This medical center is the best, im so thankful my neighbor told me about them i had an estimate from tracy vet to remove a skin growth from posey my dog and it was $2600-$3200 for procedure, i discussed with my wife that we would put her down if it would be that costly because she had other issues as well, but i would take her to animal medical center for another exam and decide there if she should be put down, my daughter was extremely distraught about it. Dr Ramírez is insensitive! I had an appointment for my baby Frenchie today at 10 I called and asked if I could get there earlier today he said that 9:30 would be fine. I arrived and my baby was panting and breathing heavy in plenty of pain I was told the doctor would not be in till 10. The assistant took her to the back to give her a protesteron test the assistant came back and said she would not need one the babies were ready. by this time it's 9:40. They told me they would have to call him to come in. But by this time he should already be on his way for her 10 o'clock appointment for a c section that I made on Monday. I told them I would just wait for him to get there they told me to wait in the lobby with my dog. At ten o'clock exactly assistant come back and said she would put my baby on an IV I Said ok when dr Ramirez came in he wanted to talk to me I said fine they took me into. a Room. He tried to flip it on me and says to me that she was never scheduled for a c section but that he was not going to charge me the full amount I asked how much more it would be he said $600 more I said ok. I was not happy because he was full of shit. But I had been there two other times before but this time while I was waiting there I find out from another Frenchie owner that I did not have to wait for my baby to go into labor but they never told me this. I was trying to explain this to him and get a better understanding of there procedures but he didn't like this. every time he would talk to me he would put his head down and I felt like he was lying to me and I knew he had already lied to me. But there wasn't much I could really do at this point. Dr Ramirez tells me next that he didn't like what I said to him and he wasn't going to proceed with my baby girl's appointment I could go and take her to have an emergency c section somewhere else. Took her off of the IV and brought her out to me. no care at all for my baby's health and should not be in practice. Dr Ramirez does not deserve any stars Dr Ramirez told me his been accused of stealing puppies, I believed he wouldn't do that but now I do believe he might have stolen puppies. I Don't trust Dr. RAMIREZ! I had to give him one star to post but he does not deserve any stars. So sad my dog and Family have suffered and our 1st experience was ruined. It should have been a great experience. I was treated so unfairly. Instead of an apology I have gotten threaten with a law suit. So I have revised my yelp Below I have posted a picture of the threatening email I'm posting this to show that the medical center wants me to take my review down or else they want to sue, and to clear up some of their "issues" regarding my statements. I personally believe that Dr Ramirez is unprofessional and shouldn't be practicing. 2, dr Ramirez never mentioned the increase of the price over the phone as they stated. 3, did not say DR RAMIREZ stole puppies but he IN FACT STATED TO ME THAT HE HAS BEEN ACCUSED. Dr. BASRA is truly the "Frenchie King". I brought my 7 month old tiny frenchie in for her "Spay" procedure and he did a flawless job.....Super Tiny incision that you can barely see. First Off...my frenchie is only 7 pounds....she has a liver shunt....I called around and wasn't able to find a vet comfortable with spaying her using the "liver shunt protocol anesthesia". Dr. BASRA took all the time at our consultation to explain to me the protocol and that he is confident that he can do it safely. His bedside manners are second to none....I was confident/comfortable that he would be able to do the surgery safely.....My baby is recovering well and is back to her active self...I live in Stockton but will drive to Modesto to see Dr. Basra.....he really CARES about his patients and they are just not a number to him!!!!
