I got into an accident and went through Insurance to have my vehicle fixed. The job was done well cosmetically from what I could see. However, about a year and a half later, I had another incident and the second that my front bumper was damaged the paint immediately flaked and chipped away. When I brought my truck to two different shops to get quotes to have the work done, the FIRST THING out of both of the managers mouths at each shop was "Who painted your bumper"? When I tell you that it was the first thing out of both of their mouths I am not lying. I told them who it was, and that the reason I went to them was because they got such amazing reviews on Yelp. They both told me obviously that the bumper was not primed and prepped at all and that it was just simply painted. The bodywork, etc. that was done to my vehicle from what I can see was done correctly. I was not told otherwise. But the painting of my replacement bumper was half ass. You would expect that simple things like that are done correctly. I really wanted to leave them a good review and to be honest with you I wouldn't have known any difference had I not gotten into a second fender bender. But I'm glad that the other two mechanics pointed it out to me immediately. I had asked for a quote when I was there to fix a small dent in my trunk and I was quoted $1200 from Bona Fide. I found another gentleman that's been doing bodywork for 40 years and he did it for 250 bucks and did a phenomenal job. If you're gonna be a retail shop that charges retail prices you better do quality work front to back.
