Stayed here on a Saturday night after a day in Napa. The room is fairly clean and staying upstairs definitely has an advantage of noise level control (as seen in other negative reviews). It is a motel and not a hotel so do not expect much. There is a pool but we didn't get to use it. Downfall is that there was a few strands of hair on the towels in our room which always make me a little weary. If you get the room with the jacuzzi bathtub, make sure you turn on the knob OUTSIDE the bathroom to turn it on (weird, right?) Overall, the stay was nice for the price. I'm updating my review from 2/17/13. My livingsocial deal expired but my voucher states the "paid value does not expire". To make sure, I called livingsocial and the person to whom I spoke stated all I had to do was call the Inn. I did and spoke to Darcy who stated due to a management change they do not accept the "paid value" of the voucher. I'm currently in the process of resolving this with livingsocial. Switched our rooms and downgraded us without informing us, the pool is tiny and the hot tub even smaller, right next to the train. If you're looking for a cheap bed in napa it's okay, but anything else look elsewhere. The staff was helpful and nice but do yourself a favor and stay at the motel 6 next door. My partner and I booked a room at the Chablis for a pre-Valentine's day getaway. We reserved the master suite on advance purchase (major discount given, but it's non-refundable), and it was worth every penny. The jacuzzi was great, and the bed itself was fantastic. Very clean and spacious. Plus, Mariela at the front desk was incredibly helpful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants in the area. Will definitely stay here again! read more

Chablis Inn is a great place to stay in Napa. Prices were reasonable. Our room had nice flat screen with Dish Network and HBO. Room were pretty decent size and everything was neat and clean. Its 5mins drive to the downtown. Best value for money. read more

Awful awful awful! The place it's self is mehh not very clean not very friendly but ok it's napa I know for the $150 what else can I ask for right ? But when they charge an EXTRA $200 ahhhh no ! Called and asked what the charge was about couldn't tell me and were mad I was asking. They had a manager call me back first off they were rude! It's a reasonably priced place to stay in Napa. Decent location. We have stayed here multiple times because of price. They seem to have updated the inside of the rooms ok. The pillows are the smallest size pillows and VERY uncomfortable. Bring your own if you can. read more

Very clean, well maintained motel. We were appreciative of the large room as we had six large suitcases with us. Staff went above and beyond with their service as well as our housekeeper. We accidentally forgot a bottle of wine and blood pressure monitor in a drawer. We thought for sure they would not be recovered. Lo and behold we received a call some days later and Darby (the gracious front desk young lady) said they had retrieved our goods. I bought a coupon for a 2 night stay package from living social. The hotel cannot accomodate me for a weekend stay until May but the coupon expires MArch 31st.They refuse to make any concessions but said I can use the value that I purchased at any time.WTF! I buy a 2 night stay , bottle of wine and wine tasting package for $125 that I cannot use and in return I now have a Coupn that is only good for a one night stay!!! I call BS I believe they over sold their package and are laughing all the way to the bank. They sold 624 2 night deals for 4 month time period in a hotel that only has 34 rooms.Sounds fishy to me.Even if I wanted to spend my $125 that is now worth squat, I would never stay here after the thoughtless way they handles this deal.Lvivng Social is no better as hey refuse to give me a credit or refund. what can i expect from a inn...not much... it was clean, but the blanket they give u is so thin that u mind as well not cover yourself with a blanket. had to turn on the heat in the middle of the night, but it is super loud. there is a desk, free wi fi, a coffee maker, hair dryer, , and i was surprised that we got free shampoo in a little cute basket. when i booked this place i got a AAA discount. It was under $115 a night for everything. When i checked in they said it was $158 a night with the AAA. I turned on my lap top and went on there website and showed them their price. It was the $115. The guy was like oh we must have no been updated...blah blah blah, but the front desk guy fixed it for me. So as a warning make sure the price you booked and when u check in matches or they will charge u more. I believe they do allow pets. I was trying to save, but I think I learned my lesson...will always stay in a hotel now. read more

I purchased a great deal from Groupon for a two night stay, a bottle of wine, and wine tasting for two. It was such a great deal especially in Napa Valley. The room was very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We didn't have a microwave as others did but we had a fridge. We unfortunately had a room right next to some very noisy guests. They were standing outside talking super loud, banging doors until late at night for both nights we stayed. I wanted to go outside and tell them people are trying to sleep but the way they were talking didn't seem like they would have cared. Other than that we had a great stay. read more

We needed somewhere we could stay and bring our dogs. Chablis Inn was just the ticket. It's a motel, so nothing fancy, but we had a ground floor king room, with a little coffee maker and fridge, TV, desk, the usual amenities. Doggies got a gift bag when we checked in, and we were able to leave them alone (in their crate) while we went to dinner. When we first checked in, the people in the room above us were running around and it was LOUD. I called the desk and the gal quickly switched us to the room next door which had no upstairs neighbors. Problem solved. (I wonder why motels don't consider this when they first assign rooms...hmmm.) Anyway, we will go back next time we visit our friends in Napa. read more

We just stayed here and we loved our room!! It was a king room with A jacuzzi it was separate from the bathroom. The front desk girl was very sweet and helpful. Just a little word or warning the floor above does squeak but it did bit bother us to much. We will stay here again!! read more

This little gem has the charm of being centrally located in Napa Vally. It's also conveniently close to to the freeway to get to all of the hot spots on your way to St Helena. They are in the middle of a renovation but it was nice and clean for our stay. The help and management were accommodating to our needs and we will be back as the price was quite affordable. Local market is right across the street with some nice anchor shops. read more

My family enjoyed our overnight stay at The Chablis Inn. The price was very affordable and the accommodations were really comfortable. This facility was spot on for our family needs providing comfy beds, fabulous shower head stream (which in CA has become a valuable asset), close to a variety of eateries, shopping mall, fuel stations and of course Napa's tourist attractions. Love watching the slow moving Napa Wine Train pass by in the early evening (no need for earplugs) and the setting moon. We will stay here again when visiting Napa. read more

The reason I booked this hotel is because my mom is in the ICU at The Queen of the Valley hospital and I need to be close and I was excited for the hot tub that they offer as a chance to unwind after a long day in the hospital. When I booked the room and asked about the spa, Lupe did not mention that it had hours of operation only that it was a manual entry with a wooden latch door and I did not need my key to enter. At 11:30 tonight, I said goodbye to my mom for the night and my husband had brought up my bathing suit for me from our home in the Bay Area. We tried the gate and it was locked, so I buzzed the door. The night person was extremely rude and said the hours were 9 AM to 9 PM- even though there is no posting and I never read this. I paid $204 for one night in this 2 star hotel for this and I will never come back. Even when I told the night person that my mom was in the ICU, he shrugged me off and waved me away! He would not even open the door for me. This is a going down hill fast low budget hotel where the staff are dishonest and rude. Please boycott and shut it down! read more

THANK YOU! I made a reservation for a Friday night for myself and a friend (for Motel 6 next door) but had forgotten to request a room on the first floor (my friend has recently become disabled and I forget that I need to make special arrangements). Upon checking in I realized I needed a room on the bottom floor because my friend can no longer navigate stairs and Motel 6 does not have elevators. Unfortunately the only rooms available were on the second floor. YIKES! I was devastated with my stupidity. I didn't know what to do. I had a limited budget and at 6pm I wasn't sure what to do in Napa on a Friday night without a room for my disabled friend and I. Darcy at Motel 6 was sooooo amazing and sweet and immediately offered a refund and recommended another motel next door. I ran next door to the Chablis Inn and request a bottom floor room - I was in luck they had a room available. I stayed at the Chablis Inn for one night with a friend over the July fourth weekend. It was a very good stay. No fuss, just booked online and the hotel staff were very organized and friendly when we got there. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. They even had a mini fridge, microwave, and spa type shampoo and lotion in the bathroom. Chablis Inn is a very good deal for a stay in Napa so, if you're on a budget and do not want all the posh amenities from hotels like the Marriot, I suggest giving Chablis Inn a try. :) read more

This room was perfect for what we needed. Great price, considering the location. The room was very clean, and they even had it ready for us earlier than expected. The pool and hot tub were also very clean, as was the patio area surrounding it. The entire property is really cute, with lots of plants and flowers everywhere. Pros: good price, not far from downtown Napa Cons: water smelled and tasted of bleach, chunks of something in the jacuzzi, and terrible customer service. The water in the room from all sources tasted like chlorine, bleach, or some other cleaning agent. When we tried to use the jacuzzi, orange chunks expelled from the jets, lessening the appeal quite a bit. Honestly, neither of these things would have prompted me to leave a negative review (the room and hotel probably warrant 3 stars - not remarkable, but functional), but the response I received from the staff was unacceptable. We checked in on Saturday and checked out on Sunday morning, having tried to use the jacuzzi in the morning. Check out was really our first opportunity to bring this to anyone's attention, and I was seeking at the bare minimum an acknowledgement of the issue, and possibly a modest discount on the price of the room. The receptionist replied we should have told them sooner. I asked to speak with a manager and was told it was his day off. I requested he be called (on site staff should have the authority to deal with issues that arise), and was denied. Oddly, I was given his phone number. Annoyed, I left without calling and subsequently emailed the hotel 3 times on 3 different nights with no reply. Finally I called back during the week and spoke with the manager. His response to the water tasting of cleaning products varied during a long and meandering call: - The water comes from Napa itself, and all the water in town is bad so there is nothing he can do about it (water from restaurants and elsewhere in Napa was fine) - Most people go out more, and don't mention it - It didn't smell or taste oddly at all. He knew this 'as a hotel manager' (seemingly a prerequisite for being able to smell strong chemicals) - I kept changing my story about what the issue was His responses re the jacuzzi: - Some people wear sun lotion or oil, and it gets in the vents. There is nothing that can be done (others also sleep in the bed and use the toilet - like those features, the jacuzzi should be ready for the next customer to use) - Other people don't mention it His response to no email response: - No emails were received (no apology) Throughout, he was defensive, evasive, and unwilling to compromise, especially odd given that I explicitly clarified I was not looking for a refund, just acknowledgement and perhaps a discount. The hotel is ok - nothing special - and without good customer service (which is just not optional in the hotel industry), you're just renting a storage container with a mattress in it. read more

The last time I stayed here they told me not to use the toilet because the one in my room was "sort of broken," but it's the only reasonable place to stay in Napa if you're on a budget. This year I made a reservation to stay there, but canceled it more than 72 hours in advance. They charged me anyway. When I called them to point out the error the woman was extremely rude and told me that it's my problem. I made a reservation. If I didn't want to pay for the room I shouldn't have made a reservation. Now, I'm in the middle of a credit card dispute. DON'T Make a reservation here. It's not near the town of Napa, and it's not near any of the wineries. It's sort of right in the middle with not too much around it, but I suppose you get what you pay for ... and they will try to make you pay for it, whether you stay there or not. read more

DON'T GO HERE! I was just there last night (Feb 16, 2013) for a quick talk with the manager, Darcy. There was a mishap with my reservations and it was a good thing. What you don't see until you arrive is the lobby. Walk into the tiny lobby and look up. Someone punched big holes in the ceiling. Big holes! All you smell is air deodorizor or moth balls to cover up something. The manager is a rude woman. She never apologized for the errors made with our reservation and started yelling at me. Be careful here. It's not worth a cheap night. We drove home to San Jose and it turned out it's a good thing. I can't imagine what one night would be like there. read more

Nice little gem tucked away in a side street in Napa. Great little grocery store across the street as well as places to eat. Baskin Robbins as well for those who love ice cream. It is an older establishment but clean. Great little kitchenette area for those who prefer to eat their own food. The grocery/deli has a lot off good choices, including a good selection of organics and an amazing selection of wines. The hot tub was lovely. Having read the other reviews, I can't say I experienced any of the negatives I read. But let's face it...any hotel can have bug issues. I just stayed four nights in a very upscale hotel in Sacramento. Had my favorite home coffee pot with me. Got home and found the coffee pot was infested with roaches. It can happen anywhere. The staff were very accommodating. I'd stay there again, happily. No bedbugs!! read more

Horrible customer service, just like the other reviewers stated!!! I tried calling this souped up "Motel 8" to cancel my reservation after I read reviews of "insects in the shower", and was told I couldn't due to their 72 hour cxl policy. I told them that I tried calling for hours the previous day, and nobody answered the phone. They told me I was lying to them, and refused to take the first night charge off of my credit card. I will be disputing this charge with AMEX, so trust me, this low level establishment will NOT be receiving this payment. read more

Newly renovated rooms makes this well worth every dollar. It's my go-to when other hotels are overpriced.

A group of friends stayed here and subsequently on the same day all of the friends credit card information was stolen and used. This was confirmed by the bank and the friends were told all of their account information was stolen at this hotel by one of the individuals who work at the establishment and have access to the card info. The friends plan on filing a police report. In short please do not stay here unless you want your credit card information stolen. read more

I do not know what Chablis Inn some of these Yelpers went to or what they were drinking when they wrote their reviews, but I entered a filthy room, moldy smelling with dirty drapes. The lady asked if I wanted to see another room, I hesitated but succumbed. A cleaning lady had just sprayed an awful deodorizer in the room which played havoc on my sinuses. The bathroom tub, though it had been cleaned, was stained. We walked out immediately. Asked for our money back, she said she reversed it, but still three days later the charges are still there. Went don the street to the Hilton where we were treated with respect. Stayed in a beautiful room, AARP rates, cafe on site and friendly staff all the way down to housekeeping staff. The Chablis Inn had a discount through the Entertainment Book. I made a reservation as required. But when I showed up, I was informed they no longer will honor the discount. After some arguing, they agreed to a 10% discount, which they also did not honor. Very unprofessional. Now the room. It appeared clean. The king bed was a king bed, but hard as a rock which I found quite uncomfortable. The pool. Wow, I don't think it is ever cleaned. A LOT of bugs floating on the top, but even more bugs and worms on the bottom. The water was ice cold, which was just the opposite of the hot tub which was slightly cooler than scalding. Unusable. I would never stay here again and would highly recommend avoiding this facility simply because of the management. read more
