I was at home during the project and was able to watch the work being done. They did everything they agreed to do and used the GAF lifetime roof system. We had a leak in the garage by the light well. Our usual roofing company did a water test but couldn't find the origin. They told us to either redo the light well area or have a plumber open the wall to check the drain pipe. So we went with CFY for a second opinion. The crew was very thorough doing the water test and didn't stop until they could confidently mimic the leak! Turned out the leak was NOT from the light well but the bathroom skylight! We then proceed to have CFY fix the leak. They patiently answered all our questions and were able to send 2 teams quickly to fix the issue in 1 day which I appreciated. CFY is professional and great at communication. They don't make you wait for months to fix a leak. They shared pictures taken from the inspection, during work and after work. Luis and his team have fixed various issues at our house over the last few years. They've patched the roof, replaced old vent pipes, added copper flashing, and most recently replaced a small flat roof and part of a wall that was leaking. This is a story of perseverance... On Wednesday it rained and was very windy. There was a leak in the kitchen. On Saturday, the crew, led by Omar who is a gem, came out to investigate. They did a bunch of water testing and couldn't reproduce the issue. We believed it to be leak only happening due to wind driven rain. On Sunday, it rained again but was not windy. The leak happened again. On Monday, Omar and his crew came back out early in the morning, armed with new information and video of the leak. They believed after more water testing that they had found the issue. After providing an estimate, they installed a new flat roof and replaced the waterproofing and wall shingles on the adjoining wall. They caulked and painted everything. It was a full day of work and they brought over an additional crew partway through to make sure it got done. On Tuesday it rained again. It leaked again, but not at first. It rained all night and all afternoon. In the morning, it was dry, but by the afternoon it was leaking again. Interesting... On Wednesday, they came back again to investigate further. They found that a piece of wood near the window was completely saturated and rotted out. It makes sense that this could be the issue. If the wood was the cause, and it took time to saturate and start leaking, it would make sense that the leak only started happening after hours of rain. Ok, great. So they replaced the wood and got most of the way done. On Thursday, they came back out again to finish the job. No extra charge after the work on Monday. And then we wait.... Which brings me to Tuesday (today). It rained hard. The wind blew. The leak did not recur. All dry! CFY did a very good job on our very, very complex roof. They needed to replace a fair amount of decking and fascia and they did this at a reasonable cost. In addition they coordinated to get all gutters installed. We changed out all 4 skylights which needed drywall repairs because of the old design. The quality control person came out and made sure the drywall was also completed. The crew was nice and worked a lot of long days. It wasn't cheap but I do feel it was a good price for the amount of work. I would hire them again if we decide to change the garage. read more

I found CFY via Yelp and they were an amazing find. A few notes as to why I felt they were excellent: 1. I received a response via email or phone call for every inquiry I sent within *hours* (not days) 2. Every step of the way they were highly communicative but more importantly took photos and provided those photos to me of the current state of our roof as well as when work commenced 3. Their pricing was very reasonable and it was easy to contract and pay them 4. They completed the work in 2 full days, from tearing the old flat roofing to replacing wood slats to laying the membrane and sealing. This also included replacing one of our skylights on a ~650 sq ft flat roof 5. My roof had suffered some wind damage earlier last year and I was in the process of getting some quotes to have it repaired.  Luckily, I ran into Luis from CFY in my neighborhood.  He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.  He spent over 30 minutes walking around my roof, marking the damaged areas, and taking lots of pictures. This was my first time submitting a homeowner's insurance claim and thankfully Luis was there to walk me through everything.  He gave me all of the information I needed to file the claim and also came to meet the insurance agency's roofing company when they did their inspection for the claim. It started with water leaking into my home from the sliding glass door to a beautiful roof and gutters that I couldn't be happier with!! I'd initially called CFY to have them look at my roof and potentially get a cost on a repair, or if needed, a new roof altogether. I'd also add that out of at least six contractors I called, CFY was one of two to reach back out to me. Luis (owner) came out and after further review recommended a new roof. I wasn't too surprised as the roof was quite old and had numerous problems. I'd also had some roof work done prior and didn't want to shell out more cash if it was just going to be another band aid repair and costing me more in the long run so I was more than ok with having to do a new roof. I was kept in the loop during the entire process from start to finish. The customer service and quality of work are second to none. Luis was very prompt in responding to us after we had wind damage to our roof. He was on our property within 24 hours of our initial contact and helped guide and support us through the entire insurance claims process (which was quite long and painful). Once we had approval for our roof replacement we had materials delivered within a couple days and a crew began working the following week. The materials and the crew arrived early, around 7:30 am. They immediately went to work removing the 2 layers of old shingles. They did a wonderful job in cleaning the roof and replacing damaged plywoods before installing new waterproof materials and shingles. The cleanup was excellent. My neighbor came over and couldn't believe the wonderful cleanup job the crew did. I was amazed too. I can understand why CFY is having such a high rating. I can't say enough good things about this company. Luis was extremely thorough and helped through the whole process. The work was completed within 2-3 weeks of signing the agreement. Several structural issues came up during the roof replacement, and were addressed properly, not overlooked. It is very uncommon to find a company where the owner and salesman are at the location while the work is being performed; this was the case with CFY! There were no surprises at the end, and the work was completed in two days and to a high standard! They even took the time to paint the vent stack in our roof black to match the shingles and capping without being asked; no other companies these days do these small touches to make the job look complete! Luis came out to inspect what we thought was a leaky roof. After inspecting the roof, it was not a leak at all, but he noticed our shingles had aged beyond their 3 short years. CFY completed all documentation needed to file a claim with the shingle company to have our entire roof replaced at no cost to us. They replaced our roof, and we upgraded our attic venting so it is more sleek and less obvious. Luis walked us through the entire process, stayed true to our timeline and followed up with us after. We got a lot of bids for our redo of our deck/balcony. CFY had the best options and the best price. They came out to do the work and installed a 1/2 inch board instead of a 3/4 inch board. Their lumber yard gave them the wrong size. They even showed me the receipt. They paid for the right size, but the wrong size was given to them. They not only took the old out, but they paid for an extra layer at no cost to us. The workmanship is so professional. The warranty is incredible. The detail work is high grade. Their workers are very respectful (they checked with us each day they came out). The end product is exactly what we had hoped for and expected. They took the time to do it right. CFY removed my old roof and installed a new one in 3 (long) days. My visual assessment is that they did an outstanding, comprehensive job, particularly in sealing the chimney at the roof intersection very impressive. I solicited proposals from 6 companies, and CFY was the first to respond within 24 hours, 2 others took 7-10 days, and 3 never replied. Though CFY was not the least expensive of the quotes I received, the premium was well worth it. They did what they promised, delivered a finished job when they promised they would, and left my property spotless. Communication by the owner ranks among the best of any company I've ever worked with. The crew wastes no time, and works together seamlessly, resulting in a roof that looks great. We had CFY out to re-roof our home about 3 years ago. They were really great to work with. I appreciated the fact that when the old roofing came off, they could see there was water damage in an area I had been concerned with. They made some excellent suggestions about protecting it with an additional layer of protection (Waterproofing). My home also had an issue where the contractor made the overhang a little longer than it should have been. That was corrected in the process as well. Fast forward to and I had a small leak over my kitchen. I don't believe it was because of the roofing job, as it had occurred previously during an addition to our home. We had our roof replaced today by CFY and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The dumpster was delivered yesterday as planned. Luis, our project manager showed up at about 7:15 as the shingles were being delivered. He explained what what we could expect and that he would keep in touch with us so we could see what was going on up top. He kept his word because he had to leave twice to pick up a skylight. The first one didn't fit so he went back to find one that would fit. It has been super difficult to find good roofers to say the least. We reached out to CFY along with many others and ended up going with CFY. Luis came out to give us a quote on the cost of reroofing, and subsequently answered lots of questions patiently over email.
