As usual, Central Power completed another outstanding job, this time installing a security camera and doorbell. They are the only electricians I completely trust to do the job correctly and cost effectively. Eddie is the technician I always ask for and he is the best. For this recent job he and Douglas were great. The wiring install required drywall and stucco cuts to connect wiring from my garage door opener outlet to the camera. Everything was done with care and the drywall cuts were covered over with face plates which look neat and clean. The doorbell installation was a breeze. We needed to have our existing standard "ding-dong" doorbell at our back door replaced with a wired video doorbell that I had ordered on the Internet. Central Power LLC sent 2 electricians who managed to remain patient even though what I had presumed would be a simple 30-minute task turned out to be long & complicated. We already had one video doorbell installed at our front door, and wiring this new video doorbell to work with the existing one proved to be tricky. I had to call the manufacturer (Ring) for technical assistance and with that added information the two electricians were able to get both doorbells working together. I was prepared for the likelihood that they would need to charge me more than the initial estimate because they had to stay at our home for about 90 minutes, but they said I only needed to pay the amount that was quoted in the initial estimate. I'd give negative stars if I could!!! Do not use this company!!! I made an appointment for 10am. I got a call the day of at 8:30am asking if they could come sooner. I said no and that's why I made appointment for 10am. He sounded annoyed but oh well. Then I called at 9:30am to confirm 10am and he says I took another call across town but I will be there at 10. I said ok. We got to house at 9:50am and he calls saying he won't be there till 11am and it's my fault because we didn't meet him earlier (hours) before our appointment time! In the middle of a pandemic it's not ideal to have people in and out of my home, but they came wearing their masks. The entire time, CORRECTLY. Which I greatly appreciated. My sister recommended them because of the fair pricing and their professionalism when installing her light fixture. They were efficient and replaced two of my fans without a problem. Great morning! Reason why I said GREAT is because Mario & Spencer from Central Power, LLC came out and diagnose and fixed my electrical problems. Yes more than one. It first started a couple weeks ago where only certain lights would turn off and turn back on minutes later... freaky right. As a common sense thing, I check all my GFI's and breakers and any loose wires but there should be none because I didn't install or change anything out. Yesterday was the last straw with us where I had to just throw the towel in and get professional help. Last night I called George last night around 7pm and told him my problems and if I can schedule the earliest available appointment. He gave me today as an appointment. Mario & Spencer came out and started their troubleshooting. I was worried bc I'd thought the worse of things. They found and fixed the problem and some more. After fixing the problem they made sure to check other wires (which they didn't have to) and double check if those wires were good which they weren't until Mario & Spencer caught it. I am 110% sure that they caught something that could of started a fire down the road. Mind you that switches or wires were never touched and basically fresh/ brand new wiring. I definitely recommend and this business and service. The two went above and beyond to not only fix our problem but made sure it was safe. Thanks a million. I booked a service call via Yelp with Central Power for 10:00 am on a Wednesday. By 10:07, I hadn't seen or heard from anyone. I called and spoke to George. He said they had not heard back from me after reaching out, even though 48 hours prior I sent two Yelp messages after they -- via the same Yelp conversation -- confirmed the date and time of my appointment. George advised that I should have called them to make sure my appointment was set. This instruction was not indicated anywhere on their Yelp page or in their prior communication. George said he would send his crew to my place after they finished their current job. He stated their ETA was 11:00. At 10:30, George called and asked me to text him my address because they were having issues with the Yelp app. To their credit, two workers arrived at 11:00, were courteous, and completed the work (repair of a ceiling fixture) in 20 minutes. While I am pleased with the outcome of their work, the breakdown in Central Power's communication and scheduling process was frustrating. If Yelp is not an adequate way to book appointments, they should make that clear. read more
