I'm writing to express my deep frustration with the customer service I received on the evening of August 1st, 2025, shortly after 8:30 PM. I understand your location closes at 9 PM, but that does not excuse the rude and dismissive behavior I experienced from your staff. When I walked in, two employees were in the back and didn't acknowledge me. One finally came to the register but said absolutely nothing and just stared, waiting for me to begin speaking. I asked about the cloud foam matcha, and she responded with, "There's no point in making a full batch just for one drink." Seriously? That's incredibly unprofessional. I then asked for a hot matcha latte and was told the steamer wasn't working. She followed that with, "It's a sign for you not to order." At that point, I was already irritated, but I still proceeded to order an iced matcha latte. The drink was awful -- the milk-to-matcha ratio was completely off and tasted watered down. I watched her scoop the matcha from a random plastic bowl, which I've never seen done before. It's usually made fresh, and this felt like a lazy shortcut. All in all, the attitude, lack of effort, and poor quality made this a really disappointing experience. If your employees don't want to serve customers up until closing time, maybe they shouldn't be on the schedule. I hope this is addressed properly, because this was unacceptable. read more

Every visit here, before I order I insist the staff handling my order Put on a fresh clean pair of gloves. The staff are not cordial and are so bored with their lives being in this job it shows. One particular staffer always seems to be more concerned about her drink in hand than helping customers, and she really needs to be fired asap a la Elon Musk! The serving area is always messy, not neat and sometimes needs to be cleaned from spillages. Suggestion for the nonproductive staffers: make use of your time cleaning the shop and making it look presentable, perhaps it will draw in more customers! And more importantly, have a positive attitude or Cha Cha Matcha yourself out. I'm very proud of Cha Cha Matcha and how far they've come along since their days in New York, they have 3 locations in Los Angeles alone and definitely still growing. Their Matcha doesn't have any sweetener and people need to understand that in Japan, it's traditionally drank unsweetened, the founders went to Uji, Japan themselves to get a firsthand experience. I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of their signature strawberry matcha drink, which was $10!! and had a really strange, unpleasant after taste. I tried my friend's pink drink and it was a lot better, so I would definitely recommend going with their other unique drink options. My favorite is definitely the seasonal pumpkin spice soft serve, which is just so creamy, flavorful and refreshing! You can tell that they use really high quality milk, and I love how the soft serve isn't icy or watery at all. They also give you such a huge serving for only $6, which is really surprising considering LA prices and portions. Service has been a bit of a miss for me both times I visited- the employees are polite, but they definitely seem disengaged and slow-paced even if there's no one else in the store. Nevertheless, they're always happy to give you a free sample of their soft serve so I would highly recommend stopping by and giving them a try! read more

Matcha on point and still done with a traditional whisk with motor, not like some places that just use milk frothers these days. Love that they stuck to that tradition. Matcha is medium potency and not bitter. I wish this place had indoor seating but it's ok you can sit right outside on the main floor. Oh Boy, I have no idea why this place has such poor reviews. Yes, I will say purchasing a drink from Cha Cha Matcha is a bit expensive, but so everything in Century City/West LA. I have tried a few drinks here, and what I think makes this place stand out is their Draft Matcha Latte! I have never had a draft matcha before, and boy, it is quite nice! Whenever I get an opportunity for a refreshing drink at the mall, this is at the top of my list. Before I found their draft, I have also tried their Strawberry Matcha and Purple Drink with an added scoop of matcha. I'll admit that their Strawberry Matcha is not quite as amazing as Boba Guy's Strawberry Matcha Latte, but I still enjoyed it. The Purple Drink with added matcha was also quite delicious. Cute place located in the Century City mall. It's small but has a lot of interesting matcha based drinks. The aesthetic is adorable with pink overlays. They do also sell snacks like soft serve. I got the Matcha Lemonade ($6), which has a yuzu lemonade base. Prices are what you would expect for an LA shop. I did enjoy my drink and you can still taste remnants of the matcha even with the strong yuzu flavor. Service was quick and efficient. read more

I appreciate how subbing milk was free of charge. They had a wide variety of milk options too such as oat milk, skim milk, and almond milk. I would give this place zero stars if it were possible. Food and drinks are okay. The service is HORRIBLE. Unbelievably horrendous service. Like seriously, unfathomable. I went in today 1/22/23 first customer of the day. It was literally myself, the cashier (she was cordial) and the barista (worst barista and customer service I have ever witnessed first hand). He should be reprimanded and if you have received complaints about him previously it pains me greatly to say this but it may be time to let him go. I ordered an iced chocolate latte with oatmilk. The cashier told the barista my iced drink order. He made it hot. When I mentioned it the cashier said "yeah, I told you iced..." he looked at me and very condescendingly said "oh... um... I don't think I can make it iced today... um look at the chocolate..." *picks up plastic sauce bottle and shows it to me* me: okay, what other sweeteners do you have? barista: um, honey... me: do you have brown sugar? barista: *motions to self service sweetener counter* uh, yeah... me: can you make an iced americano? barista: um, we don't have coffee... you can go next door... Now I understand this is partially my fault because I didn't realize there's no coffee here. However the barista was sooooo nonchalant and condescending that I honestly could not take it. I literally left the drink on the counter and walked out. No refund, I just had to get out of there. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. Honestly, insane experience. I worked in the service industry as both a barista and a grocery store cashier for over 10 years. Some of the best turmeric Matcha latte I've had around LA. It's a tiny spot in the corner. Once you place your order, you can watch them create your drink and don't forget to take a selfie.
