items be checked and then experiencing a breakdown caused by something that should have been caught, I've lost confidence in the service. If you use this shop, I would recommend double-checking any maintenance items that are supposed to have been inspected.

The security company on a weekend called the towing company because the rear view mirror hanging placard didn't have a date stamp on it. This was the placard given by the hoa. The placard was in the proper location. First error was on the property management co. So the truck was towed by Martin's Towing in San Luis Obispo. Called them Sunday when we noticed the truck was gone and the note left on door. $450 on Sunday to get truck back or $350 on Monday during business hours. We chose Monday because the hoa was going to pay the fee as it was towed in error. We arrive on Monday to a very small office off Broad street where there are maybe 10 cars all piled into a place where you can maybe park 6 safely. Our truck was in there. So the security company took pictures of the vehicle before it was towed. We have those photos. Guess what! In the pictures it doesn't show the damage to the door on drivers side. We noticed this and called the company on the issue. They asked for the pictures for which I promptly sent to Steve (manager I assume). Steve gets back to me and says they are not clear to resend. So I do. No response from him. I call the office daily for 3 days in a row. Have to leave a message for Steve for which I do. Give him until Friday end of business to respond or going to small claims court. Guess what! That's where this is headed. I will be suing for one days lost wage, the damage, the inconvenience and court fees. I bet I win with these pics I have. I would NOT suggest using them for anything. Not unless you want damage done to your vehicle while in impound.
