Visited this restaurant in Raleigh over a weekend. Pretty cool spot with a funky, vibrant interior--great ambiance overall. Service was friendly but quite slow. We tried a few dishes: - Dahi Puri - A bit diluted and lacking in flavor. - Aloo Paratha - Solid, no complaints. - Chicken Tikka Kababs - Pretty good, well-cooked. - Cold Coffee - Disappointing--way too watery. Overall, decent taste, but the slow service and some underwhelming items made it a mixed experience.

The vibe is there, the menu itself is an adventure. I just love the hip graffiti and Indian rap music playing in the background. The menu is so diverse -- there are spins on classics such as the tikka masala dosa, tikka masala tacos, and my favorite - which is the veggie burger. The patty in this burger is like a vegetable fritter made with soft potatoes, and then theres also maggi (instant noodles) in the burger which is amazing. It comes with a ice cold coke and masala fries (also top notch). I absolutely love a set meal and this combination is so good. There are so many other snacks and delights, I highly recommend going with friends so you can try it all. One star off as the food can take a while to make (around 30 min) for a fast casual restaurant but hopefully this can improve in the future!

We stopped here pretty late at night, when most places around were closed. So love that it stays open till late, but there isn't enough seating inside. We were craving some Indian food, so this fit the bill perfectly for us. We ordered the Amritsari Kulcha with chooke and lassi, and chicken Kathi roll. Both the dishes tasted so good. They filled both our tummies and our soul. The lassi was sweet but not overly so, hitting the right spots. While the Amritsari kulcha and chhole were not too greasy with the right amount of spice. The Kathi roll was also tasty and light. It made for a great late night meal, and would definitely recommend anyone in the area to give it a try.

We were out for a cricket game and got done around 9 pm. At that hour we were just hungry and didn't wanna wait too long for our food. We also wanted comfort so that means Indian food is the best option. We found Chaat Mandi close to the stadium and it was the only one that was open at that hour. So we stopped by and found a hymuge crowd, so we knew we couldn't do sit in. So we just order to go and were helped by the amazing server with the menus. We ordered the chicken kathi roll and the amritsari kulcha with lassi. The order took about 10-15 mins to come out, but it was absolutely delicious. We took it out and ate it on the trunks of our car . I loved the amritsari kulcha the most and the lassi. It is very hard to find those in the US but these guys hit it out the park. The kathi roll we had late at night so it was a bit cold, but it still tasted nice and was the authentic think karhi roll not the crazy loaded once you get in some places. The ambience inside felt relaxed but upscale. It was at comfortable temperature with ample lighting. I do wish they increase their seating somehow since it get filled up quickly. The live kitchen gave a nice feel to the restaurant as well. This is a great spot if you are looking for North Indian chaat in the RTP area!

I got some chicken Bhatti Ka Murgh, the chicken was very charred burnt. Can't eat it, they also took more than 30 minutes for my take out.

Located across the Wegmans in Morrisville, this establishment used to be another Indian restaurant that went by Gulli Boys. I like what they did with the decor and it does give a fresh take and is appropriate with what they're going for: street food atmosphere. We ordered the chicken kathi roll tacos and malai soya chop. I can speak on the kathi rolls, and as you can see from the picture, they're not that big or even average size honestly. The roll (aka paratha) was nice and flakey, but there was a lot to be desired. The filling was very scant and had okay flavor. Thankfully they provided chutneys on the side to dress it up, which helped out. $11 for two small kathi rolls with not much chicken and flavor just doesn't do it for me.

Chaat Mandi INTRO: Chaat Mandi is an Indian restaurant located in hatches pond lane in Morrisville. If you are going to go there, take a to go order. Vada-pav (8.99) Authentic Indian fast food you usually get at street of Bombay. We loved the flavor and presentation. Parking/ Location: They were located in a parking center, so we had no trouble finding the parking spot. Ambience and Service: The place is clean, good, has good interior décor, but place was crowded. Not good for date nights. It was a self-service restaurant, so service can be better. If you want to get an additional pav, or something you would have to get in the queue and order it, aka it doesn't matter if you are already eating or just arrived. It is inconvenient for dining experience.

i mean, it's fine! stopped here after seeing a movie to get some takeout. the location is convenient, in the wegmans area. we were starved and the service was super quick, so points on that. the decor is also gorgeous, with a beautiful wall mural, although the interior is a bit cramped. we ordered the vada pao and chaat mandi's special dal with chudidar paratha. both were fine, reasonably tasty, but i wouldn't order again. not because of the quality of the food, which was perfectly fine, but because of the outrageous prices. 2 pieces of vada pao for $9 is wild, and even wilder is $17 for a tray of dal with one (1) paratha. the portion sizes were small, not mammoth by american restaurant standards, so the food didn't even last for leftovers the next day. $26 for one meal--that too street food--is way too expensive, especially since nearby places like nukkad with comparable menu items and way better food charge less for the same stuff. i'd definitely check it out again if they lowered their prices, but otherwise it's a skip.

Excellent grilled items, great ambience, good music. Casual spot with excellent food..never been disappointed coming here. The chefs special malai chicken is my favorite. All the soya chaaps are good, too. I also love their sweets especially jilebi. They have masala chai unlimited on Thu and Fri, and it is awesome to drink chai and have their food. Highly recommend the place for a casual meal or pickup. Has the feels of a modern dhaba.

Food is not so great, but very very expensive, like a super high-end restaurant, not worth going there at all, unfortunately.

What begins as a neighborhood Indian restaurant unfolds, course by course, into something richer, a place where abundance is not excess, but hospitality. The tandoori mixed grill arrives with even greater authority than first impressions suggest, a composition as thoughtful as it is generous. Lamb chops emerge smoky and deeply spiced, their char lending both structure and intensity. The shrimp, delicately singed by the tandoor, bring a quieter elegance, their tenderness sharpened by fire. Paneer, too often treated elsewhere as secondary, is here a revelation--absorbing smoke and seasoning in a way that gives it surprising depth. And the chicken, vividly marinated and flame-kissed at the edges, carries the layered warmth and complexity that marks a kitchen attentive to balance. Taken together, the platter feels less like a sampler than a full expression of the restaurant's range, a study in texture, heat, and restraint. Then there is the lamb rogan josh, that old standard too often dulled by caution elsewhere. Here it carries depth and resonance, its sauce layered rather than merely hot, aromatic rather than blunt. The fish curry moves in another register altogether--brighter, looser, edged with the sort of acidity and spice that keeps drawing you back for one more spoonful. And the goat biryani--perhaps the house at its most persuasive--is a study in fragrance and restraint. The rice speaks. The spices do not crowd one another. The goat carries the slow-cooked tenderness that makes biryani feel less like a dish than an event. But what lingers is not only the food. It is the choreography around it: the cooling sweetness of a mango lassi against rising heat, the sweet-sharp intrigue of banana chutney, the sense that condiments here are not afterthoughts but part of the composition. The room matters too. There is care in the design, warmth in the lighting, and something deeply reassuring in a staff that seems to understand service not as performance, but as welcome. Many restaurants offer variety as a strategy. Triangle Biryani offers it as culture. That is a more meaningful thing. You leave not merely full, but expanded. And that, in the end, is what memorable restaurants do.

I had a lunch special, the Non-Vegetarian Thali, which came with a Vegetable Samosa, Dal Bukhara, Butter Chicken, Butter Naan, Rice, Raita, and a Gulab Jamun. This is the first time I've had a Thali and the presentation was beautiful. Vegetable Samosa: Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside. Mild spicy. Dal Bukhara: Delicious lentil curry! I've never had this before (I usually get Dal Makhani), and I now know I prefer Dal Bukhara because it has lentils only. Butter Chicken: Delicious curry. I loved the smoky flavor and char on the chicken. The curry was perfectly spicy (I ordered medium spicy). The butter naan, rice, and raita were all good in supporting the dish. Gulab Jamun: A delicious sweet doughnut in syrup, a nice little treat before leaving the restaurant. The lunch Non-Veg Thali is a great deal at $24, especially for the amount of food you get (I ended up with leftovers too). I can't wait to come back and try their dinner and bar offerings!

We were seated immediately and ordered drinks which were out promptly. Jaljeera, wine and the cocktail urban turban special. I loved my jaljeera, perfect sweet and tangy spicy flavour. For starters we ordered chicken chapli kabab, tandoori fish tikka and dahi ke kabab. Dahi kebab was the winner, it was crispy and soft and went perfectly well with its sweet gravy which was good twist to this simple appetizer. My second favorite was the chapli kabab, it was so soft and juicy and very light on spice. Their fish dishes were a little disappointing, I guess the fish and preparation both were not impressive. For main course we ordered their malabar fish curry which again was a disappointment, punjabi chicken curry which was pretty good, but the daal bukhara stole our hearts, very well prepared and flavourful dish. We couldn't stop ourselves from ordering some desserts, so we ordered their balu shahi with Rabri and gulab jamun with icecream. Rabri was great, but balushahi was big, seemed undercooked and bland. It's very difficult to mess up gulab jamun so that was good. The service was fast and the people were so friendly. We paid tip over the bill that already had gratuity included since we dint know, and the person came back with money and returned it saying the gratuity is included. We loved the honesty and warm gesture of the people working there. I am really looking forward to visiting this place again soon and trying their other dishes.
