DUDE. The ranch was shockingly awesome. We asked what dipping sauces to get with the cheese bread (we got 2 larges and they were big portions!! Fed lots of hungry high school boys), and the cashier told us the ranch was made in-house. It was incredible. The pizza was awesome too, we got BBQ chicken, pepperoni, cheese & veggie. The BBQ chicken was the fav but they were all really good. Cooked perfectly and topped heavily. We're so glad we found Central Lake Pizza and will be back next time we're in town!! A small town pizzeria. There are about 10 tables inside. They have a very extensive menu. I've had their pizza before, and it is good. However I wasn't in the mood for pizza. So I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, some mac n cheese, and a small onion rings. The Sandwich was good but ovet priced. It wasn't an $8 or $9 dollar sandwich, more like $5 or $6. Still good though. The Mac was a little soupy which worried me, however it tasted excellent. Lastly the onion rings were good, nothing special, but still very good. Overall a solid 4 stars. Would I return? I am so thankful that this is our town's Pizza restaurant because it is really good! Tons of options to choose from, excellent breadsticks (you have to try the garlic cream cheese with them), pizza is always fresh and tasty, some of my favorite potato wedges too. stopped at restaurant and 3 pizzas, when to pick up when told time would be ready. Pizzas were not ready as they ran out of sauce. no mention when we place order or phone call. went back 2nd time to pick up "supposedly manager sent a coworker over and gave me 2 of the pizzas they were just making the 3rd one. took the 2 pizzas as kids were hungr. went back in 10 -15 minutes to get the 3rd pizza, and was met on the sidewalk. the supreme pizza didn't have mushrooms on it but was on the bbq chicken. very dissapointed. read more

This week I was camping at Barnes Park campground with our friends from Traverse City. They suggested pizza for our Friday night dinner and we agreed to it. So if you've read my reviews you know my wife eats Gluten Free. They said Central Pizza is good. They have a Gluten Free pizza. She had this pizza several years ago but couldn't remember if it was any good. Unfortunately this time it was terrible. I wasn't crispy at all even when she put it in our oven to reheat it it wouldn't crisp up. I give them One start for trying but that's it. Now for my pizza... I tried their "Individual " which is 10". I had the Supreme, it's loaded up with everything. Unfortunately it wasn't great the crust was just Okay the toppings were just Okay, therefore the pizza was just ok. I guess it because it's a small town pizza joint and they don't have to be good there is no competition. Maybe the town folk there think it's great because there is no other. Idk?!? My fiance and I came out to Central Lake all the way from Los Angeles, CA for a vacation and to visit my parents. We are very much used to the fast paced style of Southern California where you can get anything anytime you want it, so coming out here even for a week was quite an adjustment for us. The second day we were here, we had a craving for Pizza. Our first inclination was to find a Papa John's or Brick Oven, but we found that the closest one was really too far away for us to bother driving. We checked the local fare and found Classic Pizza. We ordered a large half cheese half Italian sausage, and the price was totally reasonable. $14 and it was done in about 15 minutes. We really didn't mind picking it up, the extra effort was totally worth it. The flavor of the Pizza was delicious! The Italian sausage was not rubbery at all and was neither too spicy or bland. The cheese was perfectly melted and the crust was crunchy and chewy, just how Pizza should be. We've gotten pizzas from here TWICE since we came to Central Lake! In additon to that, we had some sandwiches the other day, and my fiance and I both had the Fish sandwiches. They were FABULOUS. Very fresh and full of flavor. I would not hesitate to order here! If you are looking for something delicious and quick for a reasonable amount of money, check out Classic Pizza. They WON'T dissappoint! read more

The Z-28 (vegetarian special) pizza was excellent. Loaded generously with olives, artichokes, feta, etc. Crust was medium thickness and still good after 15 minute drive home.
