AWFUL!!! I would never recommend or refer this company to my worst enemy!!! Let it be known, I have NEVER written a negative review. I am a firm believer of giving credit where credit is due. We live in a world where people are quick to criticize and our situation warrants warning others of this horribly run company. The worst part is we dealt with the owner of the company, Troy. Unfortunately too late, I have read MANY negative reviews on this company and our family found ourselves in the exact same situation as so many of the negative reviews. Mostly involved families not having an initial choice as Centurion Plumbing was assigned by our home warranty company. Please do yourself a favor and read the multiple negative reviews on this company before proceeding with them. I am quite surprised there aren't more. It seems any positive review doesn't involve the home warranties. A terrible way to run a company and I would expect more given that Troy, the owner, knew there were small children in our home and still left us high and dry. No one from their company ever stepped foot in our home. They instead called to inquire the model number and assured us they would order the part because "I've been in this business for over 30 years and it's only one of two things that could be wrong." (Initially, we were reassured by this). I appreciated what seemed like an efficient company...they assured us the part would arrive in 3-5 days. Only to be strung along...for days and days and days. Eventually weeks!! So I notified Troy I was concerned since I have read multiple negative reviews and I explained I felt like I was getting strung along. Immediately he took a defensive stance and said he would have our job reassigned through the warranty company. (How about as an owner of the company you do all that you can to provide excellent customer service and prove all those negative reviews wrong?!?). I promptly expressed my concern of not having the ability time-wise for it to be reassigned. He then proceeded to tell me he was doing the best he could and that I would be the first to know when the part arrived from his wholesaler. ...two days later (now TWO WEEKS since they were assigned our job) I inquire for another update on our part arrival and I get a measly text saying he requested our job be reassigned because "you told me you felt like you were getting the runaround." **Of note, his latest communication to me said I would be the first to know when the part arrived. I would encourage anyone that is assigned this company to immediately request to be reassigned by your home warranty. Save yourself an immense hassle!!!!!!! My family, with small children, spent WAY TOO LONG without any hot water in the middle of a pandemic where the need to properly disinfect and sanitize was crucial. Whatever you do in life... please avoid this place! I wish I could rate zeros stars, because they did not complete the job we requested them to do. It began in November when I contacted American Home Shield to have our faucet repaired. They assigned Centurian and after the first appointment was not kept it was rescheduled and they came out to our home. They stated it was unrepairable . They stated that once a new faucet was obtained they would return to install. The faucet was received the next day, and this began the ignoring of phone calls and text messages. This place/company if you choose to call it, failed to respond and even acknowledge the flood of messages that both myself and spouse gave in attempt to have our job completed. When appointments were set, they were not kept on numerous occasions and no phone call was given to reschedule. Worst contractors I have ever dealt with. These guys came to replace a component in our house, 3 months later it came loose and flooded part of my house. When talking to them I heard "we always guarantee our work and will definitely take care of it". Fast forward here I am paying someone else to come back and do it the right way. Dont buy the veteran friendly angle, I am a vet and they not only left me high and dry, but literally wont even answer the phone, return calls or texts. Was assigned Centurion Plumbing for a home warranty service request on a Thursday. They never called. Called the phone number provided for Centurion with no response. Texted as his voicemail says for faster reply please text. No reply. Called the home warranty company on the following Monday to have them re-assign. They called him and he did not answer. Home warranty company said we had to give them 24 hours before they would re-assign the plumbing repair. Finally after calling the home warranty company on the Tuesday they re-assigned to a plumbing company that would come within 3 days. Terrible way to run a business. Had a really positive experience with Centurion. Bathtub kept backing up and we couldn't determine the source. Centurion plumber showed up and was able to figure the problem and clear the blockage. They communicated their timeline/schedule pretty regularly so we that we could minimize the disruption to our normal daily schedule (kid pick ups/drop offs, etc). NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS PLUMBER! We had one of the worst business experiences and want to save anyone else from going through what we did. We began this job in June and were told the job would be completed in July and then were strung along with excuses for more months. In October we were told we would have our gas line in and job completed in time for Thanksgiving. He said he would show up, but wouldn't, he hired our handyman to do part of the job, but never paid him, he kept making excuses for why the permit was delayed, when in fact no permit was ever pulled. We made the mistake of putting down a deposit, but when the job was nowhere closer to completion (after 5 months ) we called in a new plumbing company, the new job and the permit was completed in 3 days. This company is a joke. American Home Shield sent him to our home to diagnose a problem that no one could figure out. He was in our hone for two hours and supposed to submit a report. 10 days later we are still waiting for that report. He neither responds to their phone calls or emails. We just want our hot water recirculating pump turned back on and working properly. read more

I had an issue with my sink and garbage disposal not draining and regurgitating the food. I had a friend come over and he emptied the p trap. Issue was still there. I sent a request in through my home warranty company and Troy with Centurion Plumbing was assigned to my case. I got in touch with Troy and he said he would come out the next day between 8-12 (wasn't an emergency so I was good with that). He was very timely, friendly and got the job done quickly. Took the money and ran! Sent by my home warranty to repair a fairly routine issue. Zack was in our home for a few minutes. Took our service fee and said he'd have to order a part (it's a common part) and he'd get back to us. Never heard from him again. Turns out he told our home warranty we damaged the item by using force. That's not what happened and not what we said. The home warranty wouldn't cover the repair because of what was submitted by Zack. I tried to get Centurion to correct their mistake and was hassled even more. Very unprofessional. Thank you Troy and son for the replacement of my hot water line. I would highly recommend this plumbing company and will use them again should the need present. Troy, the owner responded to my call immediately and did the repair honestly. I called him after another plumber tried to tell me my hot water heater needed replaced and also tried to upsell a vent (extra 600.00)that wasn't needed. The warranty company assigned Centurion Plumbing to fix a leaking valve to the dishwasher under the sink. Troy came out and took a picture of it and said he had to get authorization from the warranty company to do the repair. After 2 days I texted him and he said he was still waiting for the authorization. I contacted him again the next day and he said he would contact the warranty company after lunch. When I didn't hear from him after another 2 days went by, I called the warranty company and they reassigned the job to another plumber. The new company called me right away to schedule an appointment, the plumber came the next day and replaced the leaking valve in 10 minutes. read more

Centurion Plumbing is wonderful! We had only been in our house for 2 1/2 weeks when the bathtub started filling up with junk from our kitchen sink... Gross!! We are so thankful American Home Shield Warranty Company listed Centurion Plumbing as a provider! Zach came the same day and diagnosed the problem, a faulty back water flow valve in our front yard. sigh. Unfortunately, American Home Shield wont cover anything "outside the foundation of the home"... Grrrr. But that is hardly the plumber's fault! They gave us a VERY reasonable quote, assembled a team, and returned the next morning to dig a giant hole in the ground in order to access and replace the valve. Troy taught me how our new plumbing is laid out, and where the problem occurred. He also showed me the cheap/rubberized/ faulty valve, and the new (much better quality) plastic valve that will not break down over time like the old one did. Don't let the grumpy American Home Shield reviews deter you from Centurion Plumbing. Don't get me wrong, I'm grumpy too... just with American Home Shield for not covering the expense. (in fact, all the negative reviews seem to be American Home Shield Warranty people. Let's point the blame in the right place.) Troy, Zach and their team are GOOD, honest, kind people! Troy was sent out from my home warranty company but I would easily refer him or request him again. They called within an hour of requesting service, and scheduled me same day. Troy and Zach were very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. They fixed the issue in a timely manor with care to detail and also provided me with knowledge for the future. Centurion is an outstanding, excellent plumbing company led by its owner Troy and his son Zach. They both take pride in doing the job, and they go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. After having one company sent by AHS to fix sewer stoppage, the tech left without fixing it, blaming and suggesting things not related to the real issue. He just (talked, zero knowledge and non competent). Then we got Centurion, and Troy was able to get the job done within half an hour without stress, but rather with smile. Now everything is back to normal in the house, Troy was confident from the minute he walked in to our property, and he assured me: Everything will be fine after seeing me disturbed about the whole mess. It took Troy 10 days to repair a leak beneath the floor where the washer & dryer rest. He never came back to replace the appliances. The floor was left with such a slope that once we wrestled the appliances back in, we couldn't level them. Despite several appointments, the job is still incomplete. He made statements to our home warranty people that were wholly false and untrue. We are now stuck having to get a contractor to repair Troy's damage. Thanks a heap, Troy! Well, after two months of our back & forth with the home warranty company, theirs with Troy, we finally dragged out the washer & dryer and got the floor repaired. May be the worst experience i ever had. i don't complain publicly as i give the company first shot at responding.never heard back. water drained from my hot tub one night. They came and said:'there's a leak somewhere.it would cost alot to demo and find the leak. i'd suggest taking it out.' he never turned on any equipment!!! Was there maybe 5 minutes. Yesterday, a friend came by. We used a leak detector. no leak. We shut everything down, cleaned filters, open and closed drains, skimmer valves etc. Tightened all knobs. Turned it on and heard a whooshing of debris being cleaned out through the system and the pool has stayed full for over 24 hrs without a problem, heater working, filter basket filled to top with water and the pressure is the highest it's ever been. these guys suggested demo and never bothered to do any of the things. I would have appreciated a call back on my complaint but never did so i'm making my dissatisfaction public. read more

These people have ruined my Saturday 3x in a row. The first time he showed up late after giving us a 4HOUR window, then claimed he would be back with a new faucet next Saturday. Next Saturday? Due to some miscommunications and busy schedules he wasn't able to come out and finish the work, but refunded for the work that couldn't be done. We have had a Bradford White Gas Water Heaters in our home and it malfunctioned, as the control unit failed. We called our home warranty company, American Home Shield and they dispatched Centurion Plumbing located at 308 West Pinte Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85027, with a telephone number of (602) 909-5682 and the owner's name is Troy. Troy came to our home to inspect the water heater. Troy inspected the water heater and stated that the control unit was bad and stated that he would try to find the part and then replace it. He never mentioned anything else about the water heater. We were then informed, by the warranty company, the claim is not covered, as the unit was not properly vented. Troy had allegedly informed the Warranty Company that we needed two (2) vents in the door of the water heater closet, even though there is a vent in the bottom of the door and one in the ceiling of the closet, which caused the malfunction. We were informed that Troy stated that the lack of proper ventilation for the unit caused the control unit to fail. When we contacted Troy, he first stated that the venting requirements he stated were local plumbing code, then US Plumbing code, then finally international plumbing code. Troy kept changing his story when we confronted his outright lies. Troy stated that the Bradford White Water Heater had an inherent problem, that is well documented, for control unit failure due to poor ventilation. We called the Bradford White Company and spoke with a technician, who advised that Troy's information was false. We called another plumber, not associated with American Home Shield Warranty Company and he reset the control Unit and the Water Heater functioned correctly. He inspected the unit and the water heater closet and stated that it met all applicable codes, and did not require two (2) vents within the door. We will not utilize or recommend Centurion Plumbing, Beware if they are dispatched to you! read more

Centurion plumbing was dispatched through my home warranty company. They came and evaluated the plumbing issue at hand and then closed the ticket with the home warranty company. We discussed the cost of replacing the water heater and I requested a written estimate for this service. Was told the office would be sending over service estimates to my email, never received, requested 6 different times to 2 separate phone numbers. Initially I got a response that they will be providing this information, but it was never delivered and I didn't receive a response to multiple follow up inquiries spread throughout 3 weeks. Methods used included texting, calling, and filling out the contact form on their website. It appears they only wanted the revenue from the home warranty company and never had the intention of following up with additional service estimates. Terrible communication and huge waste of time, extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism. read more

We submitted a claim to our home insurance and they sent out a terrible plumber that literally talked for ten minutes and said he didn't have a long enough snake so he literally did nothing. Our insurance sent out Troy on the second attempt and opened up the drain in less than a hour. Completely professional and a nice guy. Also cleaned up after themselves and would have these guys back to do the rest of our work. read more

He is the only one that actually took the time to address and resolve the issue. He truly cared about my home, my kids and my pets that this issue was affecting. Similar to another reviewer we had a crisis. Hot water heater was leaking and shut off valve was not working so we went beyond no hot water to no water period. Warranty company expedited to Troy and Troy made it happen so that we had a hot water heater the same day. Those who use warranty companies know this is not the norm. I used centurion as part of my home warranty. The technician spent maybe 5 minutes at my home, took my money, told me he had to order parts and then left. One week later I called him, he said he was getting the parts. The next week he doesn't answer my calls, or call me back when I left a message. I had the Home warranty company contact him as well. At this point he LIES and says he cant get the parts "because they are commercial grade". TOTAL BS. One minute on google for flushmaster m-101526-f3 shows plenty of vendors with the part in stock and ready to ship. It took Troy 28 days to respond to the warranty company, he never responded to me. Troy and his team are not only experts at the dreaded slab leak, they make it easy for you to deal with all the peripheral issues like the right contractor to put everything back to the way it was, dealing with insurance companies and dealing with home warranties. He shows your the details, makes certain you are well looked after and recommends strong but cost saving preventative measures for going forward. I couldn't have been happier. He and his team are super easy to deal with, nice, neat and caring. When the slab leak first appeared I was in total dread of what I would be facing. Now that the work is done, I am in total relief! I could go on and on about Troy and his team that helped us through our mini-emergency we just had this last weekend. Our sewer issues began on Friday and by Saturday I was calling the home warranty company- I got a huge run around and they referred us to a company out in Gilbert (we live in central Phoenix). That first company didn't even want to call or talk with me on the phone until "the next business day..." We called the home warranty back and after an hour of waiting and fighting for a different company to be called- Centurion Plumbing was called. Troy is the owner and he is the one that got the call while he was out shopping at 6:30pm Saturday for his wife. We ended up calling him directly and told him the home warranty company gave us his number, he said he could be out to our house within an HOUR and just had to run home first! We were thrilled and in awe that he would give up his Saturday night for us, but we were SO THANKFUL. Troy showed up and saved the day- literally. :) He is super friendly, a veteran, a hard-worker and just an honest dude. He was here for a short time on Saturday and then told us he would have to scope the pipes and possibly dig up the lines to redo and fix the mainline. He explained everything he was going to do and warned us of the worse possible scenario but was also generous in giving us the best possible deal he could. Troy moved his schedule around- worked on a house that was scheduled for Monday morning, on Sunday instead, so that he could be here at our place Monday morning and get the job done. Come Monday, he was here... like he said he would be. He finished the job with his son by the end of the day Monday and we have running water and I can use my dishwasher again- yipppeeee. Call Centurion if you have an emergency or if you want some honest cool dude to fix your issues. You won't regret it. :) read more
