We just stayed this past weekend April 27-29 on the same groupon that other people were mentioning - 2 nights for roughly 120, 1 bottle of free wine, and a free tasting pass to Hill Estate Winery in Yountville. First of all, I gave it 5 stars, not because you are going to be waited on hand and foot like the Four Seasons, but if you understand what you are getting, it will actually surpass your expectations. It was our first time, but won't be our last. I would always rather spend my money on experiences than hotels, so this was PERFECT for us. We had a fantastic time. First of all, I had requested a deluxe room and was willing to pay the upgrade fee, but then changed my mind. I had contacted the hotel who told me they unfortunately didn't have any availability to change my reso, but to our surprise, when we checked in, they must have had a cancellation, because we didn't have to pay the upgrade, and got the standard room I had requested :) +1 star! Our room was nothing fancy, but was extremely clean. I love that they had a mini fridge that worked really well, and the bathroom was pretty nice considering what we paid. We were on an upper floor in the corner closest to the highway, and the noise wasn't that bad...the odd motorcycle jerk, but that's about it. We slept pretty soundly. There is an air conditioner that makes some noise if you have it on, but it's the same as our apartment, so we barely noticed it. The mattresses aren't pillowtop, but let's face it. You want to stay in the Four Seasons, be prepared to pay for it. We had a comfortable mattress, didn't hear our neighbours, our maid cleaned the place nicely for our next night, and we had no issues at all. My husband and I used the hot tub our first night, and it was hot and nice that we were the only ones out there. It was also very clean. Sharon was on desk most of the time we were there, and she was friendly, polite and answered any questions we had. I love that they have a basket of 2 for 1 wine tasting passes at the front desk, a Napa map, not to mention free coffee and wifi in the rooms . Oh, and we accidentally forgot paper plates for our in room dinner we had bought, but Sharon kindly looked for some for us and was able to come up with some. And it still gets better. If you do some research on their website, you can email Jeff who is their resident expert when it comes to the area. Jeff and I exchanged about 3 emails and he gave me the best recommendations on wineries, restaurants, experiences in Napa etc. Whatever I asked, he had an answer to! What an awesome service to have at our disposal. Now....I only wish that I could get this deal in another 3 weeks since I have my inlaws coming and we would love for them to experience the same thing we did....Chablis, put this groupon out again please!!! read more

The hotel staff is very unwilling to make any exceptions for extenuating circumstances. They will charge you the full amount of your stay regardless of if you even stayed. Steer clear of this place. Seems they need shady tactics and fine print to make money, a standard mark of poor quality and management. read more

Came here through Groupon and saw the reviews, so thought it was a smart purchase. It truly disrupted our vacation - we had four nights, but checked out early after night 1 and got a different hotel. Here is why: Noise - We were on the first floor, and it was SO loud. Not only was noise pouring in from the streets (it sounded as if cars were in room), but the upstairs room made VERY loud sounds when someone would simply walk across the room. We never heard our quiet neighbors upstairs talk, but simply from walking the whole ceiling would loudly creak and kept us awake. The combination of noise resulted in only 3 or 4 total hours of sleep riddled throughout the night. When we tried to turn the fan on to drown out the noise, it was WAY too loud and sounded like a car engine instead of something more soothing. Eek! Mattress - Most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. We had a King - it was worse than a pull-out bed. It was like sleeping on a rock, and the pillows were also VERY firm and very, very thick. If you decide to stay here for some insane reason, consider bringing your own pillows...and your own bed lol. Bugs/Rash - I laid down in bed and about an hour later, I felt itchy. I went to the restroom, and I have some kind of bug bites (bed bugs? Fleas? Dust Mites?) all over my back. They itched and were red. We ignored it and decided to stay anyway. When I woke up, the bites were all over my neck, arms, and stomach as well. I got a rash and itchy bug bites from sleeping in the bed. No, we did not spend any time by the river. We had been in the car until we reached Chablis Inn. No new bites after our second night in our new hotel. Crumbling Fixtures: The pipe running from the wall to the sink was visible (who cares), but where it met the wall, there was mildew, the wall was broken in multiple places, and the plaster was broken, chipped, and on the floor. No one has cleaned it up. Gave it a very 'Aladdin' feel. Chablis Inn was VERY kind about everything that happened - we were given some wine vouchers, and we were not refunded but we were given a voucher to return to the Chablis Inn. We never plan on returning after all of this, so I don't know why they would think we would want a voucher, but that's fine. Bottom line: waste of money, we were EXHAUSTED after so little sleep so it impacted our vacation hugely, and the rash sucked. Despite the good customer service, still not worth it to put up with the rest. The Chardonnay Lodge and Holiday Inn Express are both affordable, good alternatives where we have had better experiences. read more

On second thought, this place gets one star. The cars are so loud. I'm expecting the train any minute. The bed is itchy and smells funny, like a swimming pool. EDIT #2: I can't sleep it's so noisy! OMG! Mediocre at best. The rooms are run down. Lots of cracks in the walls, chalking around the tub is poor, and the bathtub faucet is leaking. I put the trash can (3.17 gallons) under it, and 1.5 hours later it's filled up about 3 inches. I estimate that it'll take about 8 hours to fill up. That's about 9.5 gallons a day. Or almost 300 gallons a month... One of the glasses for water was dirty. The Wi-Fi keeps resetting. Requiring me to sign back in. There's about twelve holes in the table with the TV. They also charged my card early, despite hotels.com stating that I wouldn't be charged until I check in. There's no microwave or continental breakfast. For the price we paid, one of those two things should be available. It has a refrigerator but still. Then when we get here, we hear the train. The tracks are about 60 feet away. That plus the noise from the highway and road is pretty annoying. This place isn't worth the money. It's a motel disguised as a hotel/inn. Definitely wouldn't stay here again. I might not rate so low if it wasn't more than the motel 6. Which is a comparable motel with this one, considering the rundown nature of the rooms and property. read more

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel (ie less than $200/night) that didn't have a minimum stay requirement and I found Chablis Inn. I booked a room through expedia and when my friend went to book a room, she was told they were sold out, but then she called the front desk and was able to get a room. Very convenient location. Clean rooms with nice linens on the beds. The bathroom could use a bit of updating. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a first floor room which was very noisy as people were walking in the room above and outside, so bring earplugs! Bottom line: great value for an overnight in Napa. read more

Chablis Inn checks every box in my short list of hotel non-negotiables: clean, quiet, ample on-site parking and a comfortable bed. Really, the draw for me was the price; I booked two rooms for the price of one (using nearby mid-range hotels for comps) and was not disappointed. For essentially a 10-hour visit, the mellow, scantly-furnished dorm-room aesthetic was easy to forgive - after all, I wasn't looking for Ritz Carlton design elements or amenities. I just turned the wall AC on, tucked into the cool linens and the sounds of the whirring fan and Dateline interview lulled me to sleep. We stayed there this past weekend. Overall I would say for the price it's perfect for a weekend in Napa if you plan being out of your room on wine tours all day. PROS: Price!!! You can't beat $99 for a single Queen, non-smoking room in Napa - for two queens it goes up to $179/night. Overall the room was very clean and looked like it had recently been renovated - nice warm colors, bed seemed a little small for a queen size bed and seemed to be a little worn (not the linens, just the mattress) - but otherwise was fine, good air conditioning, clean bathroom and the room was spacious. The grounds are well kept and the location is convenient to Napa Valley attractions as it's just off Hwy 29. About 10 mins from Yountville, 20 mins from St. Helena and 35 mins from Calistoga. If you are expecting a spa like facility - don't stay here it's more like an updated Days Inn. CONS: Pet-friendly kind of ....but not really. You can bring your dog - $10 per night, but you have to sign an agreement to never leave them in the room unattended. The area they told us take our dog if he needed to go out was off to the right and behind the hotel - there is a bike trail but it's not well lit and the area was covered in burrs....not exactly dog friendly. The floors are thin, so make sure you have a room on the top floor, otherwise you will have to listen to the people upstairs moving around all the time. Note: Pet-friendly rooms are only located on the ground floor. We would stay here again because of the price and how clean, comfortable and convenient the location was, but we definitely wouldn't bring our dog since we had hoped to be able to let him relax in the room and avoid torturing him outside in 100F weather on the weekend. There's Shabby Chic and then there's just shabby. Chablis Inn is just shabby. The room was tidy but I can't say it was clean. They're in a rotten location. For what we were charged (mid-October and I was quoted $300+/night) you'd think they could afford to make repairs. I was fearful when I saw the terrible shape the stairs are in and there was no other means of escape in case of emergency. It's conveniently located with a few great eating spots within a mile and a Starbucks practically across the street. I travel to Napa a lot for work and typically spend very little time in my room. Who: I got a king room for myself and my fiance for her birthday weekend. Napa was packed and room rates were high so we decided to get the best room Chablis could offer with a hot tub and king bed. What: We came up to Napa to go hot air ballooning, wine taste, eat at the nice restaurants, and hit a great spa. So i wanted to stay at a place a little more economical, BAD MOVE! Sometime on Saturday while we were gone I had a pair of brand new Beats By Dre head phones stolen off of the desk in the room! I woke up Sunday, packed in a haste and checked out. I called once I got home and unpacked. I realized the head phones were missing so I called. The desk guy Larry said he would leave a note and someone would call me in the morning. No one called - so I called back, this time a man said someone would call me once they talked to the head house keeper. Again nothing - so I called back and they said: "No head phones were found, because you left the property we cannot be sure that you did not loose the head phones along the way." This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had...and I do my fair share of traveling. The hotel breached multiple hotel health codes for unsanitary living conditions. I would NEVER recommend staying at the Chablis Inn. The hotel: 1) offered us a hotel room with a unsanitary restroom/a not-functional toilet 2) did not accept responsibility or offer to fix a sanitary health code problem 3) did not have the appropriate resources on staff (plumber, etc) to deal with issues such as these that may arise 4) did not provide any refund Immediately upon checking into the hotel, our room's toilet did not work. The toilet was clogged and the water was started overflowing. When calling the front desk to have them help with the issue, we were told they 'don't deal with these sorts of issues.' According to the staff, 'we don't have a plumber or anyone on hand or to call.' We basically had to beg the front desk to bring us a plunger. When the front desk employee did finally come to our room in order to 'fix the toilet', without any real clue of how to do so, he instead overflowed the toilet and then proceeded to leave the room telling us 'it is now fixed.' Let's not forget that he left the room WITHOUT MOPPING/CLEANING up the CONTAMINATED TOILET WATER OVERFLOW that HE CAUSED. Disgusting. We were not offered the option to change rooms. Instead, we had to use the toilet without flushing it for the remainder of our stay. We could not wait to check out in the morning. At checkout we asked for some sort of discount for putting up with a non-working toilet for 24 hours. After pulling teeth, I was offered a mere 10%. The hotel manager was not in sight to speak with personally, and since I have not been able to reach him despite multiple calls and a voicemail. I will continue doing so until we get a refund, and plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The hotel was not sanitary. Reading the other postings confirmed most of what I have to note. In short, I will not return for a variety of reasons. - The price quoted when I made the reservation was not what was actually charged. It seems they enhance the profit margin at the expense of customer service. They quoted one price and charged me approximately $40 more. While I immediately noted the difference their attitude was, "Gee, too late. The credit card has been run." They ran the credit card BEFORE stating the final price of the one night room. They refuse to acknowledge the quoted price. There is no way this is a $200+/night room, even in the Napa Valley. I was charged over $200 - where are these other customers getting rates of a $100 or less???? In my experience, this is a less than $100 night room. - The website shows a cute inn. When you drive up, you're next door to a Motel 6...and Motel 6looks really tempting! - Several posts note the great treatment of pets. A small sign in the room says pets are no longer accepted at the Chablis Inn. Hope they let you know before you haul Fido up there. - The room was hot when we entered, right after housekeeping. It took a long time to bring down the temp. Eventually we had to turn off the a/c because it was keeping us awake. - The plumbing is loud. I felt sorry for neighboring rooms each time the toilet was flushed. Also, the bathroom fan roars. - I did not use the coffee pot, the iron, etc. I only wanted a clean comfortable bed. I did NOT get a comfortable night's sleep. The mattress was (merely) ok but the pillows are huge and very firm. I was tempted to grab a towel and roll it for use as a pillow. - I travel often and try to check room security. I felt this room had none. The room only offered the door lock. There was no privacy chain or additional lock on the interior for guests to lock. - There are no blackout curtains on the windows, only blinds. That means the light from the walkway and parking lot was coming through all night, shining directly onto the bed no matter how I tried to adjust the blinds. - Noise... oh, the sounds! As I tried to fall asleep I listened to the conversations in the parking lot, from the walkway and the downstairs room. I heard the cars race up and down the street. The walls are so thin.....I heard every squeak of the mattress in the next room. In fact, the walls are so thin the noise woke up my partner. Neither of us were pleased. I could tell you exactly how many minutes this went on. Was it a coincidence that 10 minutes later I heard the car with the crappy engine leave the parking lot? It was not a good experience. The part that left the biggest negative for me was the smiling face, the nodding head as they said, "Yes, our price is the higher price." while they refused to acknowledge even the possibility that the price I had booked under was different (Lower!!). So serene, so polite, while I felt the management was flipping a finger in my face. I will not return. I will not refer anyone to this place. Giving it one star was being generous. Beyond the non-refundable rate, terrible customer service, mean workers, wishy washy information, and crummy rooms I would never recommend this place to anyone. We called to book because we thought the hotel was pet friendly. After unpacking (and paying $25/night extra for my small dog) we were told that we couldn't stay. They decided after telling us to leave, that we could stay. Then we were scolded while letting the dog out to do her business bc other people might see my dog. That would have all been fine, but the windows had no curtains so light was streaming into the room ALL night, and the bathroom was unfinished. To top off the worse hotel (motel in this case) experience I've had in a while, some jewelry was stolen from my room by someone on the motel (cleaning) staff. I called to talk to a manager, and naturally no one would call back. When I called back, they were very rude to me and said they have an "honesty policy" and no one took my things. I told them that policy clearly wasn't working out for them and them hung up on me. Please send your business somewhere else where you belongings would be safe and the manager and the workers are nice to their customers. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

4.5 Stars @ LivingSocial Price Came here a la the LivingSocial deal and have to say it was worth every penny. With the LivingSocial deal you got two nights, a bottle of wine, and a wine tour for somewhere along the lines of $135 or so (after including tax). Not a wine connoisseur so I can't tell you how good the wine is that they gave us (I think it is table wine) but we actually ended up staying four nights (2 coupons) without a problem and even missing out on the wine tour - still worth it. ++ Extremely Convenient Location Anyways as for the Inn itself, well you cannot ask for a more convenient location. This place is literally a left off the freeway, a left at the light once you go over the freeway, and the second left once you pass the first inn. On and off the freeway in less than a minute! In fact, at first I was a little worried that it would actually be too loud at night because it was situated next to the freeway, but I am happy to report that you really can't hear the freeway traffic and there was very few cars on the road in front of the Inn. However, at the same time because it is so close to the freeway it is very easy to get to Downtown Napa (10 minute drive) for some nightlife (though there isn't much haha) or (down to) Sonoma (30 minute drive) or (up to) St. Helena (30 minute drive) and other wineries. Moreover, across the freeway where you exit, there is a Whole Foods and Target for all you nightly needs or in case you forgot anything. ++ Clean and Spacious Rooms While the room was nothing special, it was very clean and spacious. The king size bed was huge, like it should be, and there was more than ample room to fit another two bodies in the room should there be two queen beds (or just some sleeping bags). The beds itself were quite clean and the coloring scheme was decent at bringing out that trait. Moreover, the room came with a coffee maker, extra sink, and a small refrigerator, however, the room did not have a closet but rather just had an area outside the bathroom with hangers which was not a problem. On the other hand, the bathroom was slightly on the smaller side, but again not a problem as it served its purpose just fine and was pretty clean. Lastly, while I didn't find it a problem, the TV in the room is the old school boom tube. ++ Great Customer Service Was a little worried reading some of the Yelp reviews, but I did not have a problem at all and was surprised by how nice the staff was. In fact, before we arrived we got a call from one of the staff asking how come we missed our night at the Inn and if we were going to make a wine tasting they had scheduled for us. Long story short, guess we had a slight mix up on the dates of our travel but regardless the staff member cleared it up in a jiffy and rescheduled us to the correct dates without any hassle. Upon arrival, around 8pm or so, we went into the Office and was greeted by another staff member who checked us in, gave us our two bottles of wine, and got us into our rooms within 10 minutes - Such a relief after driving for 7 hours to get here from LA. Lastly, the cleaning staff was also very good at cleaning the room and tidying it back up without disturbing your sleep in the early mornings. + Free Wifi We ended up staying the room farthest away from the Office however we were still able to get a wifi signal. Don't expect the wifi to be blazing fast, even during off-season, but again it gets the job done and it is free. Moreover, they also have a computer in the Office which can be used to check up stuff if you did not bring your own laptop. -- Loud Heating/AC Unit Minus 0.5 stars as the heater is loud...so loud that I would not recommend keeping it on at night as will probably wake you up (unless that it you are passed out from wining and dining haha). This is coming from a heavy sleeper by the way. But yes, the unit it loud and it is right next to the bed so there is not much you can do about moving the thing further away. Still thought, this was not much of a problem as it does not get that cold (even during December) and it is more than adequate to turn it on before sleeping and after waking up as the room does a good job of retaining heat. I would highly recommend staying at this place as it is clean, convenient, and a great value. read more

Affordable price however we had to choose this hotel no matter what because we needed somewhere to stay and everywhere else was booked. I booked with an open mind and the front desk lady was nice & helpful on the phone & in person. We also interacted with the gentleman that works at the front desk and he was nice. We checked in at 313pm and the check in time is at 3pm. We were given the keys and proceeded to our room with the door open when I entered the room it was in the BEGINNING stages of being torn down for the next customer, which is me! The house keeping lady was nice; But I was prepared to arrive to my room and relax before starting the next leg of my trip. I work kn a schedule. Perhaps under staffed? If yes, that's not the customers problem that's the owner/manager. Let me say I did stop by the hotel at 11am to do pre checkin/handle the paperwork so when I returned at 3pm all I had to do was pick up the key. It is now 337pm, 34mins PAST CHECK IN and I am sitting in the room I paid for while it is still being cleaned. Not happy. Of course I want a clean room but I don't want it to intrude on my scheduled reserved time. I will return with updates following my exit. read more

The short story: Rooms are gross, hotel staff is rude, way over priced... Motel 6 is probably nicer and provides better service... The long one: First of all, the website is terrible for booking and is not user friendly. We booked two rooms, but when I called to confirm the reservation days before checking in they only had one. This could have been my fault, but to make matters worse when I called they said they had one room left but the rate I paid originally online was no longer available and I had to pay almost twice the rate for the second room. Bait and switch????? Make sure you confirm reservations with the hotel after booking and check your email confirmation carefully (which I failed to do). They were not willing to match the room rate, even after asking them to check with the manager and explaining this was a once in a lifetime trip for my mom (who is battling cancer) with her daughters and grand daughters. When I tried to share my moms story with the hotel over the phone they didn't show any compassion or understanding whatsoever for my moms situation. I even asked them if there was anything nice they could do for my mom, we would be appreciative (room upgrade or whatever) and they didn't do anything. There is no elevator here, so if anyone in your party has trouble with stairs be sure to clarify that when booking. When we checked in we were on the 2nd floor and we had someone in our party who struggles with stairs. We thought it would be okay, but it wasn't. When I explained this to them the front desk clerk was rude and acted like we were inconveniencing them and said the only way they would move us was if we hadn't touched anything in the room. Since someone used the bathroom they refused to move us. So one of our guests didn't go out to dinner with us that night because she was worried about making it back up the stairs. The walls in the rooms were dirty and desperately in need of fresh paint. There was a missing painting above one of the beds and a dirty nail still in the wall. The blinds are old, dirty and didn't work properly. One of the windows in our rooms was broken and the shattered glass hadn't been replaced. To open the window (which was necessary to get the smoke smell out) you had to use a hanger to prop it open because the window wouldn't stay up. The designated smoking area was at the bottom of the stairs under our room. There were large gaps around our door so anytime someone smoked, we could smell the smoke in our room. To top it all off, when we were loading up to leave we locked keys in one of the rooms and I had to go to the front desk to ask for a key to get back in. The front desk clerk was extremely rude and accusatory right off the bat. She asked me how many people were in my room and implied that we were trying to rip off the hotel. I clarified to her we had two rooms and that we had already told her how many people were in our party , we weren't violating any room occupancy rules and she backed off. I will never stay here again. The rooms are way over priced. You do not get what you pay for. The pictures they post of the rooms must be old because they are not that fresh looking. read more

By the end of the night, their parking lot was full and we ended up parking on the street almost a block away. :( Our room was clean and the sheets were respectable. there were some rips in the couch. My issue with this place is their poor customer service. They billed me twice. I am still trying to get a refund but I'm getting the run-around. Lady in the front desk has the rudest customer service. We checked in with a service dog and when we checked out she started yelling at me and charged me an extra $50.00 for having a service dog without my consent. I told her that it's illegal to charge someone with a service dog and mentioned that they can get in trouble. I showed her my paperwork and she refunded my $50.00 after 25 mins of arguing. My boyfriend and I just returned from a weekend stay at this hotel. We purchased a deal on living social that came with a two night stay, wine tasting at Silenus Vineyards, and a bottle of red wine from Gentleman Farmer. What more could you ask for! The hotel was nothing spectacular like other places we have stayed at, but it had everything we needed. Our room was clean, had a big king size bed, friendly hotel workers, and was in an excellent location. Everything that we had planned was within blocks of our hotel. We were able to do the wine tasting, receive massages from Massage Envy across the street, and go shopping at the outlets. It was the perfect weekend get away and all for a great price. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I recommend it to anyone considering taking a trip to Napa. My only complaint/suggestion is to not add an upgrade to your room. We chose the upgrade so we can have the king bed and jacuzzi bath tub, but in our case it wasn't completely worth it. The tub was small and my boyfriend is 6'2" so we didn't bother using it. I will admit I was pretty nervous after reading some of the previous reviews. I'm happy to say, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this place. We stayed Friday-Sunday Memorial Day weekend for a total of $400. Yeah, it was expensive as hell, but it was a holiday weekend and we booked it two weeks ago and everything else was sold out or $400 per NIGHT. Plus the outrageous Napa city & tourism tax. We're fine with what we paid. As you pull up, the sign looks fugly and washed out, but don't let that scare you. As soon as you turn the corner you start to see where the pretty pictures were taken. My ONE complaint is that when trying to confirm our reservation, it took me two days to get someone to answer the phone. When we arrived, there was no one in the office...so now we know why. Parking is plentiful and well lit. If you are handicapped or can't walk up stairs, make sure to request an accessible room as there are two flights of stairs (one on either side) and no elevator. Sure the walls were thin, but most old hotels's walls and windows are. Our neighbors were all polite adults so there were no problems. The road noise that I read in previous reviews wasn't really anything to complain about. Unless you like to go to sleep at 5pm. The bathroom was clean, maintained and nothing was broken. The bed was HUGE and so comfy. There were plenty of extra pillows stashed around in drawers and shelves. The AC is old school and you have to decide before you go to bed: hot or cold. There's no auto or thermostat. So it s either off or on. We had no problem snuggling in and leaving it on. The staff was average, not rude, but definitely going through the motions. This place was close to main street and the event we were attending, so it was perfectly fine for us. We would stay here again, assuming it would be relatively priced to date. read more

Thank goodness I didn't read any of the reviews before coming here. I'm pathologically averse to roaches. Anyway, we didn't experience any bugs. The bed was comfortable. Soft sheets. Good A/C and quiet. This hotel is a very good value for what you pay. I would have rated 5-star but for the 9 p.m. cut off to the hot tub. I really think that could be pushed to 10. Also, it would be nice to provide a channel lineup for the TV stations in the room. Nearby Starbucks, Taco Joint, nice grocery store, Massage Envy, and other businesses that made our stay very comfortable. Didn't have to drive just to get lunch or breakfast. One other suggestion ~ would be nice to have good coffee in the morning in the Office:) Just a suggestion! read more

The basics: It is an old motel in Napa that sits just off the highway. This was probably a Motel 6 or a Ramada in a previous life before it was sold to a private individual who then shined it up a little. What works: It is a fine option for a low cost overnight stay in Napa. There are options for the standard room, an upgraded room with a jacuzzi tub, and the premium room with a 2 person jacuzzi tub. The linens are upgraded from the typical roadside motel sheets. So much so they won't grate your skin off as you slide on them. The rooms are pretty clean and there are no bugs. The neighborhood seems to be an older section of town which is a little run down but safe. There are eating options within walking distance. There is a flat panel tv with plenty of channels available in the room. What to improve: Although this was a one night stay I wouldn't have stayed longer after seeing some things. For starters there is no secondary safety lock on the door and the doors are very loose in the jam so they shake/jiggle a lot. I actually put a chair under the door handle as a safety precaution to ease my wife's mind. There are just blinds on the windows so even at night the rooms are lit up like daytime from all the exterior light flooding in. The walls are SUPER thin so you can hear people talking in the next room clearly. The windows I can only guess are single pane because they are just as bad. The mattress is hard as a rock which is great if that is your thing, but not mine. When I started my shower it sprayed everywhere because it was not threaded onto the pipe coming from the wall and then it fell off. This forced me to have to take a bath which is so small and narrow I had to scruntch my shoulders together to get my upper body in the tub and then my legs were sticking out of it. My wife who is 5'3" 120lbs was laughing when she tried to get in because even she was having trouble fitting. I mentioned the shower when I was checking out and the woman working the counter basically said I was lying and that the room stays occupied and nobody else had mentioned it. I then watched her go check it while I loaded my car. The short version: For a SINGLE night stay on the cheap it would be fine if you had a sleeping mask and earplugs. Maybe even a sleep med to help also. The rooms are clean and safe, but need some updating (the 1970's want their furniture back). You just have to remember it is a cheap MOTEL not a Ritz Carlton so manage your expectations. read more

My husband and I stayed here during our two night stay in Napa Valley. We were really impressed for it being a 3 star. It had a small fridge for our wines that we bought as well as a wet bar. It was conveniently located around all the restaurants and local businesses. I would go back and stay there. It wasn't expensive. read more

Chablis Inn - Hotels Near Me - Napa, California

Stayed here for two nights and have absolutely no complaint. We had 3 rooms between the 7 of us, and they had put all three rooms together at the top floor, as we requested. It doesn't have the frills like room service or complimentary breakfast, but I don't think that's particularly needed for a trip to Napa. It's within walking distance from a large strip mall containing Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Peet's Coffee, Target, etc., and we were able to take a nice 10-minute stroll to Whole Foods to get some awesome breakfast. It's also only a 10-minute ride from downtown. The hotel is very clean and the beds were comfortable. It has all the basics like a coffee pot, small fridge, hair dryer, and TV. They also offered to put a microwave in the room, if we asked for one during check-in. Overall, I'd definitely go back when traveling with friends - I don't think you can get a better deal in Napa. Given the price, I think this place definitely deserves a solid 4 stars. read more

I booked through Orbitz and not even 3 hours later ha to cancel due to vehicle breakdown. I explained to front desk and so did Orbitz. The man refused to cancel room or even charge me a modified rate. He told me it required minimum of 72 hours cancellation. I explained i didn't even have the reservations then. Stayed here on a Saturday night after a day in Napa. The room is fairly clean and staying upstairs definitely has an advantage of noise level control (as seen in other negative reviews). It is a motel and not a hotel so do not expect much. There is a pool but we didn't get to use it. Downfall is that there was a few strands of hair on the towels in our room which always make me a little weary. If you get the room with the jacuzzi bathtub, make sure you turn on the knob OUTSIDE the bathroom to turn it on (weird, right?) Overall, the stay was nice for the price. I'm updating my review from 2/17/13. My livingsocial deal expired but my voucher states the "paid value does not expire". To make sure, I called livingsocial and the person to whom I spoke stated all I had to do was call the Inn. I did and spoke to Darcy who stated due to a management change they do not accept the "paid value" of the voucher. I'm currently in the process of resolving this with livingsocial. Switched our rooms and downgraded us without informing us, the pool is tiny and the hot tub even smaller, right next to the train. If you're looking for a cheap bed in napa it's okay, but anything else look elsewhere. The staff was helpful and nice but do yourself a favor and stay at the motel 6 next door.
