Coin Cake - Mozzarella $5.50 It was okay. Not bad, not memorable...just somewhere in the middle. Strawberry Matcha Latte $7.50 with strawberry popping pearls $0.75, oat milk $0.50 This was a solid drink. The strawberry added a nice touch and the popping pearls gave it a little fun texture. With so many spots offering matcha these days, I'm not sure how soon l'd come back...but it wasn't a bad stop.
"Another Day, Another Cha Tea" I've been to Cha Tea many times now, and I still pass by and think about stopping in for another round. This place has become one of my go-to spots, and honestly, it never disappoints. The vibe in here is really sweet and welcoming, one of those boba shops that just feels good to hang out in. Not trying too hard, but definitely put together in a way that makes you want to stay a bit longer than just grabbing your drink and leaving. I went with the brown sugar creme brulee milk tea with double boba and wow--this drink was actually delicious. The brown sugar flavor came through without being overwhelming, and that creme brulee twist gave it this almost caramelized richness that made the whole thing feel a little fancy. The boba was perfectly chewy, and getting double was absolutely the right call. My hubby got the Oreo creme brulee with boba which was also really good, leaning into that cookies and cream situation with the same smooth, decadent quality. Service was super quick and the staff seemed genuinely friendly. This spot has totally earned its place in my regular rotation--I keep coming back for good reason.
I know my boba teas well and this place just didn't do it for me. I ordered a Hokkaido milk tea with boba and it essentially was watered down and boba was so-so and my drink was about $7. My mom tried it too and agreed. She kept trying to get me to go inside to return it but I just didn't want to bother. My mom got the plain fresh sugarcane drink and that was close to $9! She said it was good but not worth that much. I had a try also, it was tasty but I can't justify paying close to $9 for it. I think for the price point and what you get, not that great value or taste wise. Also, the outdoor tables were in bad shape and super wobbly and could not place anything on them and they were filthy. Doubt I'll come back here again, unless something changes.
All I can say is PANDAN BUBBLE WAFFLE WITH ICE CREAM is chefs kiss! My go to dessert place after having a meal right next door at HMart. Not only do they have a bunch of options of sweets but drink options too with different toppings choices. Service is great and they're so sweet :) Great hang out spot! All pictures are from different days, that's how much I looooove me some bubble waffles!
I'm always craving a sugarcane drink for some reason and this spot is as good as it can get for me. Tons of different kinds of drinks to choose from. Service is always on point. Cute little tea shop. They also have macaroons/cookies for sale. Sugarcane coco 4/5 Iced coffee with taro 5/5 Oreo smoothie looks good but I didn't get to try it.
This place was good! After getting a foot massage in the plaza, I HAD to check out the boba place conveniently located next door!!! Cha Tea has a large menu, lots of drink choices including teas, smoothies, coffees, ice cream and food choices too. When I arrived around 545pm on a weekday, it was pretty slow. There are lots of seating options here and fun claw machine. I'd been craving matcha and decided to try the Matcha Milk Tea with boba. It was pretty good! I sat inside for a while and enjoyed my drink. It got pretty busy after that and it seemed like the two people working were getting behind. I might come back if I was in the area again.
I've been going to Cha Tea for years, but finally getting around to reviewing it since it still seems to be so underrated! Conveniently located in the H-Mart lot, this shop offers perfectly chewy boba every time. It's nothing fancy, but the drinks are so reliable -- never too milky or too sweet. And the menu is pretty huge. I've even been able to order a coffee milk tea (not on their current menu) since they have the ingredients for it. My latest obsession has been the sea salt Vietnamese coffee. Nice and strong, with a very light saltiness balance the sweetness. The snacks menu is ever-evolving, so there are often nice surprises when returning. They've recently updated the space with comfy chairs and new tables, too. WiFi is also available, so all in all would recommend!
Wednesday evening visit. They were out of sugarcane so one person in my party had to change their order. We had the lemongrass orange peach tea and coconut smoothie. There was no wait to order. It was on the warmer side inside. The service was fine.
Health hazard. Raw pate. I've made pate before, im vietnamese. Pate is blended pork/chicken liver. Post processing it will always be some shade of brown. This is red. Clearly raw. This is a repeat review. They got mine removed and tried to cover this up as a "red sauce". I came to the store and asked them about the red sauce but the person in the front didn't know anything about it. I'm from Vietnam and this was definitely raw.
What an incredible experience I had on a whim. This Boba-Tea, Waffle Ice Cream shop is a must try. I created an ice cream version of my favorite boba tea. Homemade Waffle Cone. Taro ice cream. Boba pearls and Mango popping Boba with whipped cream. The portion was large. 2 can share Can't wait to go back!
After having lunch in the HMart food court, I came here to grab drinks. It was busy but I had no idea it would take as long as it did for 2 drinks! The cashier didn't seem very friendly. I ordered a Strawberry Sugarcane and a Durian Sugarcane. Unsure if you can adjust sugar level for these since the cashier didn't ask about sweetness preference but I would recommend asking for it to be a little less sweet. Mine was the strawberry and I got the durian for my mom. We both said it was a lil too sweet. It took wayyy too long to receive the drinks. I heard them calling numbers all out of order too. It should not take 30-40 mins. Had I known that, I wouldn't have ordered
We bought 4 drinks and I have never had a boba drink that they put coffee filter on as a cover then a lid but didn't seal it with no sealing machine. Not coming back. There is plenty of boba places to go elsewhere. His attitude at the cash register was rude. Not a friendly place.
This place is a hidden gem. It's in the same plaza as Daiso and Hmart. So after some grocery shopping, you can stop by this place for some refreshing drinks and or desserts. Coming from the Bay Area, I have yet to find a place that sells fresh sugar cane juice until I discovered Cha Tea. Their sugar cane drinks are worth checking out. I love their penny wort and sugar cane option. It is a little pricey at $7.50 but it's well worth it to me. On top of their drinks, they sell shave ice, cake cups, and french macarons. The service is great! The ladies are very friendly and quick to fulfill your order. It's a clean and nice family owned place. They play music videos which might not be as kid friendly, but overall, the ambiance is a nice cafe style. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

Passed by this place so many times and never realized they had sugarcane drinks! I ordered the pennyworth sugarcane, kumquat sugarcane, coco sugarcane, and an orange smoothie. Very tasty drinks and my sugarcane addiction was satisfied. Pretty sure I'll be back soon for more! read more

2.5 stars. We came on a hot day and this was in the same plaza as H Mart. Parking was not an issue and there was nobody here around 4:15pm. There were a lot of drinks on the menu that sounded good. We ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea ($4.25) with boba ($0.50) and the Milk Tea ($4.25) with boba ($0.50). Our drinks were made after a few minutes of waiting. The Jasmine Milk Tea with boba tasted pretty light in flavor and the boba was chewy. The Milk Tea with boba was definitely not what I was expecting and the flavor was not great to me. I usually used milk tea as a baseline to see how things were at any place and this missed the mark for me. They had a sugarcane drink later which was the only reason why we came back to try. The sugarcane drink did not taste like what the sugarcane drink from another place tasted like. It was overpowering the coconut that was in the drink. I was expecting to taste a balance between the two which would have made it taste better. The drinks here could be better and would have a better rating in my opinion. read more
Stopped on by to try the hyped-shaped croissants from Lina's Macarons! They are in the same building and have a small case filled with adorable, homemade character macarons and baked goodies. Drink your boba and eat a macaron, why not?! Prices are a little high in my opinion. $7 for a croissant smaller than the palm of my hand, but we'll worth in order to support a small business. read more
Good service! Fast and organized. I had the matcha milk tea with boba. I really enjoyed it. Their boba was nice brown sugar and did not have a floral flavor that some I've had do. I like that better. I'd go back when we visit H Mart! Like to try the matcha ice cream. read more

i remember this place being super good the last time i came, but it was a while ago. but when i went today it wasn't as good as i thought it would be, but it's still boba. i got my usual boba which is strawberry green tea with strawberry popping pearls, and it was pretty good but i have a couple complaints. first one is that the worker who made my boba wasn't wearing gloves (like none of them were but whatever) but i was to scared to confront him and anyways number 2 is that the boba kinda had a weird smell. like when i was in the car with the ac blowing in my face it kinda smelled weird. like the best way i can describe it is syrup mixed with like curry read more

GOOD BOBA NEXT TO HMART! If you're in this plaza for any shopping or to eat at any of the many restaurants, be sure to come here afterwards for dessert! My Coconut Taro Milk Tea with Boba added looked so yummy before I mixed it, and it tasted great with the coconut and taro flavors complementing each other very well! The boba texture was perfect. My friends liked their drinks too! They had cute decorations inside: spider webs for Halloween and some anime decor. We opted to sit outside, as they have 5 tables outside. I'm always craving boba so we decided to stop here for the first time. There are sooo many choices it's difficult to make a decision. Many of the drinks had fruit and seeds in them which was intriguing. I think I got a passion tea with boba with seeds for crunch. I loved the flavors and the refreshing aspect. We also got taro boba tea. It was a nice unique creamy sweetness and we will definitely be back. read more
I came in for a quick drink after running errands. And I wasn't so impressed with my boba tea. I ordered the Hokkaido brown sugar milk tea, and it tasted watered down to me. It was not very flavorful or sweet, and I had a lot of half shaped boba in the drink. They did have a great menu selection, but overall, my drink was disappointing. read more
This place is right next to Thai reflexology so a cool place to visit right after a relax wing massage. Tried the fresh sugarcane juice here upon recommendation. The juice was fresh with lots of ginger slices. When I say lots I mean LOTS and it felt like there was added sugar in there. That's my guess unless the sugarcane was that sweet which is kind of unlikely. Service is relatively slow even when there are no other customers inside. But I will visit again when I'm in the area for some fresh sugarcane juice with no other added ingredients including sugar incase they add it. read more
A cute cafe! Has the ambiance of a mom and pop store with a huge selection of drinks. The coconut sugarcane juice was a highlight, tasted very fresh and authentic. And you have to try their soft bubble waffle that's perfectly paired with their ice cream flavors. read more

Got a passionfruit smoothie that was pretty decent - not too sweet or sour (lots of passionfruit seeds in the smoothie). There was an event going on today & it seems like they often have events here that are anime/kpop themed where little freebies are given out (e.g. cup sleeves, etc.) & local vendors come out to sell asspciated goodies. Probably because of the event, but service was fairly slow. No seating inside store due to the event but there were seats outside. No wifi. read more

This place was great and I love where it's located. It was pretty nice inside and there was a lot of space to sit and chat. The drink I got was amazing and I would drive all the way back for one even though it's so far from me lol. I will definitely be going again! The barista was very nice and cheerful and helpful which also added to the experience! read more

I've only been here once but first impressions was enough for me to say good things and want to come back again! For something less sweet, I would highly recommend the Kumquat (citrus or orange-like) passion fruit with young coconut pieces! It's a unique blend of fruits that you won't normally see. And then a perfect dessert for a hot Arizona day: mango snow (shaved ice) with toppings of lychee jelly, almonds, mango, and corn flakes. The menu is plentiful! Can't wait to try another option! It's really interesting that they have boba, waffles, and shaved ice all together! Their waffles and shaved ice look really yummy, definitely gonna try their injeolmo shaved ice next time. :) Anyways, I tried their Passion Tango and it was really refreshing and yummy. I was craving something kinda sour and refreshing, and it tasted exactly what I was craving for. There were plenty of passion fruit seeds, chia seeds, other fruit chunks. Yummm! read more
OK tea place if you are conveniently in the H Mart plaza. Drinks are sweetened with sugarcane rather than regular sugar so the taste is a bit diff than your traditional milk tea. Had a wide variety of drinks but we won't return as it was $6 for a regular size and didn't taste that great in our opinion. If you are new to milk tea and have no expectations then I think its fine to try! Their soft serve looked good though! read more
Boba tea spot open before 11! Hooray. I stopped in after my shopping trip and started off with a classic Thai tea. I added boba and customized it less sugar and less ice. Sadly my drink popped open in my car cup holder, but most of the contents remained. It was a good drink, boba was pretty chewy but the drink was very sweet, so not sure how much they adjusted the sugar level. It's a cute shop and the gals were friendly and welcoming. They've got an array of drinks and lots of toppings, but I only like honey boba. There's never too many boba shops so I say the more, the merrier. read more
3.5/5 When I saw this boba shop after shopping at H Mart I knew I had to try it out! With temps over 100 F these days it's the perfect weather for bubble tea, although for me anytime's a good time for boba. I got a to go order of creme brulee milk tea, a flan milk tea and a lemongrass orange peach tea. Out of the three drinks I liked the flan milk tea the best. The drink was the perfect sweetness for me and there were large pieces of flan in it which were a delicious custard-like mix in. Unfortunately, they did not add in a requested additional mix in despite charging me for it so I paid more money for nothing. As for the creme brulee milk tea, it was similar to the flan milk tea but with added creme brulee syrup at the bottom of the tea. If I had to choose between the two I'd go for the flan tea. You have to really mix the syrup in with the rest of the drink otherwise you are in for one heck of a sugar rush! I wasn't a fan of the lemongrass orange peach tea. I generally like lemongrass, but I didn't enjoy it in this tea. I'll give them another try to see if more on this menu strikes my fancy. read more
Every trip to an Asian grocery store ends with boba and today's choice was here. Located next to the recently opened H-mart, I enjoyed their boba here. It doesn't have to be boba if that's not your thing. They have so many different varieties of popping pearls, makes any drinks more fun and tasty. Since this was my first time here, I took time to study menu and a staff was patient with me while I debated what to have. Looks like this place will be my regular boba place after H-mart trip. read more
was shopping around the area & what caught my interest was the sign advertising coin cakes. looked like a delicious cheesy treat. also got their banana pudding and an orange green tea w mango jelly.. maybe i should have ordered mozzarella cheese because there was no cheese pull.... friendly staff, would return to try more drinks! read more

There are three components that makes up Joyce W.: Milk Tea, Kawaii-ness, and Yelp. Cha Tea makes a girl chatty because tea tea ("cha" means tea, homies)! Any place that can offer me crème brûlée milk tea and I'm in! I fell in love with it at Tea Maison out in Las Vegas (specifically the Oreo crème brûlée milk tea) and I was hoping to fall in love with it here at Cha Tea. And guess what? I DID! Expect the Brown Sugar Crème Brûlée Milk Tea to be sweet because, duh, brown sugar. I recommend getting it with boba for an interesting texture between the creamy crème brûlée, the tiny bits of crunchy burnt sugar, and the soft chewy boba. We also got the Lemongrass Orange Peach Tea on the side to help cut the sweetness and the tea was super refreshing. I'll be back! They have a small but interesting menu and they're running the Soft Opening special of BOGO! Best of luck to Cha Tea! I can see this place poppin' once H-Mart opens up next door! read more

If u're feeling coconutty, the thai royal will have u shaking ur coconuts all day long while indulging in the milky coconut water filled with chewy jelly goodness! I can't say the same for their brown sugar creme brulee milk tea. It totally missed the target, and had a really funky taste to it. Regardless, I gots love for Cha tea putting effort into creating a unique flavor of milk tea!! Will be back to support their creativity with other tea concoctions!! read more

I've been to H Mart a few times since moving to Arizona but haven't tried Cha Tea until now. I'm a designer and so honestly, their logo (despite the cha = tea play on words) really turned me off to coming. I decided to give them a shot today and I was not disappointed!! The customer service was fantastic and the shop was really clean. Their pricing is spot on (so much better than west of Phoenix) and they have a great selection of drinks! My husband and I tried the Brown Sugar Creme Brûlée milk tea with boba and their Passion Tango. The tea flavor was strong in the Creme Brûlée and it was not overwhelmingly sweet like most other brown sugar drinks out there. The Passion Tango had little chunks of fruit along with basil seeds and my husband and son were in love. All in all, this is my favorite boba spot now. I'm just sad it's so far from my house! read more

The ambience was great. The place looks clean and well lit. They have a ton of stuff in their menu. They also seem to share the space with a coffee shop. I ordered the Creme Brûlée Milk Tea and I was sadly disappointed. Half of my drink was filled with boba and pudding (?). I usually expect 1/5 of the cup so to me this was a lot especially since I didn't ask for extra boba or anything. It also had pudding which was the yellow jello like topping. The tea itself did not taste good. It tasted starchy like unmixed powder that they use? I'm not sure. I ended up tossing it. I'll probably give this place another try but not any time soon. I've been to Cha Tea a couple times and have been happy with my drinks! The menu is expansive so it can be difficult deciding what to get. So far, I have tried the matcha brown sugar milk tea and the sea salt coffee. Honestly I'm picky about my matcha lattes but this one made the cut! Enough matcha/not too milky and not clumpy. I was allowed to adjust sweetness level. Their boba had the right chew to it as well. The coffee is very strong so if you're not used to a Vietnamese-style coffee, be careful! I love a good strong and sweet coffee though so it was perfect for me. read more
