I finally spoke with the owner? He agreed to reduce the charge to cover the cost of properly redoing this concrete. NOTE: As one lady indicated, they do only concrete patches in their repairs. Sure enough their contract says that. Only problem is that I didn't have THAT contract until work was completed. They had taken my electronic signature from the first contract and transferred it to a new contract that stated they do only concrete patches. How about that. I should know better. These guys are great! A few months after buying our house, we discovered that the pipes from the house to the street were original from 1948 and tree roots had busted them (of course) a couple feet before the city's property line. I see Dillion responded to my review. He still did not explain why he charged over DOUBLE what other companies do!!!!! Dillon from Sewer & Drain Champion charge us $5,100 to replace our sewer clean out!!!! I contacted three other plumbing companies a couple of days later and explained exactly what was done and I got three estimates: $1,890, $1,895 and $2,000. LESS THAN HALF THE COST!!!! I called a friend who is a retired plumber and several years ago he said he would have charged $600 to $800. The situation was our main sewer line was completely clogged and at 12 noon we called Sewer & Drain to get it cleared. They showed up around 3:30pm. They tried VERY BRIEFLY to clear it then told me that the sewer clean out would have to be dug up and replaced. The cost $5,100!!!!!!!!! (and that was AFTER THE "DISCOUNT") It seemed very high but our house was completely clogged and it was getting late so I signed on the dotted line. (We should have gone to a hotel and called someone else in the morning.) He was very quick to say that I was getting a discount of over $2,000!!! (Yea right!!) The work seemed to be done correctly but the PRICE WAS OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!! While his workman was doing the work he tried to explain to me that my sewer lines were breaking and gave me several quotes for several sections of sewer line. This is in reply to the owner's response. Actually, the ring was only replaced once, after I had the bathroom remodeled years ago when the contractor didn't properly connect the toilet to the new floor. Not twice prior to this time. I had another company come out and it was, indeed the ring as the one that was placed back during the remodel was not tall enough due to the new floor. The new company fixed it and I have not had any issues whatsoever. Again, to jump to demolishing my ceiling underneath the toilet was not the first available option. Obviously. Made an appointment to fix a slow drain that occasionally backed up. Quote to snake was $70. Sounded like a great deal. Service person arrives. We chat and then was told I'd be better off hydro jetting line. Quoted an unbelievably high price. The amount was actually insane for the proposed service. Red flag #1. Was shocked and said no thank you. Service person said, "what if I can talk to my boss and knock a couple hundred off?" Sorry. Red flag number two. We will pay a fair price for services rendered. But, if a company comes in outrageously high and then says they can knock off hundreds of dollars for a small job. Huh? That's not a company I want to work with. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with Sewer & Drain Champion. After our toilets, showers and sinks all backed up and started making gargling noises at 4am on a Sunday, Dillon with Sewer & Drain Champion came out within a few hours of my initial contact and was able to clear up my line, diagnose our bigger problems and provided us with several options to correct the two different issues we were having. Later that same day, I called around and got additional bids to see what other companies would charge to replace our 59 year old corroded cast iron pipes and our cracked sewer line.
