They lack taking incentive. They told me my dog needed his teeth removed, which I agreed. Keep in mind, my dog was a senior and frail dog. They ended up doing the surgery and he died 2 days later due to having a bad reaction to the anestesia. I would only come to find out that they are supposed to run blood tests to make sure your furanimal is okay to be put under. They didn't do that. It could have been avoided. Also, years before that, they diagnosed my then dog with cancer and gave him a month to live and that was that. We took him to another vet. They also diagnosed him with cancer HOWEVER they provided us with medicine that helped and gave us 8 more months with him. They lack incentive. I am glad I changed vet clinics. I regret taking my dogs there. read more

Found a sick kitten in my mothers front yard and decided to take it to the vet. Kinda had a feeling she wouldn't make it, but I was hopeful. The staff were very sweet and empathetic. They gave me options and I opted to have the kitten euthanized. While not necessarily cheap, it was the right thing to do. They asked me if I wanted to name her and so I did, giving them a name my daughter would have chosen. They were so sweet, that even though the kitten was not mine, they mailed us a sympathy card with everyone's signatures and a little paw print with her name. It honestly brought me to tears. We were recommended this place by a friend who comes here, and now all three of my dogs go for all their needs and yearly examinations. Dr. Wallace is who we always see and she has given me great tips, and recommendations. She's kind, passionate, and genuinely an animal lover. I never feel like we're being rushed, she answers all of our questions making us feel comfortable with any concern we have. I took my dog there with an ear infection several months ago, I was very satisfied with that treatment. Fast forward to 2024 my cocker is not 12 years 4 months old. He is very sick so the Dr said she wanted to do several test on him. We agreed. Holy crap we did not expect it to be so expensive. In the end the bill was $ 1011.00. Mind you we are seniors. Anyway my dog was sick and had to give him his wings. But man she (veterinarian) could have had a heart & not charged us so much. It really put us back for this month. I asked about a senior discount and the lady who first explained the charges said yes. I didn't even look at bill due to being sick upset. Vets here are clueless and act like they care about your pet when all they have is $$ signs in their eyes. I don't understand how their review score is so good. I'm sure they have people give them good reviews. If you want to bring your pet here then plan on never getting the root of the problem resolved. They will do all kinds of tests though all that have nothing to do with your dogs diagnosis if he or she even has one. They want to focus on making that money instead of your precious fur baby. I have been going to Ceres vet for about a year and a half. I have an old dog and two puppies that joined our family this last year. They have been great! They always make time to answer any questions I have and my old man dog is having lots of trouble waking and hip pain over the last few months. We have been upping his treatment and instead of me calling them they call me to ask how he is doing and if things are working. And then when they weren't we move to next step. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the staff at Ceres Veterinary Clinic. We recently had to say goodbye to our 13 year old Labrador retriever. Dr. Judge is the best! I would've given 5 stars but there's always too long of a wait past my appointment time. 2 hours there last time.

We recently had to take our little beloved Yorkie Max in to be put to sleep. He had a cancer that had progressed causing severe, erratic seizures. It was EXTREMELY heart-wrenching for both my daughter and I in the office that day. My daughter, Max, and I were handled with so much kindness and compassion by the staff and Dr. Cassidy that day. Out of that experience, they have gained a customer for life. I received a condolescences letter one week later in the mail signed by all the staff of Ceres Vet and a little slip of thick, white paper taped inside with Maxys paw print. I'm so glad to have that little print. We have used Ceres Vet for routine appointments over the years and have never had issues. It was this experience though that solidified my loyalty to their business. They literally could not have done one thing better that day and on a day like that day, that says ALOT. The vet and the technicians are great, but the ladies who answer the phone are rude. If you like to be interrupted while you are speaking and have someone simply talk over you to really solidify that what you were asking didn't matter at all, then this is the place for you! I especially find the customer service demonstrated to be a new level of experience whey answer the phone and before you can say a word, they announce with full exasperation and a deep sigh, "please hold, we are both assistant another at this time" as if she is bothered by the fact that she had to work at her job. Anyone with the basic understanding of elementary politeness would be offended by this level of "customer service" offered. I only still go here with one dog, because it belongs to my mother and she insists that "Dr. Dooley's place is still the best". But, for my animals, I prefer to give my hard earned money to a vet who requires the reception desk to, at a minimum, feign politeness and basic manners to the paying customer. read more

I adopted a pup when she was dumped close to my home. I have taken her to Ceres Veterinary Clinic since then. The girls in front are always cheery and helpful and Dr Cassidy is the best at explaining things. I recently took her in for her vaccinations and pedicure and that night she wouldn't let me hold her without wincing. I called in the next day and spoke to Heidi who treated her and she showed concern but said my baby might be sore from the shots. Heidi called that night and the next day to check on my baby's pain which had subsided. Family doctors don't even call the home anymore. I totally recommend this vet clinic. read more

I am so upset with medical care my kitten has received but more so by the lack of initiative the office showed in reaching me me at a critical time in my pets illness. My kittens recovery is significantly delayed and my children are so disappointed appointed. (We did have good service in the past????). During this time, after speaking to another specialist I am convinced we were also over charged by unnecessary services. The new office feels uncomfortable. Gets love animals. Service and coordination for care does not work for me. We're at 600.+ for the little kite. We found abandoned. Sadly, we will have to look for a new office. My mom is 70 years old and on a fixed income. She needed her dog to have her mouth worked on. Ceres Vet quoted her $700. We called American Pet Clinic right down the road. They did the same exact procedure for $288 dollars. I've had my 2 dogs get their rabies shots at Ceres Vet for almost 10 years. When I went last year, I asked the office staff if they needed one. They insisted they did but wouldn't just give it to them. They made me get a physical on both dogs first, costing me 160.00 instead of 30 for the shots. Turns out, as I originally thought, they didn't even need the rabies shot. Ceres Vet knew that but wanted the money. I'll never go to them again. read more
