I won't be back. I don't mind deep tissue or painful massages but they are generally beneficial. My neck hurts now due to the technique and painful touch of the massage. I asked multiple times to go softer and the "masseuse" did not. I also don't think he knew how to massage. The first 5 to 10 minutes were spent just putting weight on me from above in different areas. Thats not a massage. Also he just pulled and squeezed at tendons at multiple times. My real regret is not stopping the massage and leaving but I was with someone else getting a a massage too. The cheap price is not worth it. Go elsewhere. read more

AMAZING. So cheap and such a great massage. It's hard to not go here on a weekly basis....My only complaint is that you are right next to other people getting massages. Made an appointment for a mani/ pedi at the Montana Avenue location, however when I arrived, they told me I would have to wait another 15 minutes. This is after I had already gone to the salon as a walk in at 10am and was told their staff doesn't arrive until 10:30am. I have seen this happen at this location numerous times where a client has an appointment, but because they do not want to turn away any walk in business, they try to make their appointment clients wait. It's a pretty location and very convenient for me, but there are at least 7 other options on Montana Ave. that are only blocks away. read more

Richard did a great massage, checking to make sure I was comfortable and the pressure was right. Curtains hang between beds for privacy and the hour was a full 60 minutes. I love this place, truly. I can provide a review of pedicures, gel manicures and the full body massage as I've experienced those services. All are the best I've had and I've been getting all three for about 15 years so I have a long list to which I can compare. My gels are done without any flaws and remain looking good for 3 weeks which is days more than one should expect. My pedicures are very good and also last. The thing worth noting about the pedicures is the pretty seating and bowls they use. The environment is elegant, clean and inviting. I'm able to gaze out of the floor to ceiling storefront windows and watch Montana Ave go by which adds to relaxation. A word on the massages. They are comprehensive, deep if that's what you like and I do, and affordable. I only had one but I've watched many customers reactions after their service. It's funny. Seeing grown ups smile like kids. Another positive is scheduling. They'll accommodate me if I walk in or need to reschedule four times in a week without making me feel like an annoyance. They work with me at every turn and are always welcoming. The staff are comprised of kind people who are quickly becoming an important part of my community. I look forward to going and seeing all of their faces. The owners are lovely and I believe that's what sets the tone of the business. From top to bottom this place is beautiful. Just after returning from a job in China I was having dinner across the street with a few friends and ended up chatting about China the whole dinner. One of the things I harped about during dinner were the awesome Chinese foot massages found all over China and something while I was there I relied on to keep me going and in good health. After dinner the four of us while walking back to our parked cars happened to pass this Cha Spa, it was perfect, I couldn't let us pass without inviting my friends in for a trial run at a foot massage. The place was spotless and pleasant. They accommodated all 4 of us at the same time. It was wonderful, it was exactly as I had been explaining it during dinner, we were momentarily transported to China and were getting that thousand year old traditional foot massage that I had relied on to keep me going while I was in China. They hit all the same points that caused me to relive all those painful experiences from my childhood, well done! The folks at Cha Spa made my stories during dinner a reality, everyone had an awesome time and got to experience a truly Chinese experience. The workers were clean, professional and really great at their craft. My only reason for the 4 stars is that it can be a little noisy due to others coming in and out so it can kind of disturb your relaxation. Booked an hour massage for me and my son. It was aWFUL! I felt like i was getting beat up on. Truly rough and the opposite of relaxing. I am a physician and at one point i became alarmed that the roughness and pressure of the massage would cause physical harm from all the pounding and pain. No lotion or oil was used, it felt very dirty. The blanket they gave us was used by the clients prior. My son is young and i made an error trusting them to be gentle bc they were not at all gentle and didn't take the precautions that the more luxurious spas take. Granted, you pay for what you get- i would recommend Happy Feet any day over this place. We ran out there as quickly as possible and I was so relieved when my massage was over. My son is in severe pain today from his massage. Do not get a full body massage. Also, it looks clean but it is not. They didn't wash their hands prior to massaging us, i didn't see any sterile buckets used in between clients for the foot rubs they use where they put your feet in warm water, and the blankets are not changed out in between clients. read more

I ordered a gift certificate and it had not arrived when I wanted it to. I called the spa and they offered to courier one to its destination that day although they said it was mailed 4 days previously. We decided to wait one more day and it arrived. I call to get an appointment for a Silver II package, and instead of giving me an appointment time, the receptionist/manager says she'll call me back. Kind of weird that you just can't make an appointment for a service, even after being put on hold, but OK, I'll go with it. About 30 minutes later I do get a call back and they can take me within 15 minutes. Since I live down the street, it's not a big deal to throw on some sweats and go. However, when I get there they act like I'm not supposed to be there and tell me they have no record of calling me. They even act as if they can't even take me. This, in spite of the fact that there are no customers in the manicure area and four employees not working, one of whom is on the cell phone. Not a good way to start things off. Very disorganized. Mildly stressful. However, with the new Cha Spa offering manicure services, I thought I would give it a try and have an hour massage, which is included in the Silver II package. Mani-pedi area is very pretty, but not at all relaxing. The set up is just too uncomfortable. Those long couches and stiff backs just don't cut it and leaning on pillows is just awkward. The mani-pedi was fine, but nothing special. My advice would be to go to your usual manicurist and relax in those wonderful massage chairs they have. The massage on the other hand was to die for. This place kills it for massage. For the price, the location, and the parking, you can't beat it. Linda was my masseuse today and she was fantastic. She is truly amazing. I left there relaxed and happy, which is a good thing because the mani-pedi part of the package was just average and how I was treated when I walked in sucked. I won't go back for a mani-pedi, but they definitely have my business for their massages. read more
