Service was amazing!! We had the cheese curds, truffle fries- must get. Summer cocktail menu is great- highly recommend. We also had the Italian chopped salad and chicken piccata. They have a roof top deck with great views of the lake and MKE for an after dinner cocktail.

We had a wonderful experience at Central standard craft house. We stopped in here before we went to an event in the Milwaukee area. To our surprise, it was happy hour on drinks and apps which included $5 old fashioned's....say less!! We each got two old-fashioneds and we tried it with bourbon sweet and bourbon sour and then Brandy sweet and Brandy sour. I preferred the sour version with Brandy! We also got the gluten-free cheese curds, which were amazing and it's not common to find gluten-free options in this. Also tried the brat board and the hanger steak. Overall we were pleased with the service, drinks, foos and vibes of this place. Would recommend!

When in Wisconsin, you gotta do Wisconsin. A Wisconsin Old Fashioned, that is. I was unaware this was a thing! It was tasty. And, of course, you gotta get some fried cheese curds with ranch. Like, that might actually be a requirement by law for all Wisconsin visitors. Our server was great. Very knowledgeable about the cocktails and spirits. Checked on us often. Didn't rush us. Even gave us a free sample of a local cherry vodka. They have a happy hour menu with some good cocktail and food deals. It's a nice vibe and atmosphere. Not too loud. Not too crowded. Nice industrial ambiance. I left a fan. Will be returning next time I'm in town.

I started off with the Coco Loco. It was deliciousness in a cup. Just paradise sip by sip. It barely tasted like alcohol. Then we got chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon. It's so savory and sweet. I love dates chorizo and bacon so this was the appetizer for me. I loved the citrusy salad too. Last time I was here I had chorizo burger for brunch. So for lunch, I had a smash burger and it was worth it. The pickles were sooo refreshing. I feel like they tasted so much like dill. We got garlic aioli with our fries and it was sooo good. I think they have a sample every day. We got to try the cherry vodka! I think it would taste so good in a cocktail.

We tried Central Standard on a Monday afternoon around lunchtime. We walked right in and it was empty. I was so appreciative because I had to eat quickly and go back to work and everything was served very timely. We started with the ginger tonic mocktail and grass is greener which were both perfectly sweet and refreshing. My husband ordered the fish fry and he enjoyed! His only complaint was the fish was a little soggy at the bottom, likely due to the heat. I ordered the vegan chili and the bahn mi chicken wrap. The chili was perfect for the cold rainy day with a slight kick to it, while the wrap was a unique set of flavors (the sauce gave it the perfect amount of kick). I'm dying to come back and try some of their other options!

Fantastic craft cocktails and a killer smash burger. Hannah at the bar was awesome and walked me through the house made spirits. Don't miss this place when you are in Milwaukee!!

Absolutely adore this place. Great drinks, great food, and great atmosphere. Food is fabulous from brunch to dinner. Personally love the steak entree for dinner and the old fashioned French toast for brunch (SUPER UNIQUE). The service is always great. I held a graduation dinner here and it was so easy to book the private room for a large group. Totally recommend this place if you visit MKE!

Thanks to Yelp we decided to get some girl dinner here for our last night in Milwaukee. This is a block away from the Milwaukee Public Market and definitely the place to be for happy hour. Huge dining room, full bar, nice lounge area and some cute merch too. Great menu for apps, cocktails, & bevs. We got the cheese curds (had to!), big pretzel with cheese sauce & aioli, fries and garlic aioli, and the BRAT BOARD - selection of brats with pickled pairings, it was sooo good! The cheese curds were also my favorite. I love that they highlight all the local vendors they use for their food. For those who love their beers & spirits, they pride themselves in making everything in small batches and locally distilled. Our server, Corbin, was awesome. Gave us some tips on where to go for the rest of our stay here. Overall, great food, cheap (coming from CA) and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Still a fan of Crafthouse! Since my first review here a number of years ago, I've been back several times. I've been here for events including a wedding as well as dinner and brunch. Every time we've been here, the service has been great! Most recently I was here on New Year's Day for brunch. I got a mimosa, my sister got a Bloody Mary. I ordered the breakfast hash and she did an omelette and got hashbrowns, adding cheese to them. She enjoyed her food, I liked my breakfast hash. It's one of my go to items on the brunch menu. Brunch was the perfect start to the New Year. Looking forward to more visits here throughout the year.

Really loved the food here. Great service. Love the original old fashions they are really delicious. The decor is very clean and I love the amount of wood accents. Love the building it's in too. Had the filet and the flavor was really good. My friend had the pork chop he enjoyed it. Overall so delicious. Fried Cheese curds here are perfectly cooked. Wish I could go back.

Walked in here for a quick cocktail on a Sunday afternoon, and it was fairly quiet with plenty of seating available. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was attentive and quick with our orders. The drink menu offered a lot of unique and creative options, including non-alcoholic choices. I ordered the Beet The Heat, made with triple pepper infused vodka. While there was a hint of spice, but it wasn't overwhelming. The beet juice too was not overly strong. All in all, the flavors were interesting and delicious. This is a great spot to explore and expand your pallet, all while enjoying the open and bright cozy space.

Very inviting as I come in. Love the little vases with flowers on each table. The sitting area by the window is great. The dining area towards the back is also great, but the floors are a little weird and slopes at odd angles. So I was uncomfortable sitting at our table. Our server was friendly and caring, and we felt very well taken care of. The standard Salad (green Goddess dressing) The dressing was a bit more vinaigrette-y than the green goddess I'm used to. So the salad was also a bit more vinegary than I would have liked. Parmesan & chive hummus Comes with naan and veggies! Delicious! Smash burger I asked whether the substitute lettuce for the buns could be whole leaves, and they don't have that, but they put garden salad mix instead. Very thoughtful. The patty itself was a bit salty. Fries that came with had been sitting out for a while. Beer can chicken sandwich Great sandwich, and tasty, but again, chicken was a bit on the salty side. Otherwise, it was great. Only complaint is that it seemed small. Hopefully not the norm, but maybe just cuz it's for dining week. Key Lime Pie So good! Loved the lime flavor exuding! Chocolate Cheesecake Total opposite of the key lime pie, but perfect to eat along with! Overall, great, with just a few things that could have pushed the bar up to 5.

Finally got to check out Central Standard as they are know for their rooftop bar. We came on a Friday night and it wasn't busy surprisingly. When you walk in there is a huge space for seating with nice couches and chairs to the left and the bar further down the way. There is a bar on that floor and the rooftop. We got our drinks to go on the roof and the views are stunning and surprisingly we were able to find a table on the roof. The music isn't too loud so you can actually talk to one another. Now the drinks were not the best. All of the liquor they use is ones they distill so they don't have tequila if that's your cup of tea. My friend got an espresso martini and let's just say it was not the color a typical espresso martini was. It was a super light brown and almost see through. I got also a bourbon old fashioned and they for sure pour a mean drink all you could taste was the liquor so I'd say you get a bang for your buck. I probably would not come back for drinks but peoples food looked good so I would come back at least for that.

Our server, Adam, was quick and attentive. He was funny, suggested items for us to try, and was very tentative of our friend's food allergy. We started the night with a few drinks; #39 non-alcoholic Paloma, #129 non-alcoholic sbagiato, and #33 Sherry Pear-Y. All of which were absolutely amazing! Then we ordered the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs (comes with two pieces), Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushrooms, Cappelletti, Slow-braised Bison Cheek, Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish), and the Wood-fired Bavette Steak. Where do I begin? First off, everything was fantastic! Delicious, creative, and memorable. Some dishes even had us ordering seconds! First the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs: so creamy! We ended up ordering another plate of them (four orders) because one wasn't enough for the four of us. The Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushroom: insanely seasoned! It was crispy and the kick of the Thai chili peppers, made it our tables favorite (we ordered another plate of this)! The bits of crunch rice mixed in was also a pleasant surprise. The bits of green beans and cucumber was a nice way to cool the kick of the spices. The Slow-braised Bison Cheek: It was very interesting. Very soft and when paired with the polenta cake, mozzarella, and carrot, it tasted amazing. Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish): Also very interesting. It tastes very similar to a Vietnamese catfish soup! The pineapple fish sauce paired amazing with the glass noodles. The only complaint I have about this dish, was that the glass noodles weren't fully cooked, so they were a bit hard. The Wood-fired Bavette Steak: My god, this was amazing! It was perfectly cooked, the dark chocolate bordelaise paired with the mushrooms and steak was incredible. Like I said, everything was amazing! Our table was blown away with the creativity and quality of the food. The service was amazing, everyone was very sweet and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely and quirky. It was fun spotting all the duck decorations. Honestly, cannot rave enough about this place, I look forward to the next time I visit!

Flat iron steak sandwich I loved the seasoning and how light pink yummy it was. Flourless chocolate cake We ended up taking the desserts home because we were too full. We quite literally came here straight from the airport. To make matters worse, we had not eaten anything substantial all day and had actually looked this restaurant up weeks before our trip while researching places to eat the infamous Wisconsin fish fry, so we were really looking forward to the experience. The experience started off poorly when our party was essentially scolded by the hostess for sitting at a table that apparently needed to be cleaned for the wait list. To make matters worse, the busser laughed and joked that we were "in trouble," to which I could only respond, "Sounds like it." Not exactly the welcoming atmosphere you'd hope for as a first time visitor. The fish fry was decent our tab came out to $150 for 5 people, but the service was absolutely subpar and our tip reflected that. What made this dish so special was the generous mound of shaved Gran Moravia piled on top, complemented by lemon breadcrumbs. The combination and texture was so fun to eat. The Lobster Pot Pie is offered at market price ($55 when I went). They give you generous chunks of butter-poached lobster tails, seasonal vegetables, lobster cream in their truffle puff pastry. The Ora King Salmon was also delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly--light and moist. I enjoyed the black garlic gnocchi and the apple gastrique that came with this dish. I ended the night with their chai banana caramel creme brulee. I'll definitely be back for their happy hour and that Kale Cashew Caesar!

Rather disappointing. My husbands haddock was beautiful!! I didn't get a picture of it because he dived into it so quickly!!

The waitstaff will walk you through how that works your first time. We started with some of the taste & share plates - showing off WI cheese to the out of towners - and then a few people shared some gnocchi and beef tartare while a couple people got burgers. We had maybe 4 bites leftover, and no room for dessert, it was a personal victory. I'm sad I didn't get photos because I love the feel of each unique area that's here. The restaurant is bigger than you think because it's subdivided into smaller rooms. We had a group of 7 for a work event (which meant I kept my phone put away) and were in a cozy little nook in the back by ourselves, I'd never even noticed this little spot. What a fantastic time we had!

It's a great environment with a lot of good drink options. I always opt for the Parker rolls which are tasty but again expensive for the amount you get, I typically order the trout (which until coming here I didn't realize was essentially the same as salmon). It's very good and the potato pancake is a nice touch. Over my visits I've also enjoyed trying the short rib gnocchi, butter chicken, and brussels. They also have a small party room which I have attended an event in before which is always a nice touch. It's secluded and of course much quieter than their main dining area which can get pretty loud!
