They have a modern decor with a couple of caravelas, as well as a TV streaming corridos. From what I understand, they have mariachis other times of the weekend too. Their dishes are a fusion of street and classic cuisine. For starters, their salsa with chips has a nice spicy kick I enjoyed! I also tried esquites - basically corn without the cob, sprinkled cheese and sour cream. It 's definitely a nice snack! My main course was a keto-ization of their chicken fajitas (no rice, no tortilla) and I loved it! This was a very generous portion of flavorful chicken, onions and peppers. Their sour cream is a little more liquid than I would prefer; I like the richer one I'm used to at my regular spot. The red sauce was tasty though! Likewise for the tacos al pastor. Fresh cilantro, onions yummy beef and pineapple on a crisp tortilla make a really tasty dinner. Pair these with a couple of apps, and they're as filling as fajitas. They had enchiladas de pollo but I actually wanted enchiladas with fish or shrimp instead. They said the enchiladas were already made so the chef couldn't do the substitution. Therefore I ordered the Mar Y Tierra. As I waited for it to be prepared, I enjoyed snacking on the crispy tortilla chips and salsa. The steak and shrimp arrived sizzling on a fajita cast iron skillet and came with rice and beans, plantains, and a very tasty tamarind sauce. The food was delicious. The meat and shrimp arrived tender. I tend to like my steak cooked medium which is how it came out. But the cast iron continued to cook it so it was too chewy and well done by the time I was done with my meal. Maybe next time I would tell them to cook it less in the kitchen so it won't be so overdone on the cast iron skillet as I eat. I'd like to go back and try the tacos and the churros that seem to be getting high praise.

She replies "sorry we don't have sancocho right now". (Even though their sign is blinking outside with sancocho.) I then ordered something with plátano, and she said they don't have any either. How do you have a Dominican restaurant and not have plátano on deck??! Who's doing the inventory in this place?!? It's lunchtime, what the heck? The server recommends the yaroa, which for ppl who don't know what that is, is like street food...fries, cheese and meat...I would eat this after the club, not really for lunch. At that point, we decided to just walk out, which is such a shame because even though their menu was limited, it all sounded good but they just didn't have anything available. SMH.
