Good selection of regular and gel polish. Diverse array of services offered. Salon is generally quiet. Cons: The space smells strongly of fumes and food that the staff heat up in the back and eat. Very hot and stuffy inside. Oversized chairs are aesthetically nice but not maintained -- found nail clippings and hair all over my seat before I sat down for my service. Not a relaxing ambience for somewhere that markets themselves as an above average experience. Staff try to upsell you several times throughout your service. Had a very rough, rushed, and sloppy pedicure from Cindy. Had to ask several times for her to slow down, be more gentle, and remove gel polish that had solidified all over my skin. Front desk staff ended up assigning someone else to clean up my gel pedicure. Laura was great. Their services say a massage is included with the gel pedicure. I got lotion smeared all over my feet and legs for 10-15 seconds as my "massage". It's so easy to take 3-5 minutes to help people relax, especially when they're paying $75+. They used regular nail polish so as I left the girl at the front desk said that nail polish is only gonna last you four days this place is a joke money hungry people.!!!! This was an AWFUL EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE. The woman doing my nails was squeezing my fingers so hard, then digging the tools into my nails. I literally flinched and said ow multiple times and asked if she could be more gentle, she said she could not be more gentle that's just how it was ... I have gotten my nails done for years and have never had that experience? One of my fingers is swollen from her digging the tool in. The gel manicure itself is also comically bad. It is lumpy all over with clumps of gel on the end and bubbles. It looks like I have a nipple on one of my nails. Pictures attached. I have been going to this location a few times now and like that they're very organized and on time and always seem professional! However, this las time the manicurist that worked on my hands did a horrible job because on day 4 of getting my nails done, they stated to peel on the sides! I went to this salon for almost three years - I used to love it. When the management changed a few months ago, everything went downhill. I'll explain, but first and maybe most importantly, I attempted to reach them twice via email and direct review to provide real feedback outside of a public forum with absolutely zero response. As someone who received regular manicures and pedicures here for years, it's shocking that I didn't even receive an acknowledgment of the feedback, nor a commitment to getting better. I also want to call out that I don't believe this is a result of the nail techs, but rather being overworked and frustrated by their new normal. 1. This used to be a nail salon that promoted impeccable hygiene. The last three times I went, the chairs were wet, there was trash next to me on the tables, and water everywhere on the floors. 2. I loved the environment that promoted a sense of calm - now, everything feels rushed. The last few times I went, I was told that the nail techs weren't ready so I'd need to wait for 15 minutes. Not the end of the world, but then my appt felt rushed and they no longer had a stock of water or anything to offer while the time passed. 3. My manicures were still "good," depending on the person, but they were no longer relaxing. 4. My last visit, there were three people left getting treatments and we overheard the front desk arguing with a nail tech, instigated by the front desk. It was so uncomfortable for everyone there, and I could not believe what I was hearing. To me, it seems like the level of stress is stemming from the top and causing the normal level of service to slip solely due to the environment. I live in the area and always drive past the salon. One thing that stood out for me that every nail salon should do is the option to tip your nail tech via Venmo. They had a list of their staff with their Venmo barcode right on the counter where you pay. You can pay with cash or credit cards and then tip your nail tech via Venmo if you don't have some money on you. The pedicure was excellent. Grace, who did my toes, was very gentle with me. I just had the strangest experience here today. My first time, I did the power pedi with dazzle dry. First, this should be a 3 step process for the dazzle dry application alone - base, color and top coat. Tech did one coat of color and then packed up her tools and left the chair without a word. The worst! I treated three of us to mani/pedis. Some were gel, some regular. It didn't matter. The gel peeled off my daughter the next day. I went for a walk at the beach and my gel pedicure scratched off on every toe. And my friend who had a manicure with no polish admitted how bad hers was when I told her about mine. That's five technicians working on two sets of feet and three hands. How is it possible to have that many untrained people in one salon? The woman working on my pedicure seemed angry. She was actually shoving my legs and feet hastily where she wanted them. It would've been comical if I hadn't paid $300 (including tip) for all of it. Actually, when the angry one asked if I wanted to pay $15 extra for callouses on my feet, I did laugh and say no thank you. Isn't that what a pedicure is for? They do have a 10-day policy on gel. I came here to get nails done for my wedding. I called in advance to make sure I booked the best nail artist. However the person who did the pedicure named Hongloan Hong was SO MEAN! She was insulting the way my feet looked as soon as I sat in the chair, had a rude attitude the whole time. The way she filed my nails hurt, and she kept hitting my feet as she worked. At some point in the process I told her this was for my wedding because I thought it would maybe help her be nicer. She was shocked and immediately changed her behavior. Apparently no one had told her it was my wedding pedicure. Even though I booked weeks in advance. After that she was very quiet-- But if I didn't say anything she would have been mean the whole time. I shouldn't have had to say anything! The bellacures reception team should have let both the manicurists know that it was special wedding nails, or done something when the Hongloan Hong was so rude! **Maisel Day Review** I'm pretty amazed at the entitlement of folks but then again, I'm also not. It wasn't the worst experience but it wasn't the absolute best. Maisel Day manicures were $2 that day. It was expected with the promotion for it to be insane with lines and with extremely high maintenance & entitled folks standing in line. I waited for a little over 2 hours personally with folks but really can't complain about the professionalism of the staff there. They were kind & accommodating especially given the circumstances. And for $2 to get a glass of bubbly was also nice. The seats were comfy & the patrons I was next to in line were also really great. I think I had a better experience than some of the folks did because, well I'm a freelance writer so my schedule is flexible enough that I was fine with being in line a bit & waiting. I even sold a piece while I was in line (huzzah for this little journalist) which is an added bonus too I'm sure. When I got to finally get my manicure the staff told me that the polish I'd chosen was vegan & would probably not last long. I went to go get different colors which they accommodated. I did 5 colors. It was pretty chill. I also learned that their pricing for manicures regularly was very reasonable. While yes the event could have gone a bit more smoothly and my manicure didn't last a super long time, I'm pretty thankful I had the experience. I know that there were others who waited a long time who were pretty angry about things but it seemed sadly that events like these also bring out some really entitled people when ultimately dude you were there for a $2 manicure.
