Small place with very little seating, essentially takeaway only. I was excited to give it a try based on how many people were waiting around (it was about a 45 min wait for our pizza) and found that it's pretty good but nothing overly special -- I'd say it's a little on the salty side if I'm being honest. We have ordered pizzas from here three times already, and I have to say that we will definitely be regular customers. While their prices may seem higher than other pizza chains, they put a heck of a lot more toppings and most definitely do not skimp on the cheese! I normally do not eat the crust of pizzas but their seasoned crust (which apparently they are known for) is hard to resist. After a long day of skiing, this was the simplest way to fill our bellies. While they don't deliver to Shanty Creek, it was easy to just pick it up on our way back. The pizza had a nice proportion of toppings and was not overwhelming with pizza sauce. The cheese bread was also a little delicious treat as well. For all of you ranch people, it was a creamy ranch but taste like gross over the counter stuff. Definitely recommend if you are in the area or just need something easy after skiing/golfing. read more

Didn't get a chance to try the food but 1 star service. Called in the afternoon to verify they would deliver to where we were staying and was assured they did. We planned the rest of the day around having pizza for dinner (ie drank on the dock) but were then told to kick rocks when we called to order. You're given an address that you put into a machine that then tells you yes or no...the inability to accurately communicate that 1 word answer is extraordinary appalling. read more

Just ordered for pickup the 12" Papa K's Special with the thin crust and all I can say is I regret not ordering the 14". Everything about the pizza was awesome...flavor, the crust, the ingredients. My husband and I inhaled it. I usually don't eat all the crust but I left nothing on the plate. You will not regret ordering a pizza from here. read more

Sadly, we were really underwhelmed by the pizza here. Especially after reading so many rave reviews on Yelp. Have these Yelpers never had really GOOD pizza? We were staying at Shanty Creek & despite both Yelp AND their website saying they were open until 9:00 on Sunday, we called around 6:30 & there was no answer. Finally ordered takeout elsewhere & when driving past Papa K's, sure enough, they were closed. Not deterred, we still wanted to give them a try, based on such great reviews, so on Tuesday night we tried again & this time they were open. I gotta say the two guys we dealt with were extremely nice - very friendly and accommodating. But the best thing I can say about the pizza itself, is that they have nice boxes. Also, when I pulled up to get the pizza at around 7:40, the lights were out, the truck out front was warmed up for a quick exit & they darted out as I was pulling away. Yikes! Ya know the expectation that "up north" pizza will be just ok? This proves the cliche. Short's pizza is FAR BETTER. Sorry, guys. read more

This place is wonderful in the area for pizza, grinders, or salad. I've been here many times over the years and can honestly say that it is a great experience time and time again. Being the only pizza place in Bellaire, there aren't really any other options other than ordering pizza take-out from a restaurant. But there is no need, as you will be satisfied with the product that Papa K's produces. I haven't had a time when the pizza was disappointing and the service is always great! The owner is always very pleasant to deal with and more than happy to address any questions or issues you have. I highly recommend checking this place out and getting a cajun crust (if you like things spicy). read more

This used to be the best pizza in our area, sadly they changed their recipe and it just isn't the same. We would order at least 2-3 times a month from them. I contacted them through email to find out if the change was permanent and was told to in a reply to speak to the owner. Which was why I was emailing them. Some boys and I ordered 4 Large pepperonis. Simple right? So the guy comes with our order and has 2 large pizzas. We explain to him that wasn't our order and the receipt even said 4 large pizzas. Realizing his mistake he goes to get our 2 other pizzas and said he will throw in some cheesy bread. He made a mistake, understandable, just fix it and everything will be good. So the guy comes back with 1 large pizza. 1. A small pizza and some cheesy bread. After his second mistake he said he'd knock off $5, but didn't take the large pizza off that we paid for and didn't get. The first thing that I noticed about the small pizza was that it, in fact, was not a large. Pizza was okay, barely better than frozen.
