I have been a regular at Chaat Bhawan for many years and every time I visit, I leave happy. The food is as authentic as it gets and this place is a vegetarians paradise. I love the Thali, the various chaat options (especially the hara bhara bhel) , and my fav - Paneer Tikka Wrap. The staff is always very courteous and Savio, in particular, goes out of his way to accommodate your every request. He is very professional, polite, and joyful. Yes there have been mix up in orders but they are quick to respond and address it immediately. Kids love their Paneer dishes esp the sizzler Paneer tikka masala and their signature Malai Paneer. SHAMELESS is one word review for these people! They served us stale food due to which my husband is still suffering a bad cough which just doesn't seem to stop even after medications. We told the waiter about stale food and we weren't even offered an apology let alone refund. We emailed the owner and haven't heard a word back from him yet, this was 10 days ago btw! Came here to pick up lunch and what a mess! I ordered the snack combo (2 chaats, papad, and chai) and an idli sambar. I ended up waiting 35 minutes as there was a slew of take out orders and everyone was trying to cut through. I was excited to get my order and bolt out. Lesson learned, if you are ordering take out; make sure to call ahead! Finally got home and realized they forgot the idli, the sambar was way too spicy and the chaat was nothing to rave about. Overall, was really looking forward to liking this place but ended up being disappointed. read more

It's safe bet for vegetarians as it has too many food options to chose from. All are decent priced with good taste. I am regular here and happy with service while dining in or even for catering order. Ambiance is good however gets crowded during weekends and noisy. My personal favorites are Paneer Makhani, Malai Kofta as main curries. I also like Makki Di Roti and Bhel thali. read more

We recently dined here on a weekday craving for what use to be awesome home cooked style desi food. Their service and food quality have drastically deteriorated unfortunately. We really wanted to enjoy our meal and after spending $60, we were still not satisfied as we hardly ate anything. We ordered two thali's and none of the items tasted good...in-fact their Punjabi kadhi was stale and tasted pathetic. The kiddos got chole bhature and they were just ok and thankfully kids ate them. What a lovely dinner. At first I was a little disappointed because the tablecloth was stained with food on my side. Since it was white tablecloth they should change them if they are soiled before seating guests. I just rolled it up and tucked it under the paper mats since it was on both sides. My husband's fork prongs were really bent out of shape, but we had spoons, so no biggie. The waiter came promptly to take our order and answer any questions about the menu, which was great. We ordered the House Thali with paratha and tea. The waiter said it was a starter so we thought it would be a good way to taste various dishes, savory and sweet. It's actually a good amount of food, so keep that in mind if you're a party of two. We also ordered the Malai Paneer (this was a great recommendation), Mooli methi Makki di Rotti & Saag (from their specials menu), and garlic naan. Everything came out at the same time which I loved. And all of the dishes complimented each other. Great flavors, all hearty vegetarian dishes. We had a lot of leftovers to take home. Our waiter Sourav helped us order and came to check on us multiple times. I took off one star for the tablecloth. If they can fix that and throw out the bent utensils they'll get a 5. Earlier today I ordered the Bhel Thali, everything is very delicious. Except there was one dish I didn't like even though it's the most popular. But I'm not going to mark that down because everyone has different taste buds.It came with a little bit of everything such as the paneer, Kheer,yellow lentils( I think that's what it was) and many other side dishes that I've already forgotten the names of. Service is very good, and the server Majeem checked up on me every now and then and explained to me what the side dishes I ordered were. The meal, at least for me is so big that I couldn't finish all of it, so I took some home in a doggie bag. Their prices are very reasonable compared to many other restaurants and the servings at least for me are great. read more
