    Fried Zucchini.

This place has changed from my last visit; it is now a sit down restaurant with great atmosphere! Super clean. Outdoor seating is available. Friendly and attentive service I'm sure it gets busy on the weekend.Parking garage is located behind the restaurant. We got our food rather quickly. Everything was delicious. I do prefer the chicken kabobs over the steak kabobs; the chicken was more tender. Definitely coming back!

Brought our relatives her for lunch. Short walk from the parking lot to the entrance. Dining area was clean, bright and welcoming. Decor is very modern with nice throw pillows on the bench seatings. My wife and her sister said it was very comfortable. Service was excellent and very helpful and friendly. We shared an appetizer of fried zucchini which was served hot and was delicious. I ordered the sirloin steak plate with basmati rice and fried artichoke hearts. My wife ordered the steak kabob with sides of Mediterranean salad and grilled vegetables. We also ordered a falafel ala carte. Their falafel is soft on the inside and yummy. Our other guests loved their kabob plates and the meals were very filling too.

This is one of my family's favorite places to dine! Food is always delicious and freshly made! This time around, we ordered most of our dishes from the Happy Hour Menu. Service is also excellent! Parking is available in the structure right behind the restaurant. Most of the time you'll have to go up to the second or third levels due to people going to the UFC Gym right next to the Olive Pit.

Although the Olive Pit is in busy Downtown Brea, there's a parking structure right behind the restaurant, so parking is a breeze. They have a very nice patio area as well as spacious and stylish indoor seating. It was a bit windy today, so we chose to sit inside. There are both tables and half table half booth seating, and the booths are very homey and comfortable in that the backs are lined with an assortment of throw pillows. Our server today, Chris, was one of the best servers we've had in a while. He didn't make us feel rushed, checked on us regularly, was very personable, and just had a great sense of humor. My friend ordered the margarita flat bread and thoroughly enjoyed it. The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings were generous without being too heavy to weigh down the crust. I had the lamb gyro wrap and upgraded to feta fries for my side. The feta fries had a very generous amount of cheese and was really good. The lamb and veggies in the wrap were nicely proportioned, but it could have used more of a dressing or spread to tie it together better. It was an enjoyable visit thanks to Chris. The food was filling, so we didn't have room for dessert, but I have my eye on the baklava ice cream when we return!

Another great experience at one of my local favorites. Thank you Jasmine for the amazing service. We had a few of the happy hour items (flatbread, 2 salads, drinks and fried ravioli). It was very affordable ($40) and we had left overs. The flatbread pizza with the honey was my favorite. Light crust, spicy kick with honey drizzled on top.

Olive Pit was solid across the board. OCTOPUS: 4/5. So tender and packed with flavor. FETA FRIES: 5/5. Perfectly crispy. SO addictive. FRIED ZUCCHINI: 4/5. Also delicious but didn't hold up as well over time; definitely something you want to eat right away before the moisture takes over. SALMON: The fish was perfectly cooked, but the rice was a bit under and the side Caesar didn't do much for me. Service was great, super friendly and on it. Tons of seating both inside and out, and bonus points for the parking structure right behind the restaurant for easy in, easy out.

    Calamari. Spanakopita.

Me and my friends were looking at pictures of the food and it looked delicious so we gave it a try. Did not disappoint one bit!! There is a huge parking structure out back so plenty of parking available. You're able to access the restaurant through the patio and it's located right next to a UFC gym. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and the decor is very beautiful. We ordered the calamari, spanakopita (spinach & feta pie), grilled lamb kebab, and grilled chicken entree. The lemon aioli for the calamari was amazing, I couldn't stop eating it. The spanakopita was decent but a little dry in the middle. We ordered medium for the lamb and it was nice and pink, with the perfect chew. The kebabs and entrees come with 2 sides, I definitely recommend their hummus , especially the melitzanosalata (eggplant hummus). Regular hummus was more beany while the melitzanosalata was on the sour side and packed more of a punch. The chicken was a bit dry but had good flavor. Overall, service was amazing and the food was pretty good! Fully enjoyed the meal and would definitely be back to try other dishes and the house made hummus.

Ground lamp musaka! So good! And huge!

Joined my friend for lunch here and it was packed from about 1-3pm! We shared the calamari and the loaded fries. Calamari was tasty and crispy with the dipping sauce, the fries were a little too soggy for us, it came in a Togo box. I had the ground lamb mossaka which was huge and so flavorful, and my friend had the grilled shrimp plate with mushrooms and tzatziki. We finished with tiramisu, non traditional style, tasted like a tiramisu mousse, they put kanef at the bottom though it wasn't crunchy. And the biscuits on top. It was okay, I probably would opt for something different next time. We sat outside which was comfortable in the booth like seating, the servers were kind and accommodating and they have heaters outside. Also the fig martini is the perfect blend of refreshing and sweet, but not too sweet.

I could not stop eating!! Everything was fresh and delicious! Came on a Monday for lunch and there was plenty of seating-large dining room. (We sat outside (the chairs were a tad hard to get in and out of and were definitely weather worn.) Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered an entree and you choose your sides.. time to be good, I got a salad and lemon chicken soup...but I missed the boat!! I ended up helping my friends with their rice!! The rice was special!! The salmon was cooked to perfection- soft and flaky. Lemon chicken soup is always a fav...they Mediterranean salad was fresh a light vinegar dressing...beware..the olives in the salad have pits!!!!

Lots of seating and yummy food! Service was good, our waiter was very nice and accommodating. I got a steak plate with tzatziki and basmati rice. The food steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. The tzatziki was very flavorful and paired well with the steak. My friend said she enjoyed the falafel. Overall the food was a 4/5. There is lots of parking in the back structure.

Happiest hour is always happy hour! Olive pit is hands down a great spot for any meal and always my go to when I take friends to a spot when they're craving the cuisine. Ordered the trio of dips with pita bread, feta fries, and fried zucchini! Great shareable with a little mid day drink to pair well! Service was lovely and very efficient! Ended the evening with tiramisu. Different than your "traditional" tiramisu but still yummy!

    Grilled Octopus - yum!

Came by here for a late dinner around 9:00 after the gym since it's right next door. The menu has quite a few options so it was hard to decide, but ended up with the lamb kabob with artichoke hearts and fries, and the grilled octopus. The lamb kabob was okay, kind of chewy and a bit hard to eat but it did come with grilled veggies on the skewer. The fries were good, some were a little hard but came with a large portion. By far my favorite items were the artichoke heart and the octopus. The artichokes were fried and crispy on the outside but soft in the middle, and the octopus was also very tender and came with pickled veg on the side. Our waitress was also super nice and the service was great; she said her favorite dish was the lamb gyro which I would like to try next. There are a lot of food options in this plaza, but I would recommend this place for a good hearty dinner!

My friend and I had lunch on the patio and waited a solid 30 minutes just to get water. The service was painfully slow and careless; tables around us were left uncleaned, and when our food arrived, we had no utensils. After asking the food runner and waiting around while our meals got cold, my friend finally had to get up and track down silverware herself. When the waiter finally acknowledged us, he literally threw the utensils onto the table. Then, when we asked for extra napkins, he actually put his hand up to block us and just walked away. I was so shocked by the blatant rudeness that I called for the manager. While the manager apologized and gave us a free dessert, a sweet treat doesn't fix a total lack of professionalism. If employees hate being there that much, they shouldn't be working in hospitality! Management is also to blame by keeping them employed. When reading some of the other reviews, seems like service is really lacking here and the waiters have major attitude problems. The food is always great, but this type of behavior and level of disrespect makes me never want to come back. I will take my money elsewhere.

Bottom Line Up Front: If you like Greek food but don't want…read moreto pay big bucks at an traditional sit-down restaurant, Apola can be your yummy, budget-friendly alternative. The Food: Let me start by saying this is clearly an American take on Greek food, so if you're looking for super authentic food, look elsewhere. But if you're OK with a fusion, Apola will satisfy your Mediterranean craving. There are gyros (pita wraps), bowls, combo plates, and burritos (see, there's that American take I was talking about). All of them range in quality from average to really good. Though I've been here several times, I'll focus on my last visit when we got "the Works" pita wrap and a Greek salad bowl. For the Works, it comes with all the fixings, your choice of protein, and fries stuffed inside (yes, inside, not as a side). I chose beef-and-lamb gyro meat, which came in a huge portion. (Pro Tip: I pulled the fries out and got a "free" side. Of course , there's not a lot of fries, but enough to satisfy my fried food craving.) The gyro was big and tasty. For the Greek salad bowl, we also got beef-and-lamb gyro meat. Once again, they hooked it up with the quantity. Nice! The ingredients (tomatoes, cucumber, feta, etc) were all fresh and seasoned nicely. Side note: I do find it odd that they call this dish a salad bowl when it comes in a rectangular plastic tray. But semantics aside, it was quite good. I also ordered a fountain drink and got a Coke. It was nice a crisp with a lot of carbonation. Just the way I like it. It's not as good as the exclusive Coke blend at McDonald's, but was a close second. I have had some pretty watered down Cokes at other places in recent years. The Service: There were two young gentlemen working the last time I visited, and they were both friendly and knowledgeable. They even brought our meals to our table, which was a nice touch for a fast food establishment. The Setting: It's located inside the recently revamped Yorba Linda Downtown, which has revitalized the area and made it a pleasant place to hang out. Unfortunately, on weekends, it's hard to find parking sometimes. Fortunately we came on a weekday and got parking nearby. Inside, Apola is clean and tidy with roughly enough tables and chairs for a variety of party sizes. The Conclusion: Apola offers good Mediterranean-inspired food for a reasonable price (compared to other restaurants these days) -- just don't expect it to be 100% authentic Greek food. It's not perfect and not super cheap, but with the right expectations set, I plan to return on semi-regular basis.

Although some people may see the price tags and wince, they do not skimp on portions. They will fill your plate to the absolute brim, give you one huge pita, and send you on your way. The flavors on the food are nothing to scoff at either. The hummus, tabbouleh, and beef skewer are absolute hits. Flavorful bites with the perfect amount of balance between the acidity of the tabbouleh, the light and rich hummus, and the meatiness of the beef. The shrimp skewer is tasty as well but not something I think I'd get again. The rice pairs well with everything, and as I've mentioned before, the humongous pita they give you is delicious as well.
