My mom and I had such a great experience at Certo. The food was outstanding--we ordered one of the specials along with the beef tenderloin, and both were excellent. The wine paired perfectly with dinner, and the atmosphere struck that nice balance between elegant and comfortable. Dessert was just as impressive. My mom couldn't stop talking about the chocolate ice cream and said it was the best chocolate ice cream she's ever had--rich, smooth, and incredibly chocolatey. I ordered the Napoleon with puff pastry and custard, and it was light, flaky, and delicious. A special thank you to Francisco, who took wonderful care of us all evening. He was attentive, accommodating, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Great service like that really makes a difference. We also saw their private event space, and it looked like a beautiful place to host a celebration. This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last. We always have a great meal at Certo. They no longer have their fixed lunch menu, but now you get a 30% discount during lunch for any food menu items. Also, they have added a very extensive selection of wines that are available in half bottles. This is a great addition that very few restaurants offer in the Miami area. Certo is one of my best friend's favorite restaurants, and I had never been before until this past weekend. Located on 57th ave between 8th street and 57th - you wouldn't expect such a delicious little find in a strip mall but Certo is exactly that. It's welcoming, affordable and absolutely serving up some great dishes. Our party of 7 ordered pizza and wine for lunch. We got a NY Style white and NY Style Vegetarian Pizza as well as a Neapolitan style Fig Pizza. I didn't try the fig pizza but I absolutely loved the NY Style white and veggie. We also got two bottles of red wine - one chianti and one multipulciano. I enjoyed both. This spot was such a breath of fresh air when it comes to dining out in Miami. So many places can be overdone, expensive, with meh service but this felt homey, welcoming and like a place you want to come back to. I will definitely be back because the pastas on the menu caught my eye. Parking can be a bit tricky because it's limited in the strip mall - but there is additional parking down the street. read more

I'll keep this one short, this is a hidden gem! One of the most authentic Italian in SoFlo. The lasagna alone took us back to our trip to Rome, very authentic! It really was. Slight variation but really good. Garlic knots: so buttery, garlicky and delicious. Chicken toscana: this was the highlight. Saturday night was a historical rain shower that did not deter from the amazing attention that we received from the owner the waiters the wine that we ordered the food that we ate for Miami spice everything was amazing. We cannot wait to come back for more. In addition to the reservation that we made over the phone, we were also texted by the owner himself, making sure that we had the location for the additional parking that the restaurant has a block away. What a shocking surprise! We were looking for a lunch spot that was close to a Doctor's visit and located this on Yelp. Seeing that it was consistently highly rated and sitting at 4.7. It screamed try me. Parked and open the door to a very eye appealing interior and then it got really good, we were greeted by Gonzalo who was super friendly and genuinely helpful. We were given the menus and were shocked at the variety of dishes that I have enjoyed since childhood. Next we were served garlic rolls by a lovely lady named Charito. So charming and so delicious. The food was excellent that chicken Parm was devoured. I could not leave any part behind and it was perfect with a thin spaghetti with just a light amount of sauce, which was perfection. The service was top notch. Everybody was so welcoming and warm. It was like coming home to family. The establishment is really nice. Has perfect lighting. It's great for a date and they even have space for groups. Authentic Italian cuisine all around. We came on their 4 year anniversary. The place was packed but reservations were made in advance. Once seated we enjoyed all the old Italian decor with pictures and paintings with some model touches here and there. The menu is full of traditional dishes with pasta made fresh daily. They also have daily specials that all sounds mouth watering. We started with garlic rolls, octopus appetizer, focaccia bread with prosciutto,fried seafood platter, and a cheese pizza. These were all starters mind you. We couldn't resist to try it all. And to be honest, minus the garlic bread I would order it all again. The octopus alone was my favorite, could've kept on ordering that and the bread. Our main dishes were superb as well. I had a penne with salmon. The pasta with sauce was great and the salmon packed such flavor and the texture was perfect. .y mother had the oear stuffed pasta with gorgonzola cheese sauce that was absolute perfection. My stepdad had the seafood special of the day which was a corvina special covered with seafood like clams and shrimp. It was such a light filling dish. We were all so happily full. Went to Certo last night after finding it on Yelp with a solid 4.7-star rating. Wanted to try a new spot for pizza, especially since they offer Neapolitan, my favorite, and New York-style too. Made a reservation and got seated quickly despite the packed place. Service was super fast--our waiter explained the menu clearly and was really attentive. The vibe was cozy, a bit romantic with dim lighting, though it was noisy from other tables chatting loudly. Some Italian music in the background was a nice touch. They brought out complimentary garlic rolls, but honestly, they were a letdown--one was burnt, the others tasted stale and cold. Would've preferred they skipped those. For the pizza, I started with a classic Margherita. The crust was tasty, sauce was fresh, and the cheese was good--not the best Margherita I've had, but solid. Then I ordered the Diavola pizza, which was a disaster at first. It came with this "hot honey" that tasted more like maple syrup and completely ruined it--literally inedible. I spoke to the waiter, and they remade it without the hot honey. That version? One of the best Neapolitan pizzas I've ever had in Miami. Every bite was perfection, and I'd go back just for that. With a check-in promo, they offered a free dessert or prosecco. We chose the tiramisu, and it was a total hit--fresh, creamy, absolutely delicious. Between the fixed Diavola Pizza and the tiramisu, I'm already planning my next visit. My raviolis, which are a staple, were consistent. Needed a little more cream sauce, in my opinion. Easy fix. My husband had the branzino special and said it lacked taste. Just okay ($47). He thought he couldn't go wrong with a special. For desert we ordered the chocolate flourless cake and it started off good but then the freezer taste hit. It was definitely not fresh. Every time I come here the place gets nicer. Since my last visit they added the really cute outdoor seating area with bistro lights. On a cool night it's the way to go. Inside is nice too, but great to have both options and still have the Italian vibe. Inside they had videos of strolling down Italian streets, which I love. Puts you in the right mood for the food. The service is always great. Friendly staff that have really good selections. The menu is full of things that all sound delicious, so it gets hard to choose. The suggestions do help narrow it down. This time I went out of my usual comfort zone and got the involtini (eggplant) starter. This was by far my favorite. Super glad the waiter suggested it. The sauce is everything. Not sure I can pass it up next time. This may be my new favorite. The highlight of the night. For mains we had the tenderloin pappardelle and the pollo a la toscana. Both also delicious. We almost passed on dessert, but when I saw Nutella I knew I had to try the dessert. I think it's maybe pizza dough filled with Nutella? Enough said... so tasty. Sadly couldn't finish it, but worth ordering even for a few bites. This place is always a hit. Somehow she always manages to have a smile and is on top of every detail. My favorite here is the Manicotti with Spinach in a delightful Bechamel sauce. Food is not good Italian at all (coming from a Sicilian, I'm allowed to be critical) For starters we had: *garlic rolls- warm and buttery, good to start *calamari - over fried, forgettable *Caesar salad- okay, not much flavor, needs anchovies *bruschetta- not considered an Italian one. Just had sauce and pieces of cheese thrown on *chicken- bland. The cute purse-shaped pasta are filled with pear and ricotta, with a creamy cheese sauce that I could also just eat by itself. 5/5 - Penne alla vodka con salmone - compared to the fiocchi, it was a balanced pasta that's less heavy with protein and a little bit of veggies. I appreciate that the salmon wasn't overcooked. 4.5/5 Dessert: - Panna cotta: I loved the vanilla flavor, and there's berry sauce as well. Solid choice 4.5/5 - Pistachio gelato: I can see why other yelp reviews saw this is the best--it's densely filled with pistachios--definitely our favorite. 5/5 Arianna was our server and she was super nice and attentive, frequently checking in, and she made a great recommendation for the house salad. Ambience was nice with plenty of comfortable seating and natural lighting. Parking spaces in front are free but limited as there is only one row of spaces in front for the whole strip, allowing 2-3 spaces in front of each business.
