We were initially quoted $700 for the work based on the pictures I sent, and after a phone call when I explained the issues, he said give or take $200 more, but in the end, we had to pay $1,500 (plus a $100 tip). Dino explained that this was because there was some work needed that wasn't visible in the photos I sent. It might still be a good price overall compared to what I'll pay at the body shop, but for other potential buyers, just make sure you send all the photos of the things that need repairing so that you don't get surprised by the end cost.

I was looking for a place that would do some body work and paint on my classic car. I looked…read morearound for quite a while and nobody was interested in doing the work. Then I remembered that there were auto body shops behind Lakeland Ave in Ronkonkoma. I looked up a few and was surprised to find one with ninetyish reviews and all "5's". After working with David over the last few months, I now understand why. He is friendly, helpful, and very good at what he does. I'm not sure that he really wanted to work on a classic car, but he didn't say no like all the other places. Considering he was working with a 65 year old fiberglass body, I am amazed at what he and his crew accomplished. He noticed things on the car that I never noticed and repaired them beautifully. Most of all, he really cared about doing a great job. I could not have been luckier to find Sully Boys Auto.
