Tucked just steps from the historic harbour and the iconic red-and-white lighthouse, the place is packed with charm, nostalgia, sweets, and homemade ice cream. Still sweating from the ride, I scanned the flavours and landed on a split single scoop in a waffle cone: Rum & Raisin (my dad's favourite, so had to do it) and Rum Black Cherry. Both were excellent. Super smooth, creamy, and clearly really well made without being overly sweet. The staff were incredibly friendly and got all of us served quickly despite us arriving right before closing. We took our cones outside and sat in the classic red rocking chairs overlooking the harbour as the evening settled in. One of those simple holiday moments that just feels perfect. We'll defo be back

Figuring we'd give the food a chance on the 2nd day we sat down to find the waitress wasn't in the right line of business either. We decided to stay anyway only to find the food was subpar. When we mentioned one of our meals wasn't really edible the waitress was dismissive and argued with us, albeit gently, but enough pushback to make things uncomfortable. The manager came and disagreed with us as well but, to his credit, offered to make it right or take it off the bill. Would not recommend or return.

This location is a block away from the heart of Coligny. Every morning after our beach walk, we'd head her for a coffee. We got there early enough where there was never really a line. We wound up always ordering an iced sand dollar latte with almond milk and light whip. I'd also order a hot sand dollar for my husband. The staff was pretty friendly. I will say, when there was a line, one barista didn't seem like nearly enough. The line would get pretty long and took longer to get your coffee. I love the Sand Dollar latte. It's a combo between honey and cinnamon. We'll be back!

I tried the Sand Dollar latte, it was so good. 10/10. We were seated quickly, and they have a nice indoor dining area, and a lovely outside patio. Service was very quick, as we also ordered breakfast. I had their omelet with hashbrowns and toast. Nice portion sizes, and very good! Best of all was the price. Very reasonable. This place goes on our list of regular stops on HHI. Give it a try!

Unfortunately it didn't make it out of the parking lot so I didn't get a photo. I'm lucky I got a bite because it was Delicious! The pastry was fresh, the strawberry icing was perfect and not too sweet and the filling was just right. We also went for a fresh croissant, a stuffed oatmeal cookie and a chocolate chip cookie to take with us. All so good. The oatmeal cookie was saved for the next day and pro tip, I opened it up- scraped off the icing added a marshmallow and toasted in the oven - added back the icing to the other side, smash back together and it was bonkers good. We were craving morning coffee, so we stopped our beach walk and headed up to Tiki Hut to go to the road, when we saw a sign for Sweet Al's. Hoping this was a coffee place, we followed the signs, and it led us to a shop in a condo complex. It was all open, so we were able to stop in! It is very small in here, but it was packed full of people and goodies! There were so many seeet treats, a vast menu, and even grab and go items. I wanted to try one of the many unique, custom drinks offered here. I asked the cashier what the best speciality drink was, and she asked if I like coconut, and I said yes! Seconds later, a huge coffee with blue foam in it appeared lol. It was very good! Sweet...just how I like it. It was coconut flavored cold foam with cold brew coffee and whole milk. It did take just a second of the drink to come out, but there was no where to stand and wait and the menu had a lot of items crossed off and paper specials hanging. Everything stated so fresh and delicious. The portions were large. The pastries were flaky. The baked goods were light and airy. It takes a lot of time and patience to make authentic French pastries. You see this reflected in the prices which are higher than you would pay elsewhere. It's worth the extra expense.
