Amazing dinner! All the food was great and it was made better by amazing staff. The building is beautiful- so much cream city brick.

    Charcuterie and cheese board

My wife and I enjoyed our recent visit here on a Friday evening. Drinks at the bar were a good start, with a friendly team assisting us (Sami). The variety of crafted cocktails was good for pretty much all tastes, and the different Old Fashioned's (Wisconsin Bourbon best the top) hit. Charcuterie and cheese board was a great appetizer-with crostini and tasty mustard and jam. The crab cake appetizer was tasty as well.

When in Wisconsin, you gotta do Wisconsin. A Wisconsin Old Fashioned, that is. I was unaware this was a thing! It was tasty. And, of course, you gotta get some fried cheese curds with ranch. Like, that might actually be a requirement by law for all Wisconsin visitors. Our server was great. Very knowledgeable about the cocktails and spirits. Checked on us often. Didn't rush us. Even gave us a free sample of a local cherry vodka. They have a happy hour menu with some good cocktail and food deals. It's a nice vibe and atmosphere. Not too loud. Not too crowded. Nice industrial ambiance. I left a fan. Will be returning next time I'm in town.

Love the rooftop patio. We got a beer and an old fashioned. During happy hour everything was super cheap. $5 old wisconsin fashions! The people working behind the bar didn't seem happy to be there, but we didn't let that kill the vibe. Overall great time.

I started off with the Coco Loco. It was deliciousness in a cup. Just paradise sip by sip. It barely tasted like alcohol. Then we got chorizo stuffed dates wrapped in bacon. It's so savory and sweet. I love dates chorizo and bacon so this was the appetizer for me. I loved the citrusy salad too. Last time I was here I had chorizo burger for brunch. So for lunch, I had a smash burger and it was worth it. The pickles were sooo refreshing. I feel like they tasted so much like dill. We got garlic aioli with our fries and it was sooo good. I think they have a sample every day. We got to try the cherry vodka! I think it would taste so good in a cocktail.

We had a wonderful experience at Central standard craft house. We stopped in here before we went to an event in the Milwaukee area. To our surprise, it was happy hour on drinks and apps which included $5 old fashioned's....say less!! We each got two old-fashioneds and we tried it with bourbon sweet and bourbon sour and then Brandy sweet and Brandy sour. I preferred the sour version with Brandy! We also got the gluten-free cheese curds, which were amazing and it's not common to find gluten-free options in this. Also tried the brat board and the hanger steak. Overall we were pleased with the service, drinks, foos and vibes of this place. Would recommend!

Thanks to Yelp we decided to get some girl dinner here for our last night in Milwaukee. This is a block away from the Milwaukee Public Market and definitely the place to be for happy hour. Huge dining room, full bar, nice lounge area and some cute merch too. Great menu for apps, cocktails, & bevs. We got the cheese curds (had to!), big pretzel with cheese sauce & aioli, fries and garlic aioli, and the BRAT BOARD - selection of brats with pickled pairings, it was sooo good! The cheese curds were also my favorite. I love that they highlight all the local vendors they use for their food. For those who love their beers & spirits, they pride themselves in making everything in small batches and locally distilled. Our server, Corbin, was awesome. Gave us some tips on where to go for the rest of our stay here. Overall, great food, cheap (coming from CA) and excellent service. Highly recommend.

Still a fan of Crafthouse! Since my first review here a number of years ago, I've been back several times. I've been here for events including a wedding as well as dinner and brunch. Every time we've been here, the service has been great! Most recently I was here on New Year's Day for brunch. I got a mimosa, my sister got a Bloody Mary. I ordered the breakfast hash and she did an omelette and got hashbrowns, adding cheese to them. She enjoyed her food, I liked my breakfast hash. It's one of my go to items on the brunch menu. Brunch was the perfect start to the New Year. Looking forward to more visits here throughout the year.

We tried Central Standard on a Monday afternoon around lunchtime. We walked right in and it was empty. I was so appreciative because I had to eat quickly and go back to work and everything was served very timely. We started with the ginger tonic mocktail and grass is greener which were both perfectly sweet and refreshing. My husband ordered the fish fry and he enjoyed! His only complaint was the fish was a little soggy at the bottom, likely due to the heat. I ordered the vegan chili and the bahn mi chicken wrap. The chili was perfect for the cold rainy day with a slight kick to it, while the wrap was a unique set of flavors (the sauce gave it the perfect amount of kick). I'm dying to come back and try some of their other options!

Absolutely adore this place. Great drinks, great food, and great atmosphere. Food is fabulous from brunch to dinner. Personally love the steak entree for dinner and the old fashioned French toast for brunch (SUPER UNIQUE). The service is always great. I held a graduation dinner here and it was so easy to book the private room for a large group. Totally recommend this place if you visit MKE!

Really loved the food here. Great service. Love the original old fashions they are really delicious. The decor is very clean and I love the amount of wood accents. Love the building it's in too. Had the filet and the flavor was really good. My friend had the pork chop he enjoyed it. Overall so delicious. Fried Cheese curds here are perfectly cooked. Wish I could go back.

    Beet The Heat

Walked in here for a quick cocktail on a Sunday afternoon, and it was fairly quiet with plenty of seating available. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was attentive and quick with our orders. The drink menu offered a lot of unique and creative options, including non-alcoholic choices. I ordered the Beet The Heat, made with triple pepper infused vodka. While there was a hint of spice, but it wasn't overwhelming. The beet juice too was not overly strong. All in all, the flavors were interesting and delicious. This is a great spot to explore and expand your pallet, all while enjoying the open and bright cozy space.

Service was amazing!! We had the cheese curds, truffle fries- must get. Summer cocktail menu is great- highly recommend. We also had the Italian chopped salad and chicken piccata. They have a roof top deck with great views of the lake and MKE for an after dinner cocktail.

I tried the Dreamsicle which was DELICIOUS!!! My boyfriend tried the Gin & Roses which was very good as well and refreshing. We shared the Lavender Bees Knees Slushy! That was the best! Such incredible flavor!!! Kevin was our bartender and also our tour guide for the distillery tour. He was funny and very informative. The history of Milwaukee and growth of the business was really interesting. We enjoyed seeing the distillery and learning and the process. I saw a couple of barrels I am excited to try in the future!! Grape Brandy and Cherry Brandy! At the end of the tour we had a tasting. My favorites were Honey Lemon Vodka, Gin, Cranberry Liqueur, and the Coffee Liqueur. I do not enjoy Bourbons and Rye Whiskey but I will say that the Bond Bourbon was smooth. This was a fun experience and I highly recommend giving this place a visit! I know we will come back again! For Christmas Gifts, or to try more of the fantastic drinks! Oh and to try the future Grape and Cherry Brandy. And we also heard there is a comedy night, so we will look out for Cask Comedy events in the future. Thanks Kevin!

Good but expensive…read more I am in beer city USA and found this distillery to be quite expensive. They let you sample all of their products for $1 each, or if you buy a bottle the samples are free (as of May 2026). We tried the whiskies, ryes, and bourbons. All were good, but not worth $70 a bottle for what we wanted. They do have sales and some better priced products. However, I was shocked that the bourbon I liked ended up being $70 a bottle. I've had lots of bourbon in my day and I don't think it's worth $70 a bottle. Another one I liked was $50 a bottle which I also think is quite high for the flavor profile and burn. If you want to have fun and sample a bunch, then give it a shot. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here unless it's in my route. It was good just not great for the price. They also sell pre mixed drinks that were super sugary and not very flavorful.

It was apparently over 100 degrees in there so they weren't talking anyone in on the day of our visit. Our tour guides were very good. They did an excellent job. Be forewarned that you must pre register online to take the tour and it's $20 for adults. At the gift shop/visitor center there is plenty of free parking. About 25% of the tour is outdoors but that is mainly walking from the visitor center to the various buildings you visit. The tour takes about 80 minutes. My your started at 3 pm and had about 25 people in it given by two tour guides. They told us that the entire campus encompasses 78 acres. The tour covers walking through 3 or 4 buildings that show the brewing and packaging process which was interesting to see. It's impressive how much beer they make here everyday and all of the brands they support. We also went into the old cave room where beer barrels were stored before refrigeration to keep the brew cool. That room had a beautiful mural in one wall. I enjoyed this tour and recommend it. Also each adult is given 3 beer samples of about 4 oz each. I picked Blue Moon, Hamm's and Miller High Life.
