Movie theater in South Reno in the Summit shopping center near Trader Joe's & Apple. Recliner chairs that you pick when buying tickets. You can even have your snacks delivered for extra convenience.

We went to see wicked. I wasn't sure how I would like the moving and I was pleasantly surprised. The theater is upbeat, clean and big. The seats were huge and you can get service right to your seat. It's easy to get in and out of those seats Friendly staff and a happy environment- you gotta get the big bucket of popcorn. So fresh and sooo good .

Awful experience. Everyone was extremely rude. Don't even try to come. They didn't let us in our theatre for a R movie. All of us were 17+ and showed our IDs. Just know, apparently you STILL need a legal adult. They also never gave us the money refund. We had to go through an exchange THREE times because of their incompetence, and no money for any of the three refunds. They told us since "we looked young" the managers would come in even with our photo ID proof they would still kick us out. Shame on them for ageism. Maquela was the most unprofessional out of everyone here. She was super rude and snarky asking for the IDs and even claimed they were faked. She also was making mocking noises of my sister who has a speech impediment. I don't know why because she looks like THAT, but whatever helps you feel less insecure I suppose. They're trashy, and they tried to make a scene over ME (who is 20) trying to use it. They also tried to claim I wasn't a "valid guardian" even though we are all over 17. Sorry I didn't get knocked up at the ripe age of 3 LOL. Take your business anywhere else. In fact, just fucking pirate the movie and watch it at a McDonald's because they would provide a better movie and customer service. (PS they sent us to an alleyway because we weren't allowed in)

Great movie night at Century at the Summit last night. I complained about the temperature inside the theater during our last few times, but all is good now.

There are two things that we especially love about this movie theater: 1) the comfortable luxury reclining seats and 2) the $6 movie tickets all day every Tuesday. There are other things to like about this particular Cinemark, like the ease of parking and the availability of shops and restaurants since this is located in an open-air mall. It's not the closest location to where we live but it's worth the effort to drive down there to see a movie.

Maybe I'm just used to clean theaters 15 years ago, but I don't know what happened to taking pride in where you work regardless what your job is. If a business is understaffed to save money, they shouldn't be open. If they have more than enough staff, why aren't the employers taking pride in their job. Is it a management issue? A generational issue? 1. To show up to a movie starting at 1030 am and the doors don't open till 1015 is well different, but would expect them to open at a minimum 30 minutes early especially when is 28 degrees outside 2. The cleanliness of a theater that JUST opened was worse than a new Marines barracks room after a 4 day weekend. Not a very "clean" environment. 3. Lack or bathroom supplies and cleanliness at 1030 am as well

Ask the Community - Century Summit Sierra

Do they sell beer and wine?

Yes, they currently sell beer and wine. Beer selection is better than the wine selection. Beer is the more economical choice for the amount you get versus the wine.

There are quite a few options at concessions, and even though the line may be long, it moves fast because there are quite a number of people working the counter. Yeah, popcorn and a drink cost a few bucks. But, it was worth it. The theater seats are comfortable and each armless has a cupholder large enough for the mega sodas they serve. I was pleased with the viewing experience of the movie. The sound was quite good as well. I came back a few days later to see the movie again, it was that good! The second visit was just as good as the first.

Where to begin? We went on Saturday to see The Odyssey -- fantastic film and definitely worth seeing on the biggest and best screen available, which won't be in the Reno area unfortunately. Among my long list of complaints: 1) 10:00 am screening, first of the day, and a dirty theater. Not a good look and that tells you what to expect later in the day as well. 2) Busted, old, uncomfortable seats that do not recline. Very uncomfortable after three hours. 3) They never turned off the overhead lights!! What in the world? That deserves a refund on the spot. 4) The sound was ridiculously loud. Yes, I expect the sound to be loud in IMAX but turning the volume up to 11 doesn't mask the fact that you're using older technology. 5) This is not the fault of the theater, but we had a terrible audience. If you need someone to explain the movie to you, blow by blow, maybe read up ahead of time and come back later. Constantly being on your phone. No. Eating everything as loudly as possible, please make it stop. Great film. Awful experience. Do not recommend,

I desired to see the movie, Michael, and the showtime was scheduled to start at 9:10 PM in Auditorium #9. PROS: * I opted for the XD Luxury Lounger D-Box experience. The immersive D-BOX motion seating combined physical motion and cinematic immersion through synchronized motion. That is, the chair was precisely synced with the on-screen action to simulate vibrations, bumps, and movements. I was amazed as it felt like I was actually dancing with the actors throughout the entire Michael movie. The seat was about $25, and it was worth every penny. * Parking was ample and accessible - located directly behind the theatre * Staff members were helpful and kind, from the ticket counter to the food counter * The building was nicely spacious * The availability of snacks was decent CON: * The movie theatre presented a messy environment. The overall cleanliness was beyond lacking, with the food/beverage counters and carpeted floors being unkempt and dirty. Whereas I truly had a spectacular time with the viewing of the Michael movie with the inclusion of the unforgettable D-BOX motion seat, this Cinemark location should prioritize cleanliness a little better between shows. I'd return to this theater in the future whenever I'm in the Reno, NV area again.

My high-school friends and I would frequent this location as teenagers. The front got a major facelift, but the lobby and concessions stand were as I remembered it years ago. The parking lot in the front is no longer available and the lot in the back is still the same awkward design it was years ago. My kids giggled that my stories of this area were two decades old. Writing that out makes me feel old. Lol The kid checking us out at concessions barely acknowledged us and kept stocking candy near us while we stood there waiting to pay, so we could get to our movie. My kids and I came here to catch, The devil wears Prada 2 matinee yesterday. I watched the original 20 years ago in the Century theater riverside. We enjoyed the movie, the new seats felt more narrow than we're used to, but it was nice to recline our seats here. My kids enjoyed their snacks, I wish they sold a protein shake or a healthier alternatives since they sell Fairlife chocolate milk here. I just had my $7 smart microplastics. The restrooms and trash bins could use some T.L.C. Besides the minor set back with your cashier, we enjoyed our time here.

To their credit, they arranged accommodations at another hotel, although it was not comparable to the one we had reserved. Wanting to give them another opportunity, we booked another stay this year. Unfortunately, the experience was even more disappointing. Our check-in was delayed until 5:00 p.m. because the room was not ready, despite the advertised 4:00 p.m. check-in time. Once we entered the room, we discovered the air conditioning was not functioning properly and the desk lamp was broken. We called for assistance at approximately 5:30 p.m. and again at 8:30 p.m. after no one responded. Someone finally arrived around 11:00 p.m., after we had already gone to bed. The lamp was replaced, but the air conditioning was never addressed during that visit. The following morning, we discovered the bathroom floor was soaked due to a leaking toilet. Maintenance confirmed the issue, placed towels on the floor, and returned later to repair it. During that visit, they were also able to fix the air conditioning. Later that morning, we found that one of the mugs in our room had not been properly cleaned. While this would normally be a minor issue, it became part of a pattern of poor housekeeping and maintenance. When we returned to our room that evening, we found another leak--this time water was coming from the ceiling. To make matters worse, my friend discovered blood stains on her comforter that had been concealed beneath the sheet. When we reported these issues to the front desk, there appeared to be no record of our previous maintenance requests or completed service calls, which was extremely concerning. A manager later offered us a $100 dining credit. While I appreciate the acknowledgment, I do not believe it adequately reflected the extent of the problems we encountered throughout our stay. Grand Sierra positions itself as one of Reno's premier hotels, and with that reputation comes an expectation of quality, cleanliness, and responsive service. Unfortunately, our experience fell well below those expectations. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because guests should not experience repeated maintenance failures, cleanliness issues, and communication breakdowns during what is supposed to be a relaxing stay.
