Horrible service and store. I've been in the store for over a half order trying to order. There is bad cell service here so I tried to order at the counter and show them I have the promo codes. They would not take my promo codes and said I had to order online. I was the only person that was ordering at the time. All three employees did not offer any help and just went along their business. We ordered delivery from here, meh...it was just okay and small sub is only about 5-6 inches. There wasn't a "size chart" on the app we ordered from so had to guess what size to get. I got the steak and cheese whiz, the steak was good, cheese whiz wasn't melted, wasn't cold either. If I'd have nuked it to melt it I may have liked it better. It's definitely not fast food if you're looking for a quick lunch. I waited almost 20 minutes for food and I saw they reheated my chili in a microwave. This was definitely a turn off. I have always loved firehouse,good food ,good service.The west valley location is the absolute worst sandwich we have had.4 people,4 large sandwiches, bread was stale and hard the meat was beyond bad,alot of fat in the three brisket sandwiches, the deli sandwich was just short on meat.What has happened to this location.We spend 100 on 4 people,threw out the food,and went to another restaurant to eat.I asked to talk to the manager and was reminded that brisket is mostly fat.I make it at home in my smoker and for 100 dollars I can feed the entire neighborhood. Went in tonight to go pick up my online order and I was very disappointed there was one girl there taking the trashes out then she was touching the boxes and the paper that my sandwiches goes on then she disappears and leaves the one girl to make the rest of the sandwiches by herself. I love firehouse subs, but the past few days I've been trying to go I've arrived barely after 8 pm and the girl is already locking everything down and closing. Yesterday as I was walking to the door she literally ran to it to get to it right before me and locked it as I was trying to walk in. Didn't even have the respect to say sorry we are closed or maybe short staffed (not to mention closing time is 9pm as shown on the door) or anything just laughed and and ran away. Very unprofessional and disrespectful considering sandwiches aren't cheap only reason I go is because they are tastes and support local authorities. This place is new in the neighborhood and obviously a gimmicky chain. Dalmation-print on the tables and firefighter apparel hanging on the wall are the theme. If garish, loud and tacky are your thing, this is your place. As for the sandwich, it was pretty tasty. It was some turkey something or other. Service was friendly but still annoying. Upsizing is the default so you have to tell them if you want it otherwise. Someone was sweeping the floor and wiping down tables pretty much on top of me while I ate. I felt like I was in their way. TV's are WAY too loud. Lots of hard surfaces mean nothing gets muffled. So, two stars for good food...but I didn't enjoy the food because I couldn't wait to get out of the place. I've had some pretty good sandwiches from firehouse subs in the past, however today, from this location I am extremely disappointed. I sent my husband inside to order- and had him order me the smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket sandwich and he got the meatball sub. My sandwich was absolutely awful. It was absolutely soaked in liquid smoke, which I expected to taste being brisket, but it was overkill. The pieces of meat were mostly fat. The meat looked like uncooked fatty bacon. I couldn't even bite through the majority of the pieces as they were just rubbery, liquid smoke covered gristle. The sandwich quickly became a mess as probably 75% of the meat on it was fat and inedible. I'm sorry but for the prices of these sandwiches, I would expect much better quality. My husband was also quite disappointed with his sandwich as he said it was bland and didn't have much flavor. He said the meatball sub at subway is better. Yikes. We won't be returning to firehouse after this experience as I threw more than half of my sandwich away and it was over 20 bucks with no sides or drinks. That's expensive for gristle. read more

This place does a nice job. I will give it that. Layout is solid. Coke Freestyle machine is nice and stocked. The place is clean and tidy. All the good stuff is in order here. The menu is what it is. I back supporting first responders and if I'm picking a sandwich chain, I look for these. Firehouse has tasty subs and a very good variety of them. They have everything from ham and cheese to meatball and phillys. The flavors are very good. I have found that certain combinations are too sweet for me, for instance their ham is honey ham and their wheat bread also has honey so the two together make for a sweet sandwich. Last time I was there I got the club, it was very tasty with ham, turkey and bacon on a white sub roll, only complaint is the fact that the bacon is so thin it got lost and did not add much to the flavor. The service was a little on the slow side for a near empty restuarant (4 other people) but it looked like they were training a new employee. Ordered hot sub to go - Smokehouse Beef Cheddar Briskett. Bread was not the freshiest, but it wasnt totally bad. The hot sub was a total disappointment. The bread was warmer than the cheese and meat. How you can have a toasted bun with melted cheese over beef and the bread is the only warm item is beyond me. What the hell? No one answers the phone? The online platform would not work so we were trying to call to order but no one would answer the phone. My husband was calling while I was driving home from work. No one would answer so by the time I got to your store I had to place the order. I asked the girl at the counter why they didn't answer the phone. She said we don't answer if it is busy. There was NO ONE ELSE in there but me. It was 10 minutes. It was so busy that you can't answer the phone and 10 minutes later there is no one? I don't think so. Your online platform is a bunch of crap as well. We tried that first. We made 3 separate accounts but couldn't order. It kept saying our phone numbers were not legit, it said our birthdays were not legit. We then tried calling but no one answered. There were 3 people working but not one of them could answer the phone?!!?!!?!?? Then I ended up paying 35 dollars for two subs and one super small Mac and cheese. I think I will not be patronizing your establishment ever again. What horrible customer service and terrible prices!!! The least you could do is answer your phone when customers call. We tried this place for the first time tonight. Ordered and paid online. My meatball sandwich was okay, but my wife's ham sandwich was a disaster. We ordered no mayo, no spicy mustard, but with provolone, lettuce and tomato. Added oil, red wine vinegar and olives. We also ordered a cookie. What I brought home was a sandwich with gobs of mayo and pickles; no lettuce, cheese, tomato, oil, vinegar or olives. And no cookie. The original order is spelled out on the receipt, which means whoever made the sandwich was not just merely inept, but willfully inept. Sorry, but that's my opinion. From now on, we'll stick with Potbelly's up the street. More menu options and much better service when we order online. read more

Firehouse Subs is sick! I stopped by for lunch, and I noticed that the crew was very nice and put together. On top of that, the place was started by firemen, so how cool is that? I got the steak sandwich without mushrooms, and it was phenomenal! The sandwich itself was a little smaller than I hoped, especially paying $7 for it, but non the less, the cheese, steak, and wheat bread made a fantastic combination for a perfect taste bud pleasing lunch sandwich. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. This particular part of west valley is quickly getting developed with an overwhelming amount of food options, but I feel like this one stands out. The food is very yummy. The subs we ordered were warmed perfectly albeit a little messy. When given the choice between this and the local subway, I would choose Firehouse without hesitation. The employees are very friendly and welcome each new customer who walks through the door. The girl who took our order was pretty patient and sweet. If I had one complaint, it would be that the lobby is simply too small! My party and I wanted to dine in at lunch, but the lobby was packed and there wasn't anywhere to sit! (This is understandable at a lunch rush though.) Overall, great place, nice people, and awesome food. Would recommend to anyone! read more
