Lunch special, Enchilada, flautas w mango salsa. Black beans are so good.
    Jeesoun S.

We got back there to celebrate our Anniversary at ChaCha. Almost same, the menu was same, nothing was changed. I heard the owner passed away last year. We met and talked to him during our lunch last year. The service, foods, price are all great. I feel comfy whenever I am here to enjoy my enchilada w flautas. I was full and left my stomach for the complementary dessert, Flan au caramel. Everything was good today. But we were so sad to hear about the owner. They have lots of promo by day, weekend brunch, happy hour.... Good location to hang out in the downtown Brea.

The food here is so good! I came during lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. I got the Mix & Match, which lets you choose two items. I went with the chicken enchilada and chicken flautas, and it came with rice and beans. For $14, it was definitely a win. The portion was surprisingly generous, more like a regular sized meal than the typical smaller lunch portion. Everything was flavorful. I'm also a chips and salsa person, and their chips and salsa did not disappoint. I'll definitely be back.

Carne Asada Chimichurri | IG @moniquedao

The Carne Asada was nothing like I expected - it was much better. The steak was tender and topped with a delicious chimichurri sauce. As someone who loves chimichurri, I can confidently say this was one of the best chimichurri steaks I've had. I requested it cooked medium, and it came out exactly right with a nice sear on the outside and a slightly pink center. The nachos were interesting because they weren't assembled the typical way. Instead of piling all the toppings on top, each chip was individually topped, so every bite had a little bit of everything. It was a thoughtful presentation, although the overall flavor was just okay compared to the steak. The restaurant itself is much larger inside than it appears from the outside, with plenty of seating and a comfortable atmosphere. Service was friendly throughout our visit. Overall, the Carne Asada alone is worth coming back for.

Hello to all! Returned yesterday for taco Tuesday. Ordered the short rib tacos with rice and beans and queso fundido with chorizo. They were as always so delicious. You guys gotta try them. You won't be disappointed.

We dine at Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen in Brea frequently. We usually dine inside, but it was such a nice evening that we chose to dine on the open-air covered patio this time. We love their chips and salsa. The complementary chips were very fresh, and both the red and green salsas have a medium heat level. We also always enjoy their grade size margaritas. They are not boozy, but definitely pack a punch. I usually have the mango-habanero margarita ordered extra-spicy, but I felt like trying something new, so I tried the Tamarindo Margarita (El Jimador 100% Blue Agave, Ancho Reyes Chili Liqueur, Squirt, tamarindo, fresh lime, grande size $27). It was good, but was a little on the sweet side, and I barely got any heat. I'll go back to my mango-habanero next time. She had their limited time pineapple-poblano margarita (grande size $27). This was an off-menu special offering. It was excellent, with a great mix of fresh pineapple and a light heat and pepper flavor from the poblano. It was perfectly balanced and the sweetness was very light. I was jealous and wish I had ordered this also. We happened to visit on Thursday night which is fajita night. The deal starts at only $20 for veggie fajitas, with various proteins available for an additional cost. I had the steak fajitas ($27), and she had the achiote grilled chicken breast fajitas ($22). The meal starts with a big Mexican Caesar salad. It was very good, with the perfect amount of dressing, it was very filling. The picture doesn't do it justice, it is a large salad. The proteins arrive sizzling hot in a cast iron skillet. Our dishes had a generous amount of steak and chicken on top of a bed of peppers and onions. I got flour tortillas and she got corn. It's nice that they give you four warm tortillas wrapped in a cloth napkin. Most places usually only give you three. The standard meal comes with beans and rice but we both opted for all rice. The rice was barely warm, but we were already pretty stuffed so we barely touched it. Our server Nicole was great. She was very friendly and provided great service. My girlfriend only had a few bites of her salad and wanted to take the rest home. When they delivered our two fajita orders, spread across eight plates, they inadvertently took her salad away. Nicole made it right and brought her a full salad in a to-go box and bag. Excellent service! They often run a summer promotion where purchasing $100 in gift cards includes two additional $20 bonus gift cards. Hopefully this deal will come again soon. We will continue to dine at Cha Cha's frequently.

Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen serves up Hispanic Cuisine and the prices are not bad either! Thanks Breastie for the invite to Family Dinner Night. I opted for the Shrimp Ceviche after an entire day of eating. It was more on the Tomato Side and there was a kick from the black pepper. Not as good as Shrimp Ceviche from a Madre but not bad interpretation either. The chips that accompanied it were not bad as well. Solid place, great for Happy Hours!

Updating my review since it's been a while. I love Cha Chas! They excel at everything, from food, to drinks to service, you name it and it's 5 stars. At our most recent visit, we tried the queso fundido appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried their limited time hibiscus margarita and it tasted so good. Our server was excellent and provided great service, and excellent recommendations, including the new margarita. Needless to say, we will be back here in the future.

    *Chicken Flautas Chicken Enchilada

This is a great spot to enjoy Mexican fusion cuisine during lunch time. On weekdays, they offer an amazing lunch special for $14. You can select two dish from their lunch special menu: -1 chicken OR cheese enchilada -1 chicken flautas topped with mango salsa (very mild) -salad -1 taco (chicken, steak, carnita or wild mushroom) This will come with a side of beans and rice. I ordered their chicken flautas and chicken enchilada. I honestly couldn't finish it so I had to take it home to finish. The value is amazing, especially during these inflated times. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. We were taken care from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left the door. Lively decor and a beautiful bar right in the center. Great to start a lovely date night

Came here for the first time on Wednesday and had their happy hour menu at the bar, it was good and they offer chips with 2 salsas! I'll be sure to stop by more to experience their dining/dinner service, as i loved the enchiladas. I will say, my flautas were not crispy so I didn't enjoy them as much, but still really excited to come here again! A lot of people were there, clean and tidy, kind staff.

Great experience at Cha Cha's. Met up with some friends for dinner on a Saturday evening. Was pretty busy but we had a reservation. Desiree was very attentive and made our experience a pleasant one. Food was pretty good but the drinks were even better. I had the large Cadillac margarita. Delicious. Would recommend Cha Cha's if you're looking to have a good time and want to have a nice experience.

    Carne Asada Chimichurri

We came here a second time. I got something different this time. It was the Capas which had goat cheese on it. It's very heavy on the sauce. I wish it was a little lighter but I still loved the flavor. The carne asada, amazing as always. The potatoes are just the perfect crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We also were given the flan and churros for dessert. The flan was our favorite. I've never tried flan this good before. I really liked the texture of it. The churros were delicious. I didn't really like the raspberry sauce that came with it. It was more sour and tart. I also want to give Sara a shoutout for taking care of us this night.

Cha Cha's is a favorite when choosing a fancier restaurant for happy hour or dinner. The decor adds energy and was thoughtfully selected. The service is excellent and each person we encountered was friendly and welcoming. They truly care about the customer experience and welcome feedback. It feels like they have the right amount of menu options and everything we ordered was well made and delicious! I've been here a few times and each time has been a great time.

Had such a great experience the last week, so we decided to go back again. We definitely were not disappointed as the both the service and food were great. Both our servers and even the managers were very attentive checking on us through out the night. Decided to try some other dishes like the chicken mole and seafood enchiladas that were great. We were able to try the other deserts but I still feel the tres leche cake is still the best. Hint: on the weekends the restaurants here get pretty busy so I highly recommend making reservations.

He made the reservations online with Nine Social but when he got the confirmation, it said for Macallans so he called and spoke to the manager and we got a table here. Wine list was extensive and since he knew a lot about wine.... I told him to just choose for me. We did a pinot noir to start and then went to a cab. The cab was great! I ended the night with a moscato. I ordered the mango tango and he ordered the wedge. Both delish! The mango tango had that sweet and salty blend perfectly. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. It was really good! Service was excellent! They let you try the wine before you order a glass! They checked on us constantly and were really attentive. The place had an older feel to it and it's quaint. I like the coziness of it. They had live music going on and Tom the pianist did a great job! He sang to me when Tom was playing. Super sweet! Their front of house focus is the wine bar, but they also have a good cocktail and martini menu, as well as a nice selection of food items. The interior is warm and cozy with two different seating areas. The larger front area has bar seating, quite a few tables, and a lounge area in the back corner with several couches. There is another area in the back which is smaller, and houses their cocktail bar and a number of two seat high top tables. You can order anything on the menu from either area. We sat at the bar in front for some Sunday evening cocktails and small bites. We started out with the spinach & artichoke dip ($15). The dip came out very hot, was a big portion, and was very good. However, the menu said it came with toast points, but instead it was served with tortilla chips which were just ok. The advertised toast points or fresher tortilla chips would have made this appetizer better. My first cocktail was the Limoncello Martini (vodka, fresh Limoncello, lemon juice, $15). I usually love anything lemon and this was a good martini with light lemon flavor. She started with the Purple Martin Martini (vodka, raspberry puree, pineapple, $15). This was another good martini with light sweetness from the raspberry and pineapple, not a sugar bomb. We wanted a little more food, so we ordered the Caprese flatbread ($18). It was a good size, and the dough was great. It had a good amount of cheese and tomatoes, and I really liked the balsamic drizzle on top. However, it did not come with the basil that was listed on the menu. Next, I tried the Peperoncino Martini (vodka, Italian Peperoncino brine, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, $15). I loved this, one of the more unique martinis I've had. She liked her sip so much, she ordered her own for number three. Her second cocktail was the Carmel Apple Martini (carmel apple vodka, Licor 43, lemon, star anise, caramel cube garnish, $15). Most of the time, you would expect a caramel apple martini to be a sugar bomb, but not this one. The flavors were great with a light sweetness. And who doesn't like a caramel square treat? For my last one, I had the Cinnamon Sleigh (bourbon, cinnamon spice, maple, orange twist, $15). This was a good sipping finisher with light cinnamon notes and those great orange aromatics. KJ was our server, and she was very sweet and friendly. We came early in the evening and it was a little slow, so we chatting with her quite a bit. I'd take a half point off for the two food items not coming with the listed items, but rounded up to five stars overall. The bill had a 3% charge added for using a credit card. They have a music trivia night on Thursdays which would be fun to try. We enjoyed our first visit here, and will definitely return again.

We visited on a weekday evening for dinner and found that the restaurant had largely retained the same look and layout from its days as TAPS. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only a couple of other occupied tables during our visit. While the menu offered a variety of options, it looked limited and, more importantly, significantly overpriced. Signature rolls ranged from $24 to $26, and even a simple pork-and-rice dish was priced at $25. We ordered the Chicken Tequila Cream Pasta, the Dragon Roll, and two fish tacos. Unfortunately, this is where the experience took a disappointing turn. The Dragon Roll, despite its premium price, looked very basic, consisting mostly of rice with very little filling. The quality and presentation reminded me of sushi from a grocery store counter. The Chicken Tequila Cream Pasta was essentially chicken Alfredo with red bell peppers, served with a slice of basic buttered toast. The fish tacos were another letdown. For $16, the plate included only two small tacos with no rice, beans, or side dishes, just the tacos themselves. To make the experience even more unpleasant, there were no complimentary appetizers, such as bread or edamame, to enjoy while waiting for the meal. The food overall was underwhelming and did not justify the prices being charged. The one bright spot was the service, which was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Overall, Geisha failed to deliver the quality or value its prices suggest. Save yourself the time and money and visit virtually any other restaurant in downtown Brea instead. You'll thank me later.

The place is smaller than i thought and there only one restroom per gender. The service was great and the staff was really nice. They also have happy later in the night which awesome. The only thing was that table were messy and there are no trash cans. The tables were littered with bottles, glasses, and pizza boxes. We had to move aside pizza boxes and bottles to get a table. The staff didn't bother coming by to clear up the table at any point through the night which was really weird. The parking lot is pretty big but then again at night only the bar and liquor store are open in that shopping center.

Day drinking in Brea,California…read more.. We originally wanted to visit Shady Nook for an hour of karaoke, but we ended up just chatting, having soft drinks, and munching on complimentary popcorn! We didn't want to disturb the other customers with our singing... haha! We could have played pinball or billiards, but we just wanted to hang out together and enjoy the calm, air-conditioned environment at opening time. We didn't have a reservation. We were the first customers of the day. Diane was our friendly server/bartender. She was cheerful and made us feel welcomed. I admired her for opening up the shop, taking our orders, paying attention to each patron, serving everyone, and cleaning up after us! She's amazing! I think we should return on karaoke night... then we can blend in... haha! We also would take another photo at the Photo Booth... and get our picture via email!

So fire. The steak one of the best I've ever had. We shared the 20oz Ribeye cap. It was cooked very…read morewell, with an amazing crust, flavor, and tenderness. The sides were all very good. We got the gnocchi, potatoes au gratin, and creamed corn. Gnocchi was my favorite and had very good flavor (very rich with the mushrooms). The potatoes were tasty but got a bit neglected competing with the gnocchi. Both dishes were very heavy. The creamed corn was very tasty and was a nice switch up from the other sides. We finished off with the butter cake. I'm not normally a cake guy, but that butter cake is something else. The caramelized layer at the top adds a nice crunch, while the cake itself has great flavor and texture. The service was great too! I really enjoyed the entire meal and have nothing bad to say. If I'm gonna splurge on a steakhouse, this is the one. Excited to try more of their offerings.

I looked online for a dress code but didn't see an official policy on their website. Most folks were dressed up, but I saw some more casual outfits too so I wouldn't stress too much about it. Here is what we ordered: - Bread: Fist basket is complimentary and any additional refills are $8 per basket. One is more than enough for two people. They had an assortment of three different breads and all were tasty. - Jidori Chicken Schnitzel: This is a thinly sliced, breaded, chicken breast topped with capers and served with a charred half lemon and a lemon/butter sauce on the side. It was juicy and the breading added a nice crunch. Amazing flavor and I would order this again. - Center Cut Ribeye (Medium Rare): The steak was served with some roasted garlic and rosemary and was cooked perfectly. - Potatoes Au Gratin: The flavor for the potatoes au gratin was there, but I wish the potatoes were sliced more thinly. They were too chunky and I felt some bits needed to be cooked a little longer. - Brussels Sprouts: This is THEE side to order. The bacon steak is an add on for $10. Pricey, but necessary. They were so good and we couldn't get enough. - Butter Cake: If you know about Maestro's famous butter cake, then this is strong competition if not on par with Maestro's. Absolutely delicious and paired very nicely with their cappuccino. Service was 10/10 as well.

Perfectly sweet and served with dulce de leche, strawberry syrup with fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream.. they all go well with the butter cake. Of course that was for dessert.. but to start for lunch, I ordered the house taco selection which comes with 4 tacos (Korean, steak, birria, and cueva tacos). I loved the cheese crusted tortilla on their tacos, and the cueva taco was my fave out of the four! The steak was dry so it was my least fave but the Korean and birria taco were also yummy! Nice way to sample their different tacos! Their guava agua Fresca was a refreshing drink to go with my tacos. My friend ordered their cheese enchiladas in their cream red sauce. She said it was different from any red sauce she has ever had but she said she enjoyed her enchiladas. Service was attentive and friendly. Each server checked in on us regularly. Came here on a Saturday for lunch and it was surprisingly not busy at all like how it used to be. Overall, the food was just like I remembered and I wish I had come back sooner. I'll def be back again to try other things on their menu!
