Better yet how about a Private Watch Party in a theater all to ourselves...that's right Century Summit Sierra now offer for up to 20 people different movie titles the ENTIRE theater for you, your family & friends - woohooo!! We were EXCITED to celebrate a birthday by watching Monty Python Holy Grail with 20 of us in our veryy own theater!! Talk about easy breezy as we arrived at Century Summit we let the usher at the door know that we were there for the name of the birthday Private Watch Party as our name was on the list. We met up with the rest of our group to say our hellos, wish happy birthday and then made our way over to the concession stand. The staff at Century Summit was friendly, kind and helpful as we made our selections at the concession stand. They had the various selections from popcorn, candy, ice cream, soda, H2O, churros, pretzel w/cheese, pizza, Icees...well you get the idea (insert snack overload emoji anddd this gal is happyyy) Seats inside the theater we recliners, roomy and comfy - woo-hoo!! This gal was feeling like she was curled up at home for a movie night on her couch with her hubby and settled in with snacky snacks over-abundance to enjoy the Holy Grail of Monty Python with the fambam birthday celebration - LET'S DO THIS!! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening out!! Would definitely do another Private Watch Party again with the ticket price at $99 to $149 for 20 peeps depending on which movie you choose being an AWESOME way to experience the movie theater outing with fambam & friends! Century Summit for us, we have been treated by the staff as I said above friendly, kind and helpful...we did notice on our way out of the theater that the trash was overflowing and had to bring ours out of the theater - not a huge deal. For me I am one of those peeps that ALWAYS carry my stuff out after the movie is over, so maybe have the trash ONLY on the outside of the theater instead of inside...just my thought for today so that it is not overflowing. Other than that bathrooms were clean, concession stand had GREAT snack options and again staff friendly, kind and helpful. FUN movie night out!! read more

Movie prices are what they are. So this is off service and cleanliness. Theaters and rest rooms are 8/10. Service is normally pretty good unless there was a mistake made on there end. Then it goes south quick. Just very little accountability from the team. Arcade is just so so, it's ok to waist some time in before the movie. read more

So I really like the upgraded theater experience. But I hate the change in advertisements. I mean you pay $10 for a seat and arrive a little early to see the previews. And get stuck watching I enjoy the previews almost as much as the movie. 40 straight minutes of ads. The movie was scheduled for 6:15 and began at 6:39 If we want to arrive at movie time, we have to guarantee our seats online for a 'convenience' fee. Or arrive way early and waste and hour or two. So yeah, not gonna be going to the movies often now. Very comfortable, a bit pricey. I do like having a beer or two. But I really won't stand for the inundation of ads that are forced on my family. Not on a soap box but people put up with it, so they keep dong it. We are desensitized to ads in Every aspect of our lives. read more

The main reason we like this movie theater is because it has luxury recliner seating. You can put your feet up and lean back almost like you are at home. The staff are friendly and helpful and the theaters are usually very clean. The areas that do need some attention are the restrooms. More frequent cleaning would help make the experience at this theater more pleasant. read more

I picked up a couple move tickets from Costco, so we decided to find a movie to check out with the boy before the summer ended. We decided on Crawl at the Summit because it's one of the closer theaters to us. You have to reserve your seats as it has the luxury lounger seating. Even though that type of commitment scares me (lol), it was also reassuring knowing you didn't need to stumble around in the dark looking for a set of seats for your group. This would be more relevant on a Friday night versus a Tuesday afternoon though. Once there, I realized a couple rows closer were actually a better view, so as it was an early afternoon on a Tuesday, we decided to take our chances that no one had reserved our newly claimed seats. We found Row F center to be the best. Every row of loungers is more than generous with the elbow and leg room. The seats are comfy but they either didn't recline or I couldn't find the button to do so, so my somewhat short legs kind of dangled off the edge. Still a lot better than most theaters I've been too. If you go on Tuesday's, you're in for a great deal. All movies just $5.50, compared to over $11 on the weekends. We brought our own movie treats (shhh...) but bought a coke, an Icee, a small popcorn, and a pretzel bites which came out to just over $20. No surprise there... Overall, a pleasant experience for someone who generally doesn't find the value in going to the theaters unless it's a visually epic movie. In addition, The Summit is an outdoor mall so you can shop before or after and/or grab lunch or dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. Enjoy! read more

Finally getting out to the theaters again after such a long time thanks to COVID. My friend and I decided we needed to get back into the theaters since we both love going to the movies. We decide Century Summit and so happy we did. Buying the tickets online was super easy, the facility was very clean, the guy at the check out register for snacks was super friendly. After  getting inside and finding our seat we were happy to see that they kept the seats right next to us empty so we felt pretty safe sitting there. My popcorn tasted pretty fresh, our seats and the floors seemed pretty clean. The only downfall was they do not accept any cash. So if you go make sure you bring a card or you wont be able to get any snacks from the snack bar. So go, enjoy the movie and have fun. read more

Wow! This placed has let itself GO! I didn't even want to stay to watch the movie its was so gross in the theater. The chairs were sticky, mold in the cup holders. I was here prior to Covid taking off. Unfortunately, movie theaters have become one of the major casualties of this and it will be interesting to see what comes of them once we have moved on from this. That being said, if you're still willing to go to a theater, this particular one would be a good choice. We came to see the movie, "Just Mercy" (an amazing movie, by the way), and I was pleased to see they've upgraded their seats to the bigger cushy ones that come with a rising foot rest. Since going to theaters with this feature for the last 5 years now, there's no way I'm ever going back to those old, uncomfortable torture racks. One thing I was disappointed by was the lack of cleanliness, though. You'd expect to see some popcorn on the floor of a theatre but this was horrendous. It was like there wasn't any cleaning done in between showings. This has me particularly concerned with going back considering everything going on right now. Aside from that, it was a good experience. So we'll see how this all plays out and if people are willing to go back to the movies. read more

My favorite movie theater in the Reno-Sparks area. The Summit is a luxury theater, it has recliners, and a person can buy an adult beverage to enjoy during their movie as well. Of course, if you are 21 or older. Buy tickets in advance via the app reserve your seat(s) and skip the lines. Their snack variety is second to none, and they serve kettle corn! The staff is fantastic; they always go above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. Kettle corn wasn't ready, and the manager wrote down the movie I was watching and my seat, and brought the kettle corn to me when it was done. Nice and warm. I was able to buy advance tickets for a Fathom Event "Come Out in the name of Jesus" that was simultaneously shown in 2000 theaters in the USA. Immediately after the credits rolled Pastor Greg Locke did a live video "deliverance prayer" over all 2000 theaters... Very unique... a first!!! read more

Who runs this place? showed up hungry and prepared to spend on overpriced food. Ordered a hot dog and pretzels. Neither are available. are they out? Nope, they just didn't bother cooking any. Manager or supervisor right there too, doesn't care. Mind-boggling. ordered popcorn and 2 sodas as well, at least they had that. Get to our seats. Popcorn is 100% from at least the day before. they didn't even bother heating it up lol. It was cold to the touch (yes COLD) and totally stale. Pretty bad experience. And we pass 2 other Century theaters to get there, but we like the nicer seats at Summit. Going to be rethinking that decision from now on. Get your act together read more

This weekend was a back to back Marvel weekend. Last night (5/18/18) we watched Avengers Infinity War and tonight, Deadpool 2. Both movies exceeded expectations. But this review isn't for the movies; although I highly recommend seeing them both if you haven't already. When you first walk through the doors, the first thing I noticed was the concession area straight ahead. To purchase movie tickets, head to your immediate right and you'll see the ticket counter. However now and days it's so easy to purchase tickets online we just bypass it. Not to mention when purchasing tickets online, it's so easy and efficient to pick your seats. You don't have to worry about not getting a good seat. I also love their recliner seats. Big, spacious, and absolutely comfortable. I'm not very picky when it comes to the theatre, but I've taken a great liking to Century Summit Sierra. read more

Wow this is the first time I actually had to pick our seats when I bought our tickets. Very cool. I was stoked to see the recliner seating. They were exactly what I thought they would be and that was amazing! I don't really like going to movie theaters much anymore because I always seem to get the annoying person talking, chewing or kicking my seat... but I had to go see Quention Tarantino's latest masterpiece. The theater has those killer reclining seats with plenty of space between the rows in front and behind you. Super tricked out! The recliners are really very comfortable and have adjustments for your head and legs. They have the usual variety of snacks and drinks. We went on super saver Tuesday which was nice. It had at least 10-15 theaters which was great. This will be my go-to place for movies! This theater is located in a great mall with great shopping and eateries. read more

My son and I decided to go see a movie while in Reno on a little mini vacation during his spring break. They have the luxury recliners which are a must nowadays when enjoying a movie. The theater was clean and the staff friendly. The theater is located right off the freeway for easy access and is located in a pretty good size shopping center with stores and restaurants around it. And this particular theater has "Adult Beverages" to help you get thru a bad movie....lol But in this case the movie, Shazam was great and better than the previews had lead me to believe. Excellent movie place. The seats are very comfy, they can recline as well. It's very spacious in here and they offer popcorn, drinks, and candy. They have an arcade and the amount of space in the theater is very good. When buying tickets avoid the front 2 rows, cause they are way close to the screen, and if your shorter than usual avoid the back two rows, because those rows have less space in between the rows and you wouldn't see as well. read more

Century Summit Sierra is a great place to watch a movie. The movie theater is always clean, fully stocked and the cinema attendants are friendly. Book online to see different time slots and seat availability. It is the least busy during the week and the most busiest during new movie releases.The reclining seats are great as you can stretch and elevate your legs. I always bring a blanket from home as the theater tends to be cold. My only wish is that they would expand their drink menu to mirror the Sparks Imax theater. This theater is just Ok. It's located in a nice shopping center that has plenty of places to go grab a bite to eat before your movie, which is awesome! We love BJ's Brewhouse and they are just walking distance to the theater. Plenty of parking available, which is always nice. We came on a Sunday to watch a 4:30 showing, and to our surprise we had to pay full price. Apparently, their matinee ends at 4:00pm. Kid prices are for ages 11 and under. Generally, kids are considered 12 and under. My son is 12, so that was a bummer to pay full price for him. This movie theater gets very busy. Tons of teenage kids. They have a super cool arcade, complete with air hockey! The snack bar prices typical for a movie theater... arm and a leg for some sour patch kids! Lol. As for the theater itself, I found the surround system to be rather weak. We sat in the back and could hardly hear the movie, so we moved up a few rows. The recliners are nice, however they don't go back as far as other theaters. Overall, it's was an Ok experience and I would go back. read more

As far as movie theaters go, this one is comfortable, safe, and easy to get to from where I live. They offer $5 movies on Tuesday nights, which is a great deal, especially for new releases. I've never had a bad experience here and I probably see a few movies per month. The staff is always really friendly with great big smiles who offer assistance when needed. Century Summit Sierra has recently upgraded their seats to comfy, spacious recliners. The only downside is that if you want good seats then you have to reserve them online and pay that darn $3 transaction fee. Or...you can risk it and go to the movies without assurance that the seats you like will be available. read more

When you review a movie theater, do you review the movie or the theater? I think it's obvious that you should review the theater, but is it possible to not be influenced by whether or not you enjoyed the movie? Personally, I think it's tough, because that's a huge part of the experience, and a good movie can make up for some shortcomings of the theater, but a bad movie can't help at all. In my case, I didn't think Sausage Party lived up to the hype. It was fun, but some of the jokes were expected, or spoiled in their promotion. So while I didn't love the movie, I did enjoy this theater. From the moment we walked through the door, everyone seemed happy to be working here. Exchanging some free ticket vouchers was straightforward, and it was great to see they had upgraded to the luxury reclining seats! A short trip to the concessions for some provisions revealed a mix and match candy by weight station! So I filled a bag with peanut M&Ms and some chocolate covered gummy bears! I can't help but feel like a kid in a candy store when I get the chance to buy from one of these! Get it? The new recliners are big and comfortable, and they actually lay back quite a ways. The armrests are also nicely padded, which is a plus in my book. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, was because the volume seemed a bit off in the theater. Too low for sure, but then possibly a bit out of balance all the way around. I want a real high quality sound experience when I go to the movies. It's one of the elements that separates watching movies at home and in the theater. I'll definitely be back! Hoping next time I'll find the sound I was looking for. read more

Argh!!!!! I'll start by saying my less than stellar experience at Century Summit is not completely the theaters fault. That being said, they could do something about it going forward if they wanted to. Prior to my Century Summit experience, the Sparks Galaxy was the only theatre i'd seen a movie in for years. I'm a big fan of the comfy recliner seats and reserved seating. Upon arrival to Century, I found the snack bar a bit confusing to navigate. They did offer a fairly extensive selection of beer and wine. Once in the theatre, I found the seats a bit uncomfortable. They were stiff and did not recline as far back as the Galaxy seats. The head rest pushed my head forward, resulting in an uncomfortable viewing postion. The big problem, terrible, selfish and annoying people. We dealt with the following: Groups having full conversations about the movie, during the movie. People taking selfies with flashes going off. People kicking the backs of the seats. And this wasn't just one group. It was at least three separate groups in different areas of the theater. Century, I suggest you take a cue from Galaxy. At a Galaxy theater, a real life usher comes in before the movie and explains the rules. Then, shockingly, they actually hold people accountable, escorting them out of the movie when the above mentioned behavior rears it's ugly head. Result - pleasant movie experience because folks know not to behave badly in a Galaxy theater. I wish you luck Century, but I won't be back until the Yelp reviews tell me you've fixed these problems... read more

I took my daughters to see little mermaid on Sunday afternoon. The entire theater was dirty and gross. The woman's bathrooms had not been cleaned and smelled like piss, the hallways had popcorn and trash all over the floor and the theater wasn't cleaned. There was melted chocolate on the seats and napkins and food in the cup holder as well as popcorn and trash on the floor. Also one of the chairs didn't recline. read more

Pretty bad experience to be honest. The seat and movie were fine but snacks were outrageous. None of their combos have listed prices and their menu is vague like "candy $5-$8". This allows them to charge you what they want after the fact. My friend and I both got small popcorns but were charged $3 more for medium popcorns. Her bag of M&Ms was $8! My bag of trolly gummy worms was $5 after I asked the guy how much it was supposed to be. For each of us to get a water, small popcorns, and small candy item it was $20. I guess this is how they make their money with their standard tickets being $15. After the movie my friend and I were too tired to go fight for our $3 after being charged for medium popcorns. I would say bring your own snacks but I don't know if that's allowed. All the people were pretty grumpy too and my friend's popcorn was so wet with butter half of it was practically inedible. At the very least they need to update their menu prices so people know the cost when they pick something. They probably leave it off so they can up charge you more without you knowing. read more

I booked the theater for a watch party for my work team. $99 for an older movie is a great deal for 20 people... I also ordered popcorn and candy and when we got there, we all got drinks and other snacks with a significant discount. The theater was clean, we felt safe and distanced and the staff could not have been nicer. What a fun way to still go to the movies, but feel confident in your viewing experience in these uncertain times! read more

Try and get a refund because family is sick. Online and customer support robs you of $2 a ticket for "online fees". Zero exceptions per the customer support lady on the phone. I had been here at least once before when visiting Reno. It's a pleasantly comfortable theater. The seating is top-notch comfort! The audio and visual in the theater is superb. The staff were friendly and welcoming both at the box office and the concessions. I didn't have time to for lunch before our 1:30 showtime, so I had the 1/4 lb. all beef hot dog and popcorn. The dog was quite good! The only complaint, and hence only four star rating, was the popcorn had way too many crumbs, about a quarter of the bucket of a large size tub. Quite ridiculous actually. I would have gone and complained, but my film had started and I didn't care to miss any of it. Other than that it was good to be at the movies again. read more

We used to drive to Sparks to see movies at the Galaxy Legends so that we could choose our seats when we purchased tickets and enjoy the plush seats. But now this Cinemark has reserved seating and fancy reclining seats! And they also serve beer and wine, which is another plus. Note that they do not sell liquor, so the frozen margaritas have wine rather than tequila in them. Super thanks to the employee who gave me a heads up about that fact. It cost me approximately $10 for a 9 oz pour of cabernet sauvignon, which is reasonable as far as movie theater prices go. Our movie tickets were $8 each for a Sunday matinee, but I donate blood regularly and had donated enough times to earn free movie tickets. Redeeming my voucher was easy peasy. I like that many of the theaters are smaller have fewer chairs in them than at Galaxy Legends, which means there are fewer fellow moviegoers who may annoy me. I am a stickler about no bright screens, no talking, and no loud eating, and the folks at this theater have thankfully never done me wrong. That the rows are so far apart helps tremendously. My husband and I saw Black Panther on a Sunday afternoon, and I could barely hear the children sitting further up who were having a hard time sitting still. The employees who work here are very friendly, and no one has ever asked to look what is in my purse. (Answer: SNACKS!) Sometimes the women's bathrooms are in disarray, but it takes a lot of effort to keep movie theater bathroom spotless. Today, the bathrooms had a lot of toilet paper and toilet cover scraps on the floor, but the bathrooms weren't dirty apart from that. read more

We like this theater because there's rarely anybody there, but it could use some help. There was nobody in the auditorium for the movie before us, but there was still popcorn and such on the seats and floor. The hot dogs that we usually like were lukewarm and the buns were so soggy, you couldn't even open them to put on condiments without them ripping. The popcorn, while they were popping fresh, was all kernels and hard. Definitely didn't get the fresh. Why make it unless people are coming? It's been a few years and the last few years i've tried to avoid this theatre. Another local place has captured my heart and makes me drive to Sparks instead of (literally) down the street. This past week I was forced to chose this theatre to see a movie that I had missed at other theaters and times I could have chosen instead. We walked in about 10 minutes before the movie and noticed one complete side blocked off with construction signs. I thought that was odd. (insider tip - I later came to find out it was because they are doing a remodel but wait for the big reveal in a few sentences). We made it to the register and asked for two tickets to the show and were told to chose our seats. Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? Did I just hear the magic words - assigned seating? SCORE!! I LOVE not being surprised by seats when you enter and find a desolate wasteland of no attendees or a crowd packed so tight you del like you're on a crowded elevator with better snacks and entertainment. We grabbed snacks and headed inside. That's when it got even better... stadium seating and reclining chairs with footrests. Hey Sparks - Summit is coming in our your 6 and it's coming in hot! Now, after watching the full movie, I realized the seats aren't as comfy as Sparks nor as wide. They do however recline, offer good cupholders and sit far enough back that you don't hit anyone's feet when you walk by. Sparks seats also have tables / desks that slide out and hold all your concession stand delights. That's a huge perk as I spent a few minutes fumbling around for the snacks I tried to balance on the armrest only to wind up fishing them off of the seat next to me. Will I return more readily than I would in the past? Yes. Is it my first choice? Nope. read more

Went to the employees that were there at the time, they said they new nothing about it. Sent Cinemark an email & they replied that I was correct that it was advertised & the children were to get a free gift. Cinemark indicated they would get in touch with Century Summit Sierra Theatre & get back to me. No Response. You just don't do that to children. read more

I decided to rent out a theater for Christmas to reward my most valuable business partners and top clients with a special advance viewing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It was well worth it to rent out a theater at Century Summit Sierra. Lots of parking is available in front of the cinema with less than a minute walk from anywhere to the front. The inside is beautifully designed, with the smell of buttery popcorn hitting you as soon as you walk in, just like it should be. Some theaters have the entire lobby blocked off before you show your tickets to get in, but this cinema has the lobby open to all, which made it easy for me to set up my table along the far wall and have my guests walk in without feeling harassed as they came to my table to pick up their tickets. The theater itself is definitely different from any I've ever been to. In fact, it's been completely redesigned just recently. The theater now sits about 135 people, but features individual reclining leather seats that are powered by a simple two button switch, complete with extending leg rest, so you can lay back and chill through the movie, just like if you were at home in your favorite recliner. The sound and visuals are amazing and, while I wouldn't ever advocate going to see every movie at the theater, it's a great place to go when you want to see something worth remembering, like any of the Star Wars movies. Overall, what a great, amazing place to go to catch a movie and have a good time. I definitely recommend this theater above any other out there, but just make sure you're not feeling sleepy, because, with the warm leather chair, dark ambiance, and stillness of the interior, it's easy to fall asleep here. read more

Just buy your tickets when you get there. In my area movie theaters, let alone everything is still shut down tight. So when we saw this place was open, we just had to come see a movie. We say Wonder Woman, literally had the whole theater to ourselves. If you buy the tickets online you have to pay a $4 convenience fee, which is silly. This place also has a shopping center and food nearby. I didnt like that you can not pay with cash, its card only. But the employees were friendly. We got popcorn and a soda.
