I don't recommend this place. Recently , I got a groupon to TUNE my bike there. Basically, the bike doesn't have any problem. Although they said it will be fixed in a day or two, it took them 4 weeks to fix the bike and cost me to go there couple of times. In the end, they gave me the bike while it was FLAT, the REFLECTOR WAS GONE. The other guy charged me 20$ for the seat that was fixed, and when I asked the mechanic, he quote 15$. That made them to return 5$. Worst of all, when I got out of their store, I realize that they destroyed the bikre. The SPEED DOES NOT CHANGE ANYMORE. THE LOW SPEED CHAINRING was also bent! Effectively, that bike is useless. They neither fix it nor give back my money. read more

Conveniently located few blocks south of Central Park. Rent the bikes and walk it up 10mins to the park. Still receive top notch service using Groupon for 4 hours. I recommend 4 hours so you can take your time and ride lazily around the park and go for lunch outside of it like Patsy's Pizza just a block off on 72nd. Staff named Miguel deserves special mention. We wasted 45mins looking for washroom and trying out the right bikes which caused us to "go over" the time limit. His understanding turned the whole experience into a great one. I find New Yorkers in general are stuck up snobs which I can understand typical of a big urban city with too many people & tourists. This was not the case with Miguel. I'm recommending friends to rent bike from this place. read more

We rented two bikes for two hours and paid a little over $30, including insurance. Helmets, locks, and baskets are provided, but all are optional. My best friend and I booked a bike tour for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time learning about Central Park's rich history (and that of it's millionaire/billionaire neighbours, too). Our tour guide, Dan, was insightful, engaging, and knowledgeable. You can tell from the start that he is passionate about New York City and about giving tours to its patrons. He offered to take photos at each stop, invited participants to bike with him near the front of the group to chat about the city, and was quick to offer advice about hidden gems and the best spot for bagels. Great experience, very touristy. If you aren't familiar with the area, it may be best to get a tour guide. My friend and I used the map guides they provided, and our iPhones for directions. We rented our bikes here and while there was a bit of a line, we were out and on our way in not much time. The bikes were in good condition, the staff was very friendly and the prices were fair. They included baskets at no extra charge, and also offered locks if we had needed them. If you're renting bikes to ride through/around Central Park, keep in mind you'll have to walk your bikes three or four blocks through heavy traffic to get to the Park. Central Park Sightseeing worked for us. It was a good deal and the bikes worked. The staff were not overly friendly, but hey, it's NY right. Also, be sure to get your driver's license back before leaving. I almost left after checking our bikes into the store. The person receiving the bike mumbled something to me and only after asking him to repeat his mumbled words did I realize I needed to get my licence back. Hope this helps. read more

Bike tour of Central Park...2 hours, mostly easy riding on pavement, some hills but manageable for all ages. Went to 3 stops which I enjoyed and were allowed some time to walk around and take pics. Amount of information given was good by our guide Michelle. I would recommend this tour as a good intro to the park...then go back and explore on foot. Bikes were a bit beat up and we had to adjust our own seats as the process was hurried at the start of the tour. There's one guy there who organizes the bikes and just barks orders at people...could use some customer service training! read more

We bought a greyline bus tour ticket that included an hour with central park sightseeing, however once we arrived there they said that the ticket didn't list it (even though we showed them the receipt and the plan indicating quite clearly it was included) So we paid the full price for 2 hours and waited 15 minutes to get the bikes and another 15 in the queue to return them only to be told we were 15 minutes later than our 2 hours. Finally with a huge Queue as evidence they relented but I'd warn everyone away from their service. Bikes are in ok condition but barely. read more

Took the 2-hour Central Park bike tour on Saturday morning. Not much of a tour, more like a guided bike ride. Our tour guide shared more of his personal opinions and points of view than he did information about the park and its surrounding neighborhoods. We only stopped three times and one of those was in front of nothing significant. We're definitely not a prudish family but I don't think it's appropriate for a tour guide to use profanity in front of children. We were disappointed. read more

DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE. They will try to overcharge you and mistreat you if you don't pay. The staff is not prepared to deal with the customers, even the manager was incredibly rude. Avoid at all costs. Here is what happens: You give them your ID, and they give you a helmet, a lock and a key with the bike. In MY case they never gave me a key, and when I tried to explained that, they were super rude and simply claimed that they would never forget to give someone a key, which means that the only possibility is that I lost it, and in that case I would have to pay a ridiculous 20 dollar fee for the key. But I was SURE that no one gave me a key, so I kept trying to talk and explain, I asked if we could see in the security cameras, but they sad no. Their response was simply "if you want your ID back, pay the fee, we won't talk to you anymore", and then they JUST WALKED AWAY. I couldn't believe that the MANAGER of the place would do something like that to a costumer, and to top it all off, when I said that I wouldn't pay for the fee they kicked me out of the store and kept my ID. I think that the only way to get it back is going there with the police. read more

I did a rollerblade rental. They were really cordial and I got skates plus all type of protective gear. I ended up losing one of my wrist guards and one of elbow guards and they didnt charge me extra for it and were pretty understanding. read more

I booked 6 bikes & lost my passport before arriving. Called to ask if I was late 10 min if I should re schedule or cancel. They said on the phone: don't worry; we'll be here 4 you. Got there 10 min later and they said I would be moved to next tour 1:30 pm. Tried to cancel cause it started raining. They said it waa safe and would do it. Did not let me cancel. 3 of ys got wet and sick and about the other 3 in my party that declined going due to asthma problems; they told me to write an email and so far no response. Went in today around early afternoon with a Groupon for 4 hours worth of biking for 2 people for only $25!! (Note: there is a $5 tax you have to pay once you return from your trip. I was not aware of that, but it was no problem.) The workers there were all very friendly, professional, and efficient. We checked in and were on our way within 5 minutes. You just need to sign in their sheet and leave some sort of ID for them to hold onto. Bike insurance is only an additional $2. Checking out was very quick as well. Thanks CPS! Although the whole two-different-lines business is a bit confusing, we really enjoyed the 4 hour bike ride in central park and along the Hudson river. One note - bikers need to wear helmets for safety/ticket-avoidance and we had to ask for them. Also, we did wait about 10 minutes to get the bikes, but were only behind one person when getting the ID back. Staff were more like more than competent handling the crowd. The place was offering a promotion for locals (1 year of unlimited 2 hour rentals for $50 pp). We definitely considered it, but decided to save up to buy our own bikes since we enjoy riding bikes and would like to ride when we travel. read more

Purchased a groupon and it led to 2 hours of biking fun through Central Park. I was extremely grateful for a bike because there was no way I could have seen as much of Central Park as I did by foot. The service guys were extremely helpful even through the busy crowd. They helped me find a very well maintained bike with a basket for all of my belongings! Word of advice, the store is not in Central park, it's a couple blocks down so I half rode and walked my bike through the busy streets to get to the park. You also need to keep track of the time because they will charge you if you go over the 2 hours. Lastly, make reservations ahead if you can through their website! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! My wife and I were excited when we booked a guided bike tour for Central Park. We booked the 9am slot for the following day. We arrived 10 minutes early and we were told that the 9am slot was over booked. We requested a refund but they were extremely difficult, even thought we told them that their website allowed us to book and didn't mention anything about being over booked. We finally agreed to rent the bikes and tour the park on our own but it was horrible. We wanted the guided bike tour so we could learn about the different attractions of the park but instead they gave us a map and sent us on our way. HORRIBLE..... purchased an Amazon Local voucher for $30.00 for 4 hour bike rental. When i go to the location to redeem my voucher i was told i needed a 24 hour reservation to redeem, mind you no where on the voucher or online did it said that. the attendant gave me a hard time and a big attitude when i was telling him that i was not informed of a reservation. i saw other people with vouchers same as me and they did the same to them. then i asked him what if i walked in with money to rent a bike will you give me one he said no. and a minute later someone walked in with with money that wanted a bike and gave it right away. now they are a whole bunch of delinquents that got paid in advance for the vouchers and now dont want to let the clients redeem.
