We had an event beginning at noon, so timing was extremely important. When we arrived, every cold sandwich was prepared, bagged, organized, and completely ready to go. Christina is an exceptional manager with a great team. We cater large corporate events regularly, and anyone who handles orders of this size knows how stressful it can be when a restaurant isn't ready on time. Christina and her team made the entire process effortless. She had our receipt printed, made sure we had everything we needed, and got us on our way without a hitch. I'm genuinely sad to hear this location is closing. We've been coming here for several years, and I specifically drive out of my way to use this Capriotti's because Christina and her team have consistently been dependable and on time. Christina's professionalism, organization, and customer service are top-notch. Any company would be incredibly fortunate to have her on its team.

The vinaigrette gornonzola dressing is absolutely delicious, nice portions of everything they put on the salad so every bite is so flavorful. I will definitely order this again! Which was made up of perfectly fried pork topped with Dukes mayo (my fav), ranch-kraut (my new fav), and dill. You can really taste the ingredients which is such a plus for me as too many ingredients in a sandwhich can get muddy. - They had a special butternut squash soup with calabrian chili which was phenomenal. At only $3 it was a perfect side for winter. CONS: - Pricey. I think at this price point if it added a bag of chips or some time of fruit or a small little side or maybe a can of soda included it would be a perfect meal and a very reasonable price point. My only suggestion.

I…read morehad noticed Deadpan from some foodie articles and accounts - amazingly, they decided to keep their business going due to the massive support they received when they announced their closure a few months ago. The owner was kind and helped me pick between the two sandwiches I was being indecisive about - the Oh Schnitzel and the Hot Chopped Cheese. He asked if I could handle spicy and I said yes. I let him choose a sandwich for me between the two and he chose the Hot Chopped Cheese and said he thinks I'd enjoy it. He described it as a sandwich with chopped-up cheeseburger fillings inside, and they use a lamb and beef patty instead of just beef. Right, he was. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and the meat was spiced and slightly spicy, but nothing I couldn't handle. The sandwich was flavorful, and I'm impressed that the bread wasn't too thick because sometimes places serve sandwiches with way too much bread-to-filling ratio. The bread was also a nice texture, I'm glad it wasn't too toasty or crunchy like some sandwiches can get that rub the roof of my mouth raw. I felt like I had a well-balanced meal out of the Chopped Cheese. Flavor-packed meat, cheese, veggies, bread - that's all you need. The food was delicious, and I don't doubt that the rest of the items on the menu taste great, but the prices feel high, yes, even in this economy. I say this because I was able to finish this sandwich and still felt I had room to eat some more, perhaps a little snack. I almost always cannot comfortably finish my food in one sitting when dining out, so that was a sign to me that this wasn't all that much food, and I could tell from the get-go because the sandwich did look small.

The cider was from Second Summit and was deliciously crisp. And the beer was exactly what you'd hope for from a brewery like Uinta. For food, we shared the cheese curds, the ranch burger, and the turkey sandwich, all made by Nomad Eatery inside the brewery. Every single dish was a hit. The cheese curds had a surprising flavor combo but we loved them. The ranch burger was perfectly medium rare and had great flavor. The turkey sandwich was surprisingly hearty and delicious! I loved the chips in the 'which. The staff couldn't have been friendlier--everyone we interacted with was welcoming, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively; a great mix of brewery energy with cozy local haunt vibes. Overall, we loved the food, the drinks, the staff, and the brewery itself. I would highly recommend stopping in if you're in Salt Lake City!

Head to the back deli upon walking in and you will be asked for your order at the counter. I recommend your first order be a half sandwich - don't be macho like me and think you can handle a whole because you'll be wrestling with it all afternoon and possibly skip dinner. While you wait for the sando, browse the Asian themed market for a unique find, such as a flavor of Lays you've never tried (or seen!) or even a hot sauce from the many they carry. Orders can be taken to go, or eaten outside on one of their many tables. I'll definitely be back soon, they are open for business no doubt about that!
